I live in NYC but am frequently traveling to the north shore of Massachusetts. I came in to State Automotive because my rear suspension was making some squeaks and I wanted to repair it if possible. During the inspection, which was incredibly thorough and documented VERY well, they found a control arm issue which was critical for safety. The squeak issue is actually not a safety issue and I would need to find the part from a third party as it isn't made anymore and getting it pulled at a scrap yard is not a good idea. Andrew couldn't find the part anywhere and I learned this is a common issue on these older Audi cars. The repair to the control arm was done quickly and at a very good price - especially considering the extra consideration Andrew gave to the issue. He gave me a lot of helpful information on how to address additional issues (or not) and was honest about the Car's prognosis. Lastly- worth mentioning that Andrew and his team provide fantastic documentation: a breakdown of all the car issues, photos of the key problems, and a print out for the missing parts needed to repair. If I keep the car and it need more service while I'm in MA, Andrew and his team will be my first stop. Highly recommended.

Dear God, How about if it makes it to 2037.... ?? This is my second treatment with NH Oil Undercoating. I went to the Chichester, NH (Original Location) for my first treatment and loved the results. I did not want to travel that far and Chichester was booked until December. (It is much better to apply the material before it gets too cold.). Called Sam and he gave me an appointment within a couple of days. I experienced the same great service the offer in the mother store. Sam puts the vehicle up on the lift and gives you the tour and explains what he will be doing. You see the oil creeps into cracks and crevices and seals rust spots. I saw that the first treatment was as effective as promised and watched the company videos. I hate rust... My last GMC was retired after 20 years with a rusted frame.... Cost? After the car was "cleaned" it smelled like smoke even though no one has ever smoked in it. (Because the rag was just used on a smokers car) The windshield was smeared with the same dirty stinky rag so you can't even see through it. Did I mention the charge was $175? I contacted Kevin and at first he was defensive telling me it's just a cleaning not a detail... for $175. I sent him the photos and he said that the car was probably just really dirty to start (it's a 2018) that $175 was for 2 hours worth of cleaning and they did their best to get the dirt off and couldn't. We had 2 cars done. They showed up at 1:15 and left at 3:30. 2 cars 2 hours each... you do the math. So I went out with a rag and my all natural plant based mild cleaner and spent 30 seconds wiping and the dirt came right off, I sent him a before and after photo of my cleaning and he said ohhhhhh ok he didn't do a good job and now that I look at their time clocks they didn't spend the time should have, touch ups are free so I will send them back Tuesday, Tuesday came and they couldn't make it because of a broken windshield wiper or whatever. So they were going to come Thursday. Never showed up never called. I have asked for a refund and he said "I don't do refunds" And basically told me to go kick rocks. I DO NOT recommend them.

I Have a few small dents and scratched - nothing big. The employee requested pictures of both interior and exterior of the vehicle. Which we sent right away. After a few weeks!! of reaching out with no response... FINALLY we got a response back and we were told "At this time we are only doing interior details". Don't advertise something that you will turn down because you don't want to do it.
