Made an appointment for interior auto detailing over the phone and received a quote. Dropped my car off in the morning and about 5 hours later it was ready for pickup. My car was a mess from my kids and I was impressed with the level of cleaning they were able to perform. It almost looks as good as new! I have been a customer of Ziebart for years and I have never left a review. But this morning I had my best "drop off" experience ever with Jeff. He listened to all of my concerns and was friendly, knowledgeable, proactive and professional. I've never had a bad experience before (there have been some minor past issues), but this was by far the best and Jeff is worthy of recognition. I would definitely give him my business again in the future. Just as a note: This is regarding my experience with a representative/salesman who "wowed" me. Dropped my truck for under coating and picked up next day, was told that truck would be parked inside and locked up for the night, made me feel good till I picked my truck up and discovered that they helped themselves to some money I had in center console, was only like 8 bucks in total and hidden, not really about the money the fact that there going through and steeling. The manager named Peter made it seem like this has happened before and immediately offered to reimburse me, also said he would call me back, another lie as they cover this up. They are not to be trusted, don't leave any valuables in ur vehicle.not only that but there were spots that they missed sprayen...check ur vehicle before u leave the lot. read more

This is a long over due review. I had Ziebart give my (baby) my car some lovin inside and out. They did a great job and my interior from kid spills and Cheerios under the seats were gone. I also had the outside cleaned and tires were sparkling! The service was terrific and if you need to shop at the mall you wait for your whip to get cleaned they will shuttle you to market place mall.... Come on ladies who wouldn't want to spend 5 hrs shopping and having lunch at the mall. This is a great perk. I highly recommend having your baby cleaned here in the near future you won't be disappointed! read more

A total scam! Wish I could give them zero stars. Dropped my car off for interior and exterior detailing. When I picked up the car and inspected the interior, and aside from the cup holders being wiped out, nothing was different from when I dropped it off. Still dirt on the floor and in the carpet, the seats looked the same, the dashboard wasn't even wiped down, grime in between buttons and paneling. They offered to do it again and then offered an upgraded package, and I refused. I have no confident in their abilities to accurately clean my car. I agreed to pay for the exterior cleaning and that was it. It was raining when I picked it up and the outside seemed ok, not that it was dirty when I dropped it off. But then once the rain had stopped and dried, it also looked no different than when I dropped it off. I wish I hadn't even paid for that. Don't waste your time or money. Just clean your car yourself. Amendment: Craig reached out to me after this review. He was very friendly and wanted to correct the experience I had. I ended up going back a week later for the same service. After being there for 5 hours, I went home and still spent 1.5 hrs detailing my car. I greatly appreciate Craig's efforts but I cannot recommend Ziebart for detailing. read more

I wish I could give less than one star. I bought the undercoating package about 5 years ago and got it touched up every year and it has come to be the one day a year I dread the most. The experience is so unpleasant that sometimes I wish I get in a car accident on my way there so I do not have to deal with the employees. Today put me over the edge. I dropped off my car and had to sit through a 20-minute sales pitch of every freaking thing they offer and be asked why I was not willing to purchase it and the "offers" kept getting "better" after each no. Funny how their best offer was never given the first time, it kind of makes you wonder how badly they are screwing customers over. Anyways, after I repeatedly said no, and told them how the previous bad experiences (I only had 1 good out of 5) have jaded me to even wanting to come here anymore, let alone remotely consider buying any other over-priced under-delivered product, we agreed to have my car "done" by mid-afternoon (6 hrs after dropping it off). Fine, go home and wait. I went for a walk at 2 pm figuring that if they called I did not want to talk to any employee to hear about any sales pitches that I know they make while you are waiting for your car (the worst was 4 different sales guys called me in one afternoon while my car was getting done to pitch offers), hoping that I would see maybe a couple of calls and then just a voice mail. Sure enough, when I got back home, there was a missed phone call and voicemail. Perfect my car was probably done, just have to listen to the voicemail to be sure...Nope! It was a salesman, saying that "I NEED to call back concerning my car". Great, what the hell did they do to my car, why would they leave a very cryptic yet almost frantic message? So I call back expecting to hear something happened...Nope! It was a sales guy who went down the list of all the possible things I could get done with my car and what great offers they had. I politely told the guy that I had lost my job and have a new baby so the money is tight and I can't afford anything other than the undercoating. Instead of showing empathy for losing my job when I have a newborn to take care of what did he do? He offers to lower the price on the offers or put me on a payment plan. I repeated to him I had lost my job and had a newborn and cannot afford anything. He still proceeds to offer me "deals" and says I need to reconsider it because "everyone" is buying this 5-year paint protectant for $250. I proceeded to LOSE it on him, I have never gone off so hard on an employee there before, but I had it. How the heck can you hear someone say they lost a job and have a newborn to take care of and brush it off and try to upsell upsell upsell. His only apology was "I have a job to do". I was grateful this happened over the phone and not in person. I might be in a jail cell if it was in person. I, honest to God, believe if I said "I cannot afford it because my house burnt down and I'm homeless" they would say "We have a house-burnt-down deal that you cannot pass up". I hate this place so badly, I dread anything to do with them and cannot trust any work that they do. Shady things first, I heard no less than 3 customers full CC information while I was waiting for my vehicle because they were taking payment info over speaker phone. I was in the waiting area. Paid $1400 for a cover on my pickup. The corner pieces were broken when they delivered it to me. l noticed right away. Their "fix" was to GLUE the corner or give me a discount. Neither option provides a usable cover on my truck. Who would pay that much money for a glued product??? Sales guy Kevin quoted me one price then charged me a different price (more of course) I was told "if you order today we will get it in tomorrow and install it the next day" that also didn't happen. CLASSIC OVER PROMISE UNDER DELIVER Can't understand why they tried to slide a broken cover past a customer. Terrible business hands down. Not to mention the "1 hour install" was almost 3 hours. Pete the manager was OK to work with but doesn't really care at all, it's no skin off his back just mine. He acted like it was an inconvenience for him that they put a broken cover on my truck. No way I will be there before 6 when thet close so the lady tell me they will leave it inside for me to pick it up next day but no they leave a recently washed van outside under a snow blizzard and the lies next day saying they pull it outside in the morning but my van have GPS and shows me where it was and stard and end time of a trip . read more

I recently went for annual free inspection which by the ways takes all day. Not really a fan of having my car tied up all day. I am convinced They keep it all day so they can keep trying to sell you gel coats or anything while they have your car. I spent thousands already but they are not satisfied with that. When you first get there to Drop off you actually have to wait in line to speak with an advisor who will try to sell you something at least 2-3 times before they let you go. Then eventually they will call you when you are waiting and again try hard to sell you something before you come for pickup. I said NO about 10 times to 2 different people before they actually gave up. Annual inspections are supposed to be free but they are not free of being harassed all day to buy something and the inconvenience of not having your vehicle all day. I am most likely done with annual inspections and honestly this is probably what they want anyways if I don't Intend to buy anything more. Too much of a pain and harassment to continue. read more

My experience with the Ziebart on Oriskany St. in Utica, NY was very negative. There was damage to my car that after 3 attempts was not corrected. My experience with their corporate office customer service proved they have little to no influence over their franchise owners. I went to Ziebart for an interior cleaning for pet hair removal. The car was already clean, except for the pet hair. Ziebart charged me $137 to clean my car. Nothing was done to the interior of my car. Coffee spills were still in the coffee cup holder and pet hairs were visible everywhere, even when I first looked into the car. My car was exactly the way it was when I went into their store. I demanded a refund. At first the manager refused, but as soon as I said I was calling the police, he immediately offered me a refund. He did that because he knew the police or anyone else would immediately see that the car had not been cleaned. It was so obvious. I wish I could give them a zero rating. Ordered A Leer truck cap for a 2021 Silverado.Came in within the time frame that was stated. They also installed a bedside that I had removed from my last truck. The installers did a great job. The sales staff were great to work with.There was a little conversation about selling me additional products, but that's how they make their money. Had Ziebart tint my car a week ago, while the customer service I received was great, the tint job could have been better. Here's why: Pros: - no visible creases (except for 1 on driver's side window that faded as it cured) - no bubbles - no spaces left on sides or bottoms of windows - gladly redid a window where tint had defects from manufacturer, no questions asked - left my car clean and dry on the inside Cons: - installer did not catch crease on driver side window or defects (scratches the size of - 's going vertically down the center of passenger side window) which required me to make another appointment/trip to have it fixed - tints were not installed flush to the top of the cabin windows (see posted pics) Overall, decent tint job, with simple improvements that can be made to become excellent read more

Don't go to this place. It's not worth it. They are not customer oriented, they are sales oriented. They priority is not customer satisfaction, but what they can sell, up sell, etc. I took my car in to have tint removed from windows to pass NYS inspection. The rep said it will 1.5 hours. I couldn't wait. So, I made an appointment to bring the car back and leave it with them. When I returned in 45 minutes, despite the fact that I had an appointment, I had to go through the same process with another rep and had to listen to his pitches to upsell me on detailing and other services. He took the car in and said it will 4 hours. I didn't say anything. But after 4 hours they didn't call me. So, I called them and they said it will be ready at around 5pm. I explained that a 1.5 hour job turned into 4 hours and now 7 hours. I was there at 5 but the car was not ready. At 5:45 I started pushing them. I gave my card to the guy and asked him to process the payment without me seeing the car because I was in a hurry. The guy took the car and disappeared. I spoke with the manager and he told someone else to get my car. Nothing happened. All along I asked different people what is going on. They all replied with different answers: "they are doing the last window", "they are pulling it up", "they are cleaning it", etc. At the end, I got the car after 8 hours. No one apologized. Some of the windows are dirty. No one cared. I cannot come up with one positive point about their service, attitude or professionalism! None. read more

For service on August 8th, 2015 - I initially scheduled an appointment for the end of July; when I called to reschedule, I found out that they couldn't locate my original appointment. - I brought my car in for a prepaid auto detailing, employee immediately brought me into his office so he could try to upsell additional services to me. After I advised him that I really don't have any money budgeted for other services, he misunderstood that to mean "offer more services."... I had to point out to him that adding more services doesn't put money into my budget. Once he finally understood that "I'm not in the market to spend more money right now" means "I'm not in the market to spend more money right now", he seemed to become rather neutral in his interactions. For having a car "detailed", it seems like quite a few details were missed: 1) I dropped the down seats to put something in the hatchback, and it was obvious that they didn't take care of vacuuming that crack. 2) The two small windows at the back looked like they had been sprayed with something, but never wiped down. 3) Only 3 out of the 4 tires were given the "shine" coat and I was told it had probably just absorbed it all... Funny, the other tire that was bought at the same time didn't do that. 4) The display with the speedometer and the navigation screen looked like they were swiped at with an overly dirty rag; they both have a streaky haze over them, worse than before the car was cleaned. 5) Driver side rear view mirror was speckled with something. 6) Windshield has a slight haze a week later because it wasn't thoroughly cleaned, and I can see streaks in the corners. While I was happy to have a majority of the car cleaned otherwise, such as the fabric was washed, and the surfaces shined up, it was incredibly disappointing to feel like I have to clean up after the people that were paid to clean my car. read more

Have gone here for a couple years now. First my wife got a remote start. Had nothing but issues for the first 6 months. Malfunctioning and they completely disregarded it. Last year got my truck undercoated and running boards rhino lined. 6 weeks ago made my warranty appointment for today. I arrived 15 mins before they even opened and was the first to check in. When I made the appointment they asked if I was waiting or leaving it, and they knew I was waiting. Appointment was at 8am, I find out they didn't even pull it in till 11. Then when I ask why and all they could say "we don't know, the shop has it's own schedule and we don't know what they're doing". So I asked "so you have 2 different schedules?" No response. Then they tell me they can't do the warranty work on my running boards because they don't have the stuff, after knowing they'd need it. I'd really like to know who takes care of the logistics, because they do not know how to plan. I had enough and told them to give me my truck. 10 mins later it's still not brought out, I look through the window and 10 mins later I see it parked in the back of the rear lot. Finally after saying something again he brings it out. Oh look at that it's fully undercoated again. Now the 30-40 mins they had it in the back they did it. But made me wait 3 hours and could not give a legitimate reason as to why. It's an excuse for everything all the time. The front doesn't talk to the back (supposedly). And they really need to stop being so pushy, we all can't afford all they offer. Get your stuff together I have since spoken with corporate, who stated that the owner of the Henrietta location would contact me within 48 hours. Still yet to hear from anyone. I have a 2016 Silverado that was rust proofed and undercoated by this Ziebart shop. I found some surface rust and the beginning of more rust under the paint inside the fuel door. Paul and Craig looked at it and, although they felt it was not covered under their warranty, they offered to fix it by sanding out the paint and coating it with their scratch guard at no charge to me. I was skeptical, but I agreed to have them fix it. Grace did an awesome job on the repair... It far exceeded my expectations and looks great! Great service from Paul, Craig and Grace.... Terrible, terrible, customer service. I was told vehicle would be ready by 12:30 the day prior. I had a one o'clock and a two o'clock appointment. Didn't have a ride so I was going to wait. Dropped the vehicle off between 8 and 9 as instructed. When I approached my sales person asking him when my car would be ready he said it won't be done by the time I was told. After continuously trying to sell me there undercoating and ceramic Z Gloss earlier he told me he would get me an Uber and take $50 off of the over $2000 price tag for services listed above. Seriously? I approached again an hour later. When will my car be done? Soon. Another hour. They're finishing up the back window. At this point he offered me $25 off my bill. I was so fed up and aggravated with the customer service I paid my bill and left. Several other customers had came in and were given a time for pick up and they had to wait. Zero management engagement or presence. Shop managers name and contact number not posted. No coffee or water available. Shut off. No chargimg stations for phones. Mine went dead of course. Zero urgency. Spent close to eight hours of my day there. Time is money. Obviously the culture here isn't geared towards a great customer experience. I paid to have my Pontiac Grand AM rust proofed last year. Then during the winter time rust started forming near the bottom of my car. When I went and confronted them about it they kept trying to sell me something else. I PAID to have it RUSTPROOFED. That is not what I got. They should've fixed it for free. Under this new management they are greedy. You can't even walk in to make an appointment anymore. You have to call this number. Before you can just walk in and get it done quickly now you have to go through this whole process. This is done to to make it as inconvenient as possible in hopes that someone like me who is busy and often on call for work will miss the annual respray which voids any chance of a respray after a certain amount of time. You don't advertise a product as rustproofing then try to sell me something else when your product doesn't work as advertised. This company is headed in the wrong direction. I had a great experience getting a remote start installed at Ziebart! Eric was wonderful to work with. The starter was installed pretty quickly and they even have a shuttle service that can take you from Ziebart to home or work, and back. He explained that if the remote start stops working at any point during the life of the car, I can come back and they will fix it for free. I appreciate the great customer service! read more

I was not happy at all with the results. Completely emptied the car only to be told later that they don't clean any glove box, containers, pockets etc. The doors all had grease still on them as well as the hub caps, easily wiped off. Nothing was used on the car seat only vacuumed. The back wasn't vacuumed , leaves still visible had to be taken in the back and redone. The solution from management was - come back in in 6 months and we ll do it again, nothing in writing. Paid $300 for exterior and interior cleaning. Worth $50. read more

My Ziebart experience was a disaster. I arrived for a 9 a.m. appointment for basic car tinting. They had me sign a waiver disclaiming all liability for any legal consequences for the tint, even though I was relying on them to install a product that was compliant with state and local laws. While waiting for the installation, my sales rep. then offered to do Ziebart undercoating for $250. I asked him how much longer my wait would be, and he said "a bit" longer, so I agreed. After waiting OVER FIVE HOURS at the store, the tint and undercoating were finally done. I think they may have forgotten that I was waiting in the lobby. They offered a feeble apology for the delay and then the sales rep. tried to shake my hand like we're not in the middle of a pandemic. After driving off, I noticed that my car wreaked like burning/melting rubber. I called the shop, and they said it should go away in 4 or 5 days. Nearly a month later, my car still had a chemical smell from the under spray. I also need to make annual appointment to re-spray or the warranty voids (they don't send reminders). I don't know if I'll go back to have the foul odor applied again, and I regret ever agreeing to have it installed in the first place. read more

Every year I go back things just seem to get worst...2 yrs ago had to fight with them about touching up my bed liner....last yr had to fight about diamond gloss....this yr tops it all....either one of the workers stole my phone charger or they left my truck UNLOCKED all night in their back lot....I've YET to call and get my money back...BECAUSE the guy that took my info was SOOOOO condescending I really don't think I EVER want to go back!!!! read more

Multiple spots completely missed, inside the center console, glove box, interior door handles, floor behind the pedals, underside of door, just to name a few. Then the spots that they bothered to clean were left with unsightly streak marks, especially across the top of the dashboard. This is the email I sent to the corporate offices I still haven't heard back fr: Letter to Ziebart I wanted to make you aware of an incident at your Ziebart Henrietta on Saturday October 20th. We made a 10:00 appointment and arrived on time. Dave helped us check in. My annual undercoating appointment has typically taken 1/2 to and hour. We were there until approximately 1:45 pm. As I was sitting waiting a man came up to the water cooler and heard me complaining about the wait time to my husband. I was later told he was the manger, I believe his name is Tony Mattiacio (I've since found out this is the Rochester franchise owner). He is in the picture attached. He condescendingly said "What seems to be the problem?" I told him that we had a 10:00 appointment and we had been waiting 4 hours. He explained that it isn't an appointment it's basically first come first serve so not sure why we were told we had a 10:00 appointment. I said, we're done we are not coming back. The last two times we were there we were out with in a half hour to an hour. He basically said no way. I said we would not be returning turned around and started walking away. He then said well fine let your car rust. I turned around and said what the f*** did you just say to me? He then repeat in a flippant tone, let your car rust, I don't care. Dave came after me as we were leaving and tried to calm me down. He also was a disaster telling me he tried to tell me it would take a long time and that I fought him on it. I didn't. He didn't ever tell me that these are not appointments, rather they are line up times. All he had to do was to explain the procedure, he did not. Neither did the woman confirming the appointment when she left a voice mail. I then come to find out from Mike that they offer a shuttle to the Marketplace Mall if we wanted. That was never offered. Plus not as important but super unprofessional all the men in the shop kept referring to the females there as girls, pretty sure you do not employ children, these are Woman well into adulthood. Minor but again, super unprofessional. We don't plan on returning but would consider another location perhaps in a different franchise. If your customers are being treated with disgusting disrespect I figured you would like to know. Thank you. My answer to Steve's response is yes, that is the email I sent my complaint to and the guy Dave at Ziebart said he would call my on Monday. I had a remote start put in last year at ziebart. After installing it my car would die about once a month for no reason. I called them after having my battery and alternator tested. I was told the route start was not hooked to the battery and would not cause it to die. All summer long whole not using my remote start my car was fine. No issues starting. As soon as I started using it this winter. The dead battery issue started again First it was once a week and now it's every day. I had my battery alternator and starter tested. All are in good working conditions. I brought my car into ziebart in Henrietta last Thursday and told them I wanted my remote start removed. They tested a few things and said it was working fine and my battery was good. I told them please remove it. I was shown a fuse and told that it was the fuse from the remote starter and it was disconnected. The following day my car again would not start and I had to jump it. I called the Hyundai dealership and made an appointment to figure out the issue. They can't get me in until Tuesday. On Sunday I accidentally hit the unlock on my remote starter key fob instead of my regular key fob. It unlocked. This made me question if the remote start was really uninstalled. Soooooo I hit the remote start button and my car started. This is completely unacceptable. Even if It is not the remote starter causing the dead battery issue( I still believe it is) I asked and was told and shown a fuse saying they uninstalled it. I can't wait to find out what he removed a fuse from since it sure wasn't the remote starter. read more

Be AWARE! You must keep your original paper work. I arranged for my truck's annual check up and needed repair. I was DENIED because I did not keep my original warranty and neither local or corporate offices keep them. YOUR responsibility. PLUS they said if I did find it , I was 22 days past the 10 year warranty so no go. Rob Harper, the head guy at Ziebart corporate told me they have the same warranty as 10 years ago and have not updated it. Hard to believe in these times that Ziebart has not kept up with the technology or customer service in 10 years. They stick to their " you must have your original paper work policy" and can not bend because of legal reasons I am told. You must also take your original paper work each year at inspection and have it SIGNED ( according to warranty) to make it valid. Looks to me they try to use the legal status to make sure they dont pay out claims. Not saying they maybe have good products, but if you have a problem don't expect them to stand behind their product, rather they stand behind their paperwork. PS Repair was under $1000 read more

Terrible service. My car wasn't done when they said it would be. Took them another hour. I was told they were busy but I had an appointment. The back seat was just ad dirty as when I dropped it off. Couldn't figure out how to edit my last review so here begins the end result of my experience... I purchased a 2016 Nissan Versa Note SV in August of 2018 and the dealership offered a Ziebart undercoating and rust protection package with it. I got it because I wanted to keep my new-ish car to be as new-ish as long as possible. I get yearly resprays of both on the vehicle so this year, today actually, I took it back to get it done. While I was there I inquired about their window tinting prices and decided to get that done as well since it was a very reasonable price. Shane, the manager who took care of me while I was there, told me the car would be ready by 3pm and he was good on his word. It was done by 3pm. I'm very impressed with the service I got today and I would recommend them to anyone. The tint turned out beautifully by the way. I've been wanting to get it done for some time and I'm glad I did. The only thing I wish their company would do, and this is in no way a bad reflection on the brick and mortar business, is list their pricing on the website instead of having you request an estimate. Well it was time again for my yearly checkup and reapplication of my rust proof undercoating ( a great warranty service ) but after the first one last year ,I spent close to 2 hrs removing overspray from parts where it didn't belong!! This time I pointed out to rep to please make sure it would not happen again and he assured me ,it would not ! Well went to pick up my truck @5pm and while inspecting it again found overspray on lower parts of vehicle and on my chrome side bars and aluminum wheels.Rep came out and asked if I had some time and I said take all the time you need and clean it up good,and he said No problem !! GREAT ,WELL I sat there until 6:10 ( witch I didn't mind ) and then they brought my truck out,upon quick inspection ( they were closing) it looked fine.When I was going to clean it this morning found a lot more spots ,Now I'm not happy ,I don't live that close to be running back and forth so it looks like I will be spending my own time cleaning again!
