For over ten years I have been a patient of Dr. Sullivan. I always appreciated his honest and…read morestraight forward mannerisims as my primary physician. With the past year (Summer 2021-Summer 2022), I've noticed changes that have made me consider that maybe it was time to switch doctors. Almost his entire front office and medical team were new, much younger than prior long term staff, and we're more mechanically than personable with patience interactions. Also, his "co-pay" policy was changing from time to time depending on staffing. Today, when following up on lab reports earlier in the week, I was told I needed to pay a co-pay, I was confused because I didn't recall having to pay a copay for a bloodwork follow up appointment. I was also told there was no-copay if I had a follow up appointment within 72 hours. I mentioned I was not informed of this "new" policy when making my appointment. I asked the manger, Kim who was informing me of these changes, that since I didn't bring any forms of payment if she could please bill my account. I was told by Kim that Dr. Sullivan's office doesn't bill patience. I asked when there was a shift to the policy since I had been there on Tuesday. Kim back peddled and mentioned the 72 hour policy. Once I was seated; I reflected on the date of my blood worked and realized I was within the 72 hour tiemframe mentioned. Shortly after that, Kim took my paperwork (which delayed my appointment by more than 15 minutes) and returned aboit 15 minutes later to inform me she had just spent time talking with my insurance agency and they told her my copay for lab work was $30, and insurance policies are always changing what they cover. Kim then stated she didn't need to deal with my badgering; in front of the entire waiting room with other patents were waiting. I already paid the copay for lab work. I was taken into a medical room over 30 minutes after my 7:30 AM scheduled time. it was not particularly busy. Dr. Sullivan was causally having a conversation with a non - patience visitor for apx 10 minutes. I waited for five minutes, took my paperwork, and left the office. I have already found a new, highly recommended doctor. Kim, from my understanding is the Office Manager, with her boss, Dr. Sullivan, have manager to ruin the warmth, care, and professionalism that was Fitness and Recovery.

Really wish I wasn't writing this…read more I called the office to schedule an appointment as a new patient at the beginning of October. The front desk confirmed that they accepted my insurance and scheduled an appointment for Saturday October 23rd. On the day of the appointment I arrived at the office and it was discovered that there was an issue my insurance card, so I wasn't able to be seen that day (insurance office was closed). No problem, successfully rescheduled the appointment with the front desk the following Monday for November 5th, as my insurance issue was resolved. This morning I got a call from the office manager canceling my rescheduled appointment, as the office is no longer accepting new patients. Baffled, I explained that I would have been seen two weeks ago if not for a separate issue with my insurance and that no one had mentioned "not accepting new patients" then, but the office manager just kept repeating that the office isn't accepting any new patients at this time and that I would have to look for a primary care provider elsewhere. So was I lied to when I scheduled an appointment over a month ago after confirming that the office was accepting new patients and accepted my insurance? Why was I only informed two days before my rescheduled, CONFIRMED appointment that the office was no longer accepting new patients after already having made a trip there? Do they not like my insurance or something despite listing it as accepted on their website? Why was I even allowed to reschedule my appointment or even make the first one if the office isn't seeing new patients? This was such a massive waste of time. Apparently this is the only office nearby that accepts my insurance so now I have to start trying to get an appointment all over again and travel much farther away to find a Primary Care Physician.
