We ended up not seeing the dentist we were told we would (by both the front desk and hygienist at the visit), there was alot of confusion and not a full comprehensive exam by the dentist, the owner who I think was asked to just step in to help. My child left in tears and was given an adult toothbrush and adult toothpaste and no prize, which for a child at a dentist office is the highlight.

Our visit was to the orthodontist. Be wary of committing your child's orthodontics work to an…read moreextremely profit-oriented practice. The office did an initial quick 3D computer imaging and gave a quick estimate of the treatment: $5000 to $6700, a wide range. The doctor/office then assured us that the actual cost was going to be closer to $5000 due to the short treatment in our case. However, in order to get an "accurate" estimate, we must allow a technician to take "records", which means an expensive x-ray. This x-ray fee would be written off if we decide to go ahead with the treatment. Because the doctor/office had already assured us that the cost most likely would be $5000, we went ahead with the full-mouth x-ray. After a few days, the office manager emailed back the treatment plan. It turned out to be $6500. She also claimed that the cost was never based on the length of the service as promised. Obviously, we would lose the x-ray fee if we do not proceed with their treatment. This practice was trying to make profit by taking many "records" that do not require much of doctor's time. They bait potential patients with a false initial estimate in order to switch to an "accurate" estimate that costs a lot. If you decide to have treatment with them due to proximity, just know that it will be at the high-end of the initial estimate. Their words are not consistent and do not take responsibility in conveying them. Again, be wary of committing your child's orthodontics work to an extremely profit-oriented practice.

However, in my last visit,…read morethey asked if it was okay if they applied fluoride on my teeth WITHOUT disclosing that it would be an extra charge. It took 5 seconds for them to brush on. And when I went to checkout, they told me the fluoride application would be $45 since it wasn't covered by insurance. Additionally the fluoride was very grainy and sticky, and had an awful taste. They also ended up brushing some of it on my mouth/lips and it felt like a mess and very sloppy. Very disappointed at the "hidden costs" since it felt like a sneaky way for them to earn extra money. They provide you "additional services" which I didn't really need since my teeth have had no issues in years, and then you're forced to pay. I will not be trusting them for any future dental care. If they're the type of clinic that tries to find sneaky ways to earn extra money, who knows what future "concerns" or "problems" they'll find with your teeth that you may not really need. I also emailed them about my discomfort in having to pay for services that I didn't need and that they were not upfront with about the additional cost, but they didn't bother to reply.
