There has never been a fault in my camera setup in these three years. The reason I write again is that we replaced our laptop computers this year, and needed service to help set the software up. The company runs lean, and they do not have a normal "help desk" when you call, so you don't always get an answer or help immediately, but I still give them five stars because they care about your experience with this and they make up for it once you get their highly competent technician on your case. Joe set up the software on two computers in only a couple of minutes and it feels like these cameras are sturdy and will continue running through at least a few generations of computers. If I ever want more coverage or upgrades, I would stay with this service.

Unfortunately, in my experience, they are considerably less effective at the thing that actually matters--properly handling an alarm activation. I have been a Post Alarm customer for many years, and I have repeatedly provided clear instructions about what should happen when an alarm is triggered. Yet when an actual activation occurs, those instructions do not seem to be followed in any consistent or logical way. They are also remarkably persistent about calling repeatedly in the middle of the night--even when they have specifically been instructed not to do so--sometimes apparently for no reason other than to "clear" something from their system. Getting call after call after call in the middle of the night without an actual emergency is not security; it is enormously disruptive. What has been most frustrating is the lack of accountability when these problems occur. There seems to be plenty of infrastructure devoted to billing, rate increases, and selling new services, but far less attention paid to making sure the monitoring service itself operates according to the customer's instructions. After many years as a customer, I find this extremely disappointing. A security company should inspire confidence when an alarm goes off. Instead, my experiences with actual alarm activations have too often been confusing, frustrating, and inconsistent with the instructions I have clearly provided.

Frank came down and said the installation and equipment is free I only had to pay a police Fee of $99 for one time he also said its month to month so I could cancel anytime. The contract only had my address and signature and that was all. He quoted me a price of $25 for my home (Not on the contract). They came the next day and everything seemed fine. I am now getting billed $45 and when called to cancel I am in a 2 year contract? One day there was a false alarm and the police were called (due to equipment not being installed properly) and the police sent me a fine for not being registered with them. So what was the $99 police fee charged? and why was I not told? They are going back on their word every time I call. They have my checking account information and are withdrawing an amount that was not authorized. I am currently suing the company along with other affected that we are reaching out to. Stay away!
