As there isn't parking in the immediate vicinity, I strolled down They have tried to create a Mexican feel with sombreros hanging up everywhere Perhaps the best thing is their comprehensive menu of proper cocktails. During Happy Hour, the regular cocktails are all £3.50. My virgin pina colada was good and my friend was happy with her Singapore Gin Sling We shared a tostada to start - chorizo and prawns were served on a corn cracker with pinto beans. The toppings were nice though the guacamole didn't taste homemade. The waiter had failed to ask how I wanted my rib eye cooked and I waited until he was about to leave the table before telling him. Could do better there. The steak lacked the normal bone that rib eye has but was quite flavourful. The pepper sauce was quite glutinous. My friend's salmon was overcooked by a lot and the pairing with bearnaise sauce tasted a bit odd So a brave attempt to introduce a new genre of food to Epsom but only an average dining experience.

I must preface this review by telling you I am a Tex-Mex snob. I am not proud of it, but it is the…read moretruth. Having said that, I won't be returning to Los Amigos as I was fairly disappointed with the food. My husband and I visited for dinner and tried several dishes. To start, we ordered the tortilla dips and chips and the stuffed jalapeño peppers. The chips were slightly stale and the salsa was more like a sweet tomato sauce. The stuffed jalapeño peppers were good, but they could have been deep fried from a frozen product. For our mains, we had the chicken fajitas and the chicken nachos. The nachos had the same issues as the chips and salsa with the chicken tasting more Spanish than Tex-Mex. The fajitas were cooked okay, but must have had the same Spanish-rice type seasoning as the nachos... which really killed the flavour, in my opinion. I also tried the regular margarita, for which I had high hopes (thinking this could at least be a solid post-work drinks spot.) Sadly, the margarita was made with a mix and had only the one redeeming quality of a well-salted rim. I would have gladly paid another £1 or £2 for a margarita made from scratch- especially at a Tex Mex restaurant! All this said, I do not recommend this restaurant and suggest you go to Wimbledon for either Chiptole or Wahaca for your Tex-Mex cravings.

She raved about this cocktail…read morebar that had won some sort of contest and was showcasing during cocktail week in London (or something like that). So after dinner, we decided to check it out and try a few drinks. She had booked a table, so it wasn't a problem getting in. The table was all marked out for us with a balloon that had her name, our party size and the time. It was a cute way of marking the tables, and it went with the quirky atmosphere of the bar. Quirky? Yes, the bar is quite quirky, pretty much a hipster bastion in Horsham. Balloons? Check. A giant chessboard on the ceiling? Double check. The bathrooms being called the "garden". Oh yes. That being said, the cocktails were interesting and tasty. My partner ordered the "Glastonbooty" that was served in a ceramic boot and had an "absinthe balloon" which turned out to just be a balloon that they sprayed with absinthe. So not so exciting. Plus he said it kind of tasted like dirt. Which may have been the point. I had the "Only Mules and Horses" which came with a photo of Dell Boy and Rodney on the side. For the next round, my partner ordered a Negroni, and it was pretty bitter, even for a Negroni. I just tried shots of their Chai Bourbon and Maple Tequila. The tequila was quite sweet, but nice, but they Chai Bourbon really won me over. So yeah, it's a fun, hipster joint in Horsham. If you're in Horsham, it means it's probably the best place to go.

I'm so happy there is finally a nice cocktail bar in Horsham! It is easy to book a table and I'd…read morerecommend so especially over the weekend as it was really busy. The place is split over two floors. Ground floor with a few bar stools and big bar and then upstairs where there is much more space for large groups round small tables and again a large bar. The decor is cool and as the name hints there is a little bit of quirky taxidermy going on along with a giant chessboard on the ceiling. You receive table service which is good however I think my only gripe is the service was a little slow to begin with and the cocktails take a while to come. The cocktail menu is awesome with lots of different cocktails available to suit all palates and are served it lots of different ways - in a beer can with a sombrero hat or in a tankard orrrr in a pretty dainty cocktail glass. I'm not sure how often they change the menu but I recommend La Vida Loco & Only Mules & Horses.
