I decided to give them a second chance, having worked with them so successfully for 15 years, called and made the reservation with Celebrity Cab, I called three times to verify the information and their confirmation. 15 minutes before our guests' arrival at the airport, (an hour and a half drive), Celebrity Cab called and said that yet again, their cab broke down. My husband took the call, and unfortunately lost his temper, which is rare. He and I both feel betrayed and utterly confused about why Celebrity Cab has let us down so badly twice in one week. Unfortunately in Amherst, MA, there are not many cabs, and Celebrity was always the best, I don't understand what has happened with them. Do they not understand that these contractual agreements matter? I have been using Cosmic Cab for well over a year now. The drivers are great, the problem is that…read morethe cabs are routinely late and the dispatcher/owner forgets fairly often to send rides out when people like me call in advance and ask for a ride at a set time. He's also rude, confrontational, and is a serial liar when the question is: What's the ETA? I've been tolerating the bad service for a long time because 1.) It's the only option in this area beyond Uber/Lyft. 2.) I like the drivers a lot. However, tonight, my good relationship with them all went to Hell because I complained -once-. One time in over a year, and the dispatcher flips out at me and accuses me of doing things I straight up didn't do, like canceling rides frequently, which no, I never did, because I was trying to be nice and grateful. I think if you need a cab, you're probably going to have to use Cosmic anyways, just be prepared for long wait times and never believe the dispatcher when he tells you "they'll be right there" because it's never true.
