I have been trying all week to find a good margarita but i guess I am just to far away from Mexico. Even though they tried, I saw the bartender looking at the menu to figure out what went into the cocktail... very bad sign! I had high hopes for the beef and mushroom pie but once i broke the crust and dug around for the beef only 2 maybe 3 at most were found floating in the sea of sauce. The fish was necessary since the pie was nothing but crust, chips, and a lot of sauce liberally doused over the entire plate. This place needs a lot of work as the cute lone waitress was horrendously under staffed and the place was full of tourists like me. Don't waste your time here... with out even looking you can find better.

Just lucky I visited the gents after my meal not before as the toilets were flooded from broken urinal pipes 'but they had called the plumber' I should've with hindsight have called Environmental Health !! However, they had put up a 'caution wet floor' before one (literally) waded in there : / I won't be going back.

I was pleasantly surprised on my visit here. Last time I visited this chain was a couple of years…read moreago and the menu has expanded greatly since then. With lots of food options it was difficult to decide, we were really pleased with our dinner. I had filo pastry pie with salad and my bf had Lebanese chicken salad. We were both impressed with the portion sizes and taste (except he said the Chicken was a little dry) we went on a Monday so this meant 50% off food bill what a bargain! The venue itself is a decent size and has a fantastic view of the harbour. We came earlier in the day and sat outside for a coffee..even in March it's picturesque as long as you have your coat! Was very busy in the eve but the wait on food wasn't long and the service was friendly and quick..advise not to arrive too late if wanting to eat on the Monday food deal.

I cant say my expectations were up to much, with Slug and Lettuce being a generic chain…read more It was a boiling hot day in Portsmouth, and the Slug and Lettuce was the only place that had a free table outside on the harbour! Great views! It was a really clear day so you could see Gosport easily, and even the Isle of wight! Cocktails - they were BOGOF, and you could mix and match which was a bonus. They used cocktail mix from a bag (?) so wasn't expecting them to be of the best quality, but in actual fact they were quite tasty and worth the price. Food - We opted for a burger each, Scott had chicken, I had beef and we had half each (I'm the girlfriend that has to try everything that Scott has) Both were nice, but the beef was definitely nicer than the chicken. It seemed like a cheap cut. I didn't realise until afterwards that there is a vouchercloud you can use to get 25% off the food. I'll remember that if there is a next time.
