I have been using Cosmic Cab for well over a year now. The drivers are great, the problem is that the cabs are routinely late and the dispatcher/owner forgets fairly often to send rides out when people like me call in advance and ask for a ride at a set time. He's also rude, confrontational, and is a serial liar when the question is: What's the ETA? I've been tolerating the bad service for a long time because 1.) It's the only option in this area beyond Uber/Lyft. 2.) I like the drivers a lot. However, tonight, my good relationship with them all went to Hell because I complained -once-. One time in over a year, and the dispatcher flips out at me and accuses me of doing things I straight up didn't do, like canceling rides frequently, which no, I never did, because I was trying to be nice and grateful. I think if you need a cab, you're probably going to have to use Cosmic anyways, just be prepared for long wait times and never believe the dispatcher when he tells you "they'll be right there" because it's never true. read more

Mike picked me up from Cooley Hospital. He yelled at me which was witnessed by vallet. As we walked to the car he pulled up further and abruptly stopped. I didn't know which cab service I was waiting on but I wasn't out there late. Mike (an older male driver) yelled, "you call a cab and get in. What are you waiting for?!" He drove me home recklessly and like a total lunatic. I was too afraid to say anything because I thought he would drop me in the middle of nowhere. I cried the entire trip and he turned up the radio to drown me out. I spoke with the owner of Cosmic Cab (Jeff Miller). Jeff was very rude and said I should have called the cops. He said there was nothing he could really do about it because it was my word against the driver's, but all he would do was speak to the driver. I took this cab because I had no way home and the hospital paid for it. If you value your life, don't use this cab service. The owner was very short with me and agitated and made it into my fault. read more

This is the worst taxi experience of my life. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE AND I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS MORE. I needed to ensure that I would be able to get to a place near Hadley in the morning and I was very worried that the Ubers wouldn't be available then so I booked a taxi ride with Cosmic. I should've checked the reviews before I booked them because they were HORRIBLE. I usually never use such strong language but honestly, the ride was not okay. Other than them being on time there were zero redeeming qualities. Here's how the ride went down: - Got into the car and was already being unprofessional. Also the car reeked and was extremely dirty. - The city was doing construction on one of the roads and the driver kept complaining the entire time about the construction and told me that it would be faster to walk to my end destination instead. To show his impatience he kept pressing the gas very hard and braking also very hard. It was such a rough ride. - We almost got into 2 car accidents. Let me repeat, WE ALMOST GOT INTO TWO CAR ACCIDENTS. This car in front of us was trying to turn into our lane when we were very reasonably far away and the driver essentially sped up very fast just to ensure the car in front didn't turn into the lane and then trash talked them. We almost bumped into that car. Then the driver missed the entrance into my end destination and he kept cursing and immediately did a U-Turn even though there was oncoming traffic in the other end and was backing up into incoming cars that were about to hit us. And then trash talked both sides. I HAVE NEVER FELT MORE UNSAFE IN MY LIFE. - I didn't want to tip him of course. It was horrible. Then he kept being mad at me about it? EXCUSE ME??? Have you seen the way you drive. HORRIBLE. - They charged me $21 for 3 miles??? What??? - Called HQ to complain and they didn't particular seem to car. Seems like they probably get this complaint a lot and didn't want to look into it. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Will never be using this service and if you care about your safety, neither should you. This is the type of thing that honestly makes me scared to drive. People are bananas. read more

Despite the surprisingly frequent rudeness of their drivers (not counting the one who always, always spends the trip in a monologue about how much his job sucks, which is merely annoying), I just drew the rudest of the lot for the second time in a row, who this outing both ripped me off and swore at me as I was leaving. The owner's take was that it was a "he said/he said" situation, there was obviously friction, and that it was wrong for me to hold a company responsible for the actions of one driver. No, it is NOT wrong for me to hold a company responsible for the actions of one driver, when the company's response is "Meh, whatever, we're the only game in town." No, Cosmic is not the only game in town; there's GoGreen, Aaron's, Lyft and Uber as well. We'd been using Cosmic for three or four rides a week, but the proper response to a situation like this is "We're very sorry, sir, it won't happen again." It's sad that Cosmic seems incapable of this basic tenet of customer service. POSTSCRIPT: The owner actually just did call me back, over an hour later, and started to chew me out for "costing my wife her cab service to go to work." HER reaction, sitting across from me and hearing it before I hung up, was to gasp "What the hell?" Riiiiiight, because they're really concerned about her, instead of preserving those three or four fares a week. Nice try. Br very careful with Cosmic cab and do not pay them with a credit card. They showed up in the wrong parking lot and I had to go to the street and flag them down. They charged me a $10 waiting fee for me to flag them down. . Only pay in cash so you have control. read more

This cab company provides dependable rides within reasonable times. The drivers are all really great people, and sometimes I enjoy talking with them. The fares seem fair considering. Will use again! read more

I haven't and won't ride with them. As far as driving goes, its a pretty minor infraction but I have been passed twice on a double solid line for daring to go the speed limit. Terrible business, I will never use them again and advise others in their right mind not to as well. Reckless drivers, rude owner who has a reputation of being a local drugdealer who doubles as a scumbag. Didn't know this until my boyfriend told me after we tried to get a cab to work one day due to the rain, the owner gives me the timeframe and after it's been about 5 minutes past the latest time he gave me I call back to see how much longer it would be (I don't want to be late for work, not unreasonably) and he says "pulling up in 3 minutes." After it's been probably 5 minutes or more, the owner pulls up FLYING down the street, and when I go to open the door (rather roughly, but I've had drivers inform me to do this as the doors stick) he starts barking at me "whoa whoa whoa, watch it with my door!" To which my boyfriend and I decide nevermind, screw this guy. He's way too proud of his trashy company, as evidenced by his countless replies to Google reviews bragging about how he's served the pioneer valley for over a decade (seemingly reluctantly) and he uses his being the "only game in town" as an excuse to treat his customers like garbage and hires drivers who demand tips from people who are already likely financially struggling. Garbage cab service. Never any drivers available and act like you're being a pain in the ass for calling.

I had just the most awful driver. He started off by tailgating other cars, and once we got on the highway was driving at just under 90 miles an hour. I had to ask him to slow down and when I did, he pulled a passive aggressive move and slowed down to under 50 miles an hour which was just as dangerous as other cars and trucks were now zooming past us by 25 miles an hour. Also the car smelled of cigarette smoke. All in all, a pretty awful ride. read more

Horrible company. Ended up getting pulled over, sat on the road, and charged for the entire thing. When I called them, they tried to blame me!!! They hung up on me multiple times, and said that I could call the owner, but when I asked his name they wouldnt tell me. Ok, so how could i call, and talk to the owner? Let me tell you the owner is a cool dude nice man I want to give 5 stars but he has this one driver Kathy. If you get her get out of the car immediately and have him send someone else. She cuts people off, drives extremely fast for no reason, rides other cars to the point she almost hits them and speeds up while people are breaking. She doesn't more shit too thats just some of it. This women almost killed boyfriend and I in a multiple car pile up on the highway he told her to slow down and instead of doing that she kept her foot on the gas and turned her head around almost rear ending 3 cars and a state trooper. I was screaming STOP STOP STOP. if we didn't do that we'd be dead. Mind you she literally says nothing acts like it's no big fucking deal like she didn't almost eject us from the car and doesn't say sorry. Then asks if I want to give a tip. ABSOLUTELY NOT. she's lucky I paid before we started driving because I wasn't going to pay her at all. Mind you she's like this all the time and has at least gotten in almost 4-5 accidents per ride. If you have kids or are elderly or just care about life do not get into the car with KATHY. She'll eventually hurt someone if not herself. She doesn't care how she drives and always is extremely distracted on the phone as well. Bottom line she needs to be fired and when she is ill take this post down until then don't ride with Kathy anyone else is fine and I really wanted to give a good review but I just can't because of this woman. read more

Horrible experience the other day. After spending nearly 500 hundred dollars with the cab company in 3 days, the rude driver we had actually had the nerve to ask how we were paying our tip meanwhile this was a 130 dollar ride as is. I said to him do we have to tip? He looked at me said and just shut the door. I couldn't believe the balls of this driver to ask for a tip..... I took offense to this what a rude person who asks for a tip? Couldn't believe it and he sat there really expecting me to til him I shut the door and I will never use them again because of that driver no matter what. read more

Then they have to look for another driver. One hour later. So I contacted Cosmic Cab the owner he said he will fit me in. I got home within 30. They were so accommodating and didn't mind making two trips to get all our crew to the places we needed to be. They were way so helpful and quick to pick us up then an uber or lyft would have been . I have not utilized this cab company, but I will never do so because of my experience this morning... A minivan cab dangerously passed me on the right speeding and cutting in front of me to get through a green light, which they did not make. I beeped to acknowledge the danger the driver had caused when weaving through traffic, just to be waiting at the light anyway. As the cab turned left at the light the driver flipped me off. Simply not reliable. I reserved a cab the day before to pick me up that following morning. They never came to pick me up and did not answer phones when I tried to reach them. Would have missed my bus if not for my next door neighbor, who generously offered a ride. I've used this service before and this is the first time this has happened, but still...in the age of Uber, you better be reliable if you want to survive as a cab company. Extremely disrespectful and rude. I called the company (middle of the day, not late at night) and asked the dispatcher how much it would cost if we were two passengers. He quoted me a price and I asked him to send us an extra large car since we were transporting some stuff (a few small bag, a lamp and a poster or two...not suitcases or heavy boxes). The cab shows up and the driver sees the pile of stuff that my neighbor is moving and thinks its ours. She immediately calls the dispatcher and tells him we are moving a lot of luggage. She is so busy doing this she does not open the doors for us (we could hear her talking through the windows). She then informs us the price we were quoted has risen because of "moving fees". It took us three minutes to load our stuff, it fit into just the trunk, and no, the driver did not help. So I call the dispatcher and ask him whats up with the price increase and he is INCREDIBLY rude. Said we did not tell him we were "moving a whole apartment" and we could "unload your stuff and use a different cab" if we had such a problem. When I got mad at just how rude he was and said no we had already loaded the stuff but we were never going to use Cosmic Cab again he said "fine" and that's where our conversation ended. Stellar customer service dude. So basically since the driver did not bother correcting the dispatcher about how much stuff we were actually transporting, she took an extra long route to our destination before calling in to the dispatcher so that it looked like we spent a long time loading the car with our imaginary stuff. I paid them the full amount (with "moving fees") and a full tip, but I meant it when I said I am never using their service again. I don't know who runs Cosmic cab, but you might want to make sure your drivers don't straight up lie to your dispatchers and that your dispatchers have at least a little bit of customer service experience and well, just manners would be nice. Also I once used Funky Cab to actually move a giant suitcase and three pretty heavy boxes, and not only did the driver not charge us extra, she helped us move the stuff into the house. read more

I was driving on the highway (going 70 mind you) when a cosmic cab van started tailing me and beeping at me. Very unprofessional, I had my baby in the car. I called to let the company know that one of their drivers were being unsafe and all I got was "did it cause and accident?" When I replied no they said thank you for letting us know goodbye. The cab showed up 25 minutes late for the pick-up I arranged that morning. While I was waiting I called the dispatcher to find out what was happening and apparently the company dispatchers couldn't contact the driver and didn't know where the cab was. When the driver finally showed up her cover story was that she been given the wrong address. I did notice that when she turned on her phone to get to her GPS app, the app that was currently running was Scrabble. Don't use these guys if you are on a schedule and need to catch a plane or train. read more

I use Cosmic Cab whenever I travel for work, and need a ride to the airport or train station, because they are extremely professional, on time, and they even have female drivers! I have never had a bad experience using their service, (I have great conversations with all the drivers and never worry about getting to my plane on time) and definitely recommend it to all of my friends and family. Never mind they charge less then ALL the other taxis in the area!! read more

At the last minute, I needed to borrow my boyfriend's car for the day so he needed to get a cab to work. I called Cosmic Cab at 6:15am and the dispatch told me a driver would be there in ten minutes. At 6:25am I called Cosmic back to ask if the person was close and the dispatch said "You called me at 6 in the morning, we're going as fast as we can." I told him (politely) that my boyfriend would have to leave at 6:30am at the latest to get to work. The dispatcher got defensive and said "Look, you called us at 6 in the morning, we're going as fast as we can, and now you're threatening me." I told him I was not "threatening" him, I was just letting him now that we may need to cancel if the person doesn't get there (better to let him know than to have the driver show up and no one be here). Dispatch could have just told me that they would not be able to get someone there in time, that's all. Instead, he was so rude and unprofessional I told him to forget it, and he hung up on me. I won't be calling Cosmic Cab again. Next time it will be Uber all the way. read more
