Thank you to Dominic and Mike, the lead technician, for personally walking me through the work and ensuring the final result met expectations.

A friend of ours had recommended Gerber, so we decided to give the place a try. At first glance they seemed friendly and efficient. We had an appointment, so even though they seemed busy, we didn't have to wait long to talk to someone. The gentleman who inspected our car was very thorough. Fortunately it was 100% covered by insurance, so we did not have to deal with the bill. We had to wait about 2 months to get it fixed because they were booked up, but it sounded like that was the norm everywhere. Fast forward 2 months - we dropped it off on Tuesday, and it was done by the end of the 3 day period they had originally figured it would take. Everything looked great, and they had even detailed the inside of the car, too! They kept us informed the whole time via email and phone so we knew that things were running on time. Pick up was quick and easy. I will upload photos so you can see the work that was done. We are definitely pleased with the service, and I would 100% recommend!

I am very disappointed with the service I received at Mini of Rochester (New York). I brought my…read more2003 Mini S JCW in to the shop because I was concerned that the engine might have overheated for a minute or so and I wanted them to check the radiator thermostat to see if it was working correctly. I also needed them to address a problem with the power door locks. They indicated that there was nothing wrong with the thermostat, but that the radiator fluid might have been compromised. Close to 2 months later, and over $4,500 poorer, I got my car back from the service station. They upsold me on a need to replace the oil pan gasket, which was the bulk of the charge. I didn't see any issue with oil leakage or loss to justify this, but went with their recommendations since they were the experts. They also damaged the oil pressure sensor during the repair and couldn't figure out how to fix it (we compromised on them installing an external oil pressure gauge, which I had to purchase). I now found out that they also damaged the wheel speed sensor (which per a repudiable outside shop showed signs of being removed and reinstalled with a pliers). This has resulted in the classic "Mini Trifecta", and has cost me an additional $400 to get repaired. I was afraid to bring my car back to the Mini Dealership for repair after the last mess they made. Now I know why my brother in law (who also drives a Mini) drives an additional 100 miles one way to get to Buffalo to have them work on his. As my Mini is starting to get old I was considering getting a new one. With this kind of local support I certainly can't justify that.

We have purchased and…read moreleased vehicles from a dozen or more dealerships over the years and MINI of Rochester is the only one we'd never return to. After several years with the our first Mini, we looked to acquire another Clubman, but the sales tactics used against us were overtly predatory, especially for someone that was already a customer. This included withholding information from us, like equity in our vehicle, until we signed an agreement and gave them a down payment for a new vehicle. They told us that they could inform us of the equity only when we came to pick up the vehicle in several weeks to several months. We asked several times for them to at least provide a range, and they refused. This pushed us to look elsewhere for a vehicle, and no other local dealers put us through that during the process. BMW of Rochester, Audi of Rochester, Ide Volkswagon, and others, were all wonderful to deal with and were very transparent about the entire process and the costs involved. We decided to not pursue another transaction with Mini of Rochester due to this experience. We did however turn the vehicle in to them, and when we did this, they agreed to cover the disposition cost, as a courtesy, as we were 15k miles under the lease agreement. It was our fault for not getting this in writing, as we've now received a bill from Mini Financial for the cost of the disposition, as the dealership never paid it. The dealership has now admitted that there was a miscommunication on their end and that they would no longer be covering the disposition costs. So we are left footing the bill due to their mix-up, which is inappropriate at best. Our experience with multiple salespersons, managers, and customer service representatives at Mini of Rochester have all exhibited a complete lack of care for their customers. If you're looking for a Mini in the WNY area, you'd do yourself a favor by heading to Mini of Buffalo instead.

So today I called Vogels around 10:26 to get an estimate done for insurance on my 2010 Chevy…read moreImpala. I was instantly turned down and said "no we can't do that". I was surprised because I have brought them previously a car and sent them a lot of work over the years. So let me tell you about the LONG HAUL on your vehicle if you bring it here to Vogels. I would know about long term on a vehicle from them because they did a Job for me in 2015 on my 97 Camaro. This place is decent place to bring your vehicle if you need something fix short term but long term not worth it to ME. To others they are worth it but they don't restore cars really just fix them. I brought these guys my 97 Camaro back in 2015. Let me tell you what it WASN'T worth the price they charged me 6500-7k and or it felt like I was getting harassed by the owner about paying them. Normally you pay for a job when it's finished but he was eager to collect some before starting it and during before he finished the Camaro. I had to pay before they finished which felt like I was being scammed but I was in a tight pinch and had to get it done. After finally paying them in full they finished it up and said we will detail it up nice for you but the rushed they detail guy and I had wax all over the Camaro. Even the detail guy complained about being rushed. I even mentioned the green paint I could still see but they didn't fix it or nothing. I was super bummed about this but I was still happy to get my 97 Camaro back on the road and drive it. Mind you this 97 Camaro sat after it got "restored"from Vogels. Nothing wrong with it but all the imperfections they left, all the chipped and cracked paint I found and the green paint from the donor parts they used to fix it that you could still see in areas. The Camaro wasn't very professional done at all and the service I got from them especially from the owner himself was good and all till the demanded payment. Then it felt like a scam and it felt like I was being harassed. Now 10 years later I have to repay someone to fix all those paint chips, all the cracked panels and a lot more. So in my opinion it's not worth it because 10 years later and 6500 bucks wasted to repay another person. About the same or more to make it look brand new even better then show room quality they said just like Vogel's promised me but Vogels couldn't handle it. Edit : So after I posted this because I got a phone call at 11:17 from there Shop manager or whatever he is there. His name was Eric. He called me asked me why I would leave a negative review because they refused to take a quote from me earlier today? Then proceeded to say I called them because I had an insurance quote done and I wanted them to add more on? WTF? How is that possible when my accident just happen at 9:33 am. So how did I have time to get a quote and call you to ask you to change that quote? So now I'm more annoyed because they tried to call me out on something I didn't even say. All I said was "can I get an estimate done today for an insurance quote". He then proceeded to tell me IDK why you're posting your Camaro now. It's been 10 years and we didn't harass you. He said "we have to get some up front or all especially when it's not an insurance quote because we gotta pay outta packet for materials"? Really? You have to pay for materials? Wow that's crazy. What about regular mechanics or other shops? They don't ask up front for any money. However I was fine putting a down payment down back then. It was the owner calling me demanding money from me time and time again multiple times and said he couldn't fix it till I did. That sounds like harassment to me. Their excuse was "well sometimes people have us fix it but then not come back at all after we finish". I said "not my fault don't judge a book by its cover. You guys are judging people and will only work on cars with insurance claims unless they are GUARANTEED the money before they finish the vehicle". 1

You can't get around to the other side of the building so be sure to pull in on the left side of the location. We entered the building and waited at the desk. And waited, and waited and waited. No one came out. I finally asked one of the guys detailing a car if we were in the right place and he said yes, someone would be right out to help us. No one ever came so eventually, he stopped what he was doing and came to the desk. Long story short, it took an eternity but we got the truck and car dolly. Budget was about $600 cheaper than Uhaul and almost $1000 cheaper than Penske. Worth the headache I guess. This business is an all-in-one: car wash/truck rental/knock off purse boutique inside.

I read on the website that a carpet shampoo (shampoo seats, floors and mats) was $29.99+tax, and included a free deluxe car wash. There was also an option for Shampoo seats only a la carte for $9.99. Drove into the car wash and the lady told me that to get the carpet shampoo, I had to also get the quick clean for $6.99. Fine, ended up paying that. But then the lady told me that the deluxe car wash was not included. At this point, I thought maybe I read it wrong and paid for it anyway. While waiting for my car wash I went back on the website on my phone and read it again and indeed it said free deluxe car wash. I showed the same lady that took my money and she said the website was wrong. I told her I wanted to see the manager and she said she was the manager and wouldn't give me a refund for the car wash. I called my friend and told her about this experience and specifically used the words "scam" and "ripoff", which seemed to scare the "manager". She ended up giving me the refund after I got off the phone. The service was pretty quick and no frills. I had to have them redo a few spots that they missed on the seats. Other than that, had the whole pricing thing not happened, I would've come back because the service was decent and price was alright.
