Disclaimer: Sadly, I didn't trust him enough to even make it to the acupuncture part. I walked into Gee's office, and it was my first time being to an acupuncturist, so of course I was hopeful but also a bit nervous. Gee came on SO strongly straight off the bat. He sat with me and gave me a long lecture about how he has more years of experience than any other doctor. I started to feel like it was an interrogation or test. He began to raise his voice, asking how I would check to see if the place is credible, and then further felt it was his job to explain that he's studied thousands of herbs which is why he's the real deal. It just sounded like he was defending his practice because of an insecurity. Not only that, but when he asked me what I do for a living and I told him, he made patronizingly made fun of it. He said "____________ in china are sh**". I responded that I don't like cursing straight to his face, and he completely ignored me and proceeded to mock the way "Americans" treat that job like it's an important one. I was so stunned by the unprofessionalism that when he told me to "just enjoy it", I was unable to even imagine receiving any sense of relief or relaxation in an environment like that. He said "this is not a babysitting service" when I was hesitant to dress, yet he kept putting pressure on me to get acupuncture, as if yelling would help change my mind which was already 90 percent made up on the call to leave. I drove an hour for Gee, only to find out that his practice just isn't a good fit for me. I truly hope that he does provide quality care which counteracts his rudeness and bedside manner, but I guess I wasn't willing to take the risk on that tradeoff. read more

My husband and I went to see Dr. Gee. We have been to a number of acupuncturists and were looking for someone in our area. Dr Gee was raving the whole time in a loud voice about how he's misunderstood. This was very unsettling and really made us nervous when we should be relaxing and healing. I had hip pain and right after receiving a treatment from him, my hip pain was worse for a few days and then settled back to how painful it was before I saw Dr Gee- no improvement from his treatment. I was literally walking crooked for several days. Emergency departments in the past had stated "it's muscular" and CT showed degenerative disease. Dr. David Gee of Mt. Vernon/Fleetwood. Five Stars!! Absolutely!! And here's why. Experience One. I recently lost my spouse after a year's battle with Cancer. The stress and grief took its toll on my health. Pre-diabetes became full diabetes. Cholesterol, blood pressure, arthritis, and digestion set off alarms for medical intervention. The prescriptions from my endocrinologist created intolerable side effects. I stopped them and sought an alternative. I discovered Dr. Gee. Humorous, professional, thorough and compassionate. He prescribed a custom formula of herbal teas for one month. My well being bounced back. Subsequent blood work showed that the alarming numbers were leveling closer to normal. Prescription drugs are not required. Experience Two. I now felt so good that I accepted an assignment to again work in mainland China for six weeks. Once in China, I experienced severe constipation. Nothing brought relief. I was brought to a Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital to see one of their highest doctors. She prescribed herbal teas. Still, the constipation continued. My legs began to swell and my knees and legs became extremely painful. I ended up seeing the head gastroenterologist of a major Western Medicine Hospital and was directly admitted. I cannot say enough good things about this Dr. He has helped me when my primary and orthopedic couldn't/wouldn't help. Chronic pain for years, 12 tests later, no one can tell me why I had pain, why my knee was swelling everyday, and i was told that my frozen shoulder had to be handled after my primary issues. Dr Gee has my shoulder moving in 6 sessions and within those 6, I had 4 for my knee. After the 4 sessions for my knee, I only get localized swelling when I overuse my knee. I am continuing the knee sessions until I am good! He also makes teas. The tea tastes terrible, it it does the body and soul good. I've had post menstrual symptoms for over 7 years, they are almost all gone. I sleep better, and feel more in control of myself in stressful situations. A side effect of stranger nails is a big plus. I went to see Dr. Gee on Friday, he told me that acupuncture will not help my issues but herbs for the next 3 months for $500 each will save me, total $1,500. After his sales pitch, he performed acupuncture on me, for temporary relief. He did his thing and removed them. I get up and put my hand on the back of my neck and I felt needles, "sorry lady, sorry lady". I started moving around, again placed my hand on my neck to find more needles. I went to Dr. Gee for sciatica and general lethargy during the winter of 2018. He sat down with me for about a half hour/45min to talk with me about what my issues were, ask me some essential questions and conduct some tests. He explained that he could treat the issues I was having with acupuncture, cupping and medicinal tea. I went to Dr. Gee twice a week for a few weeks then as the pain got better decreased to once a week for about a month. I've been going to Dr. Ghee for Chronic and Acute Pain since 2014. He has a light hearted funny demeanor to ease his patients that I appreciate. Dr. Ghee's knowledge in acupuncture and holistic medicine extends beyond what is practiced in the US. I am a walking testament of his skills. After injuring my knee and back since Feb. of 2017 the option of knee surgery was being discussed. My knee was always inflamed and after 5mons of PT I wasn't near any progress that I want. I finally referred my knee issue to him and after 3 sessions it have improved leaps and bounds. My physiatrist was even amazed of the improvement and took his info. I called Dr. Gee to see whether or not he took my insurance. First off, Dr. Gee answered his phone himself; not a receptionist. I thought this was odd. When I asked about the insurance, he went off on me; yelling that his business was a holistic "spa" that didn't take insurance. He talked over me and then hung up on me! Less than two minutes later, HE called me back, stating that my number was on his caller ID. I told him that it was me who had just called to find out about insurance. I said I only wanted information and if I'd insulted him, I apologize. He told me to come by his facility to check it out and then he hung up; AGAIN!
