She checked with her schedule and we got an electrician out the next day! Wow! Unheard of!! Anyways long story short, the banister was disconnected and bypassed and we put in two new fluorescent tubes that have life expectancy of 4-5 years! Its fixed and the lights look great! All up $179! I had alot of smoke detectors to replace given that they were all nine years old. He talked me into the smoke detectors that don't require batteries. He checked my Breakers and we discussed the benefits of surge All smoke detectors were replaced and we even discussed GFI outlets. Ampere was very accommodating.
