Patient Abandonment by Neurosurgeon at Critical Moment…read more Dr. Goldberg evaluated my 82-year-old mother at Englewood Hospital for progressive spinal stenosis with severe neurological symptoms. Dr. Goldberg stated he would not perform surgery at Englewood Hospital due to concerns about post-surgical complications and the hospital's inability to handle them. Dr. Goldberg stated he would sign transfer paperwork anywhere, at any time, by anyone who asks to help facilitate transfer to a specialty care hospital. Then Dr. Goldberg disappeared. No explanation. No communication. No reassignment to another neurosurgeon. I contacted Dr. Goldberg's office requesting he follow through on his commitment. No response. My mother is now mostly wheelchair-bound with urinary retention and inability to move her bowels. She continues to deteriorate by the day. She is currently hospitalized with an unknown outcome. This could have potentially been reversed if Dr. Goldberg had not abandoned her at her most vulnerable time of need. This is patient abandonment. Dr. Goldberg, at my mother's most vulnerable time of need: will you help, or will you abandon her again? If you cannot trust a doctor to follow through on facilitating the care they themselves recommended, how can you possibly trust them to handle post-operative complications? Choose your neurosurgeon wisely. This review is based on documented facts and recorded statements. All claims are supported by verifiable evidence. Rating:

Let me begin by saying that when I initially started at Executive Park Physical Therapy I was in really bad shape. I was suffering from excruciating medial tibial stress syndrome . Which is basically a bad case of shin splints (the worse). It was so painful to the point that I was unable to run, or walk up and down the stairs, etc. People told me that I would never get rid of shin splints and that they would always hurt whenever I run. Just few weeks here and I was already seeing progress. My legs were feeling stronger and I was meeting my goals with great results. Dr. Ivan cares for each and every one of his patients. He listens to your demands and he provides the right therapy to relieve your symptoms. I now have "legs made of Gold", lol. Dr. Ivan is a wonderful Doctor, very knowledgeable in his work, and has excellent table side manners. Dr, Ivan and his team are very supportive, encouraging and display excellent professionalism. They basically treat you like family and ensure that your needs are met. Last but not least the facility is very clean, and they have top quality exercise machines. I highly recommend Executive Park Physical Therapy of Yonkers.

The hospital itself looks like there hasn't been any renovations since the 70s. The rooms are disgusting and never ever get cleaned. It'll be dirty when you get there and then you'll stay there for days not seeing it get cleaned even once. That's probably why the rooms often reek of human feces, especially since the staff will just leave piles of human feces sitting in the room for you to smell. The nurses gossip about patients like a bunch of chickens, often even gossiping about patients with other patients. They are constantly violating HIPPA right in front of your eyes. You'll lay for hours in extreme pain, and need to bug and harass multiple people multiple times just to get medicine that gives you an hour of pain relief. You won't be able to get any sleep because of the noise of the patient next to you snoring like a grizzly bear and the patient in the hall screaming "help me" and "I want to die" for DAYS on end. You'll need to beg to see a doctor, in fact at night there's actually usually only one doctor in the entire hospital. You'll wait days to just to get a quick minor surgery because they lack the ORs and staff to take care of the patients in the hospital. They will not let you transfer to another hospital and will threaten you if you try to leave just to get you to stay. Do not come here under any circumstances, even if it is an emergency. You're better off dead than staying here.

I went to a spine specialist and left the consult with a bad feeling. I was referred to Dr Chiles by two co-workers. My first contact was with Sarah and Jessica in the office. They were absolutely fantastic and made this stressful situation so much better. At my consult, I felt comforted and impressed. Dr Chiles is very knowledgeable, yet spoke to me in terms I could understand. I was provided as long of an appointment as I needed to have all my options presented and all my questions answered. Actually, he provided so much pertinent information, many questions were answered before I asked them. My consult was informative, comforting, and left me with a true sense of hope. I needed a laminectomy, decompression and fusion of my L3-L5 vertebrae. We scheduled my surgery at NYP Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville. Dr Chiles and his surgical (as well as his office) staff are the absolute best. Together, they resolved my crippling back pain, got me standing upright, back on my feet and back to enjoying life pain free. Thank you to everyone who assisted me especially Dr Chiles! I highly recommend Dr Chiles to anyone with a spinal injury/illness. KMB
