Some of these chiropractors were good, and some were very good. Dr. Esposito, however, is great. He's not just another "back cracker", as he focuses most heavily on stretching. That change in method/focus for my treatment, along with some nutrition suggestions and general good advice in terms of changing some basic habits, has attributed heavily to a seemingly-impossible level of improvement in my spinal and disc health on a recent MRI, compared to a bleak-looking one just five years prior. I only tend to go to his office once every three weeks or so, but each time I leave feeling a little better, and a little wiser.

Traditional medicine has its advantages, but for skeletal problems and conditions like chronic…read moremigraines or asthma I highly recommend this acupuncture facility. The doctor is amazing - he has excellent skills in finding the source of the problem, and the relief happens within a few hours. It often takes 4-5 treatments to completely reverse what is going on, but no medicine -- no side effects -- and the absence of pain is a miracle. I have been to so many medical doctors and even chiropractors before coming here. They have no clue what to do -- just meds and painful manipulation. You need to go to a certified practioner, not a doctor who took a brief course. Dr. Distefano has been here for many years and he truly cares about his patients. This is such a miracle -- truly! It does not hurt and you just sleep during the treatment. I also want to emphasize that this facility is very clean, extremly sanitary, and the doctor gives you his full attention during treatment. He listens - so important! I had terrible skeletal issues for which I could not get help! I am so grateful! An interesting side effect is that my immune system has improved since beginning treatments. I rarely get sick and if I have a little cold, it goes away in a day. But very seldom do I get sick, which is in contrast to years ago. You can always read about acupuncture. They talk about the "chi" which is something about the balance of the body. It is really something to be considered. More people are now open to it, I think. Remember - this is an ancient art and is still being used worldwide. Some people tell me "I don't believe in acupuncture" which is silly. It's not a religion, but a method of healing that works. If you have chronic pain, or residual pain from an accident, stop taking mega doses of pain killers (which can lead to ulcers) and come here. That's what I believe in :) It definitely worked for me!

UPDATED REVIEW -- 2 YEARS LATER:…read more It has been 2 years since I started treatment, and unfortunately, I am back where I started. I regret investing $7,000 to ultimately be in constant pain again. I want to update my original review because I feel it is important for anyone reading it today to know how my experience ultimately unfolded. When I originally wrote this review, I genuinely believed this treatment had changed my life. Before treatment with Dr. Gertner, I felt helpless, disconnected from my body, and had zero motivation. I was only 27 years old and had been living every day with chronic neck pain, joint and nerve pain, and constant fatigue. Despite sleeping 8 hours a night, my energy was nonexistent. I had seen countless specialists and chiropractors, desperately looking for answers, but none of them could pinpoint the cause of my symptoms. After being told repeatedly that because my blood work was normal, there was supposedly nothing wrong with me, I began to feel like I was crazy and slowly accepted that pain as my new reality. Then I found upper cervical chiropractic treatment. From my very first phone call with Dr. Gertner, I felt hopeful. He reassured me that he had heard these symptoms before and was confident he could help. After my consultation, I felt validated and believed I had finally found the answer I had been searching for. At the time I wrote this review, I truly believed I had my life back. I described waking up energized and with zero pain because that was genuinely how I felt at the time. Unfortunately, two years later, my experience has changed. I am now back to dealing with constant pain--the very symptoms I originally sought treatment for. After investing $7,000 and two years of my life into this treatment, it is incredibly disappointing to find myself back where I started. Looking back, I also regret overlooking what I now consider to have been red flags, including being asked for $5,000 upfront. At the time, I was desperate for answers and so hopeful that I had finally found something that would help that I didn't question it the way I wish I had. I am leaving this update because I don't want someone reading my original review to assume that the results I experienced at that time represent my experience today. They don't. I genuinely believed in this treatment when I wrote my original review. That is what makes having to write this update so difficult. I regret ever becoming a patient here.
