We made an appointment for Zerorez to clean our carpets after being referred to them by a family member. The tech who came out "Juan" was very abrupt and confrontational when I showed up to go over the estimate with him. He was leaning against our freshly painted wall and rolling his eyes as he continually added on extra charges. Before we knew it the $129 special was now at $254. when I declined services and directed him to the door he accused me of touching him and threatened to call the police for harassing him? as he walked towards the door he yelled the F word several times at us and then finally left. We were all in disbelief of the situation. Please beware of any company that employs individuals like this. I was hoping to have a great experience but was greatly disappointed. Buyer beware! For what it's worth Trevor the Branch Manager did call me to apologize and was adamant that his company would not tolerate this type of behavior from their employees. The first and worst aspect of working with this company is the female"customer service representative" who used a poor quality headset or cell phone where I could barely understand her when I called to make an appt. Apparently there was no one else who could take the call and no other phone she could use. If you want your carpets permanently damaged then use this company. I've attached photos, one is of the light stain I had before cleaning on my only 3 year old carpet, the second photo where the stain is much darker is after Zerorez "cleaned" my carpet. They were so aggressive and used heat and agitation to the point that they seared in the stain, made it darker and shredded the carpet fibers in the process. Now I have to replace my carpet. They have many reviews online because they are great at marketing and initially offer a competitive price, but pay attention to the low rated reviews. I have never posted anything like this, but I want to share my recent experience with ZeroRez carpet cleaning company, so others can avoid the same experience. After cleaning my newer carpet, their solution left a large stain (about 4 ft. x 5 ft.) I can't remove. They used way too much solution - the technician told me he used 7 gallons of solution on this little little area, which seems ridiculous. There was a little bit of pet smell, two little dogs that sometimes "miss" their potty pads. ZeroRez is refusing to fix the issue, citing their 30-day guarantee, even though it's only been about two months and it's obvious it was caused by them. I had Zerorez clean my air ducts. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Two technicians were assigned. They didn't use booties or drop cloths so debris was scattered everywhere which they didn't vacuum up. They left fingerprints on our ceiling and chipped the ceiling paint. I called the Milpitas location and got a message from Larry that they would give me a refund of $30. I was hoping for an apology but really didn't receive one. I don't know if the technicians didn't follow protocol or really haven't been trained properly. Because they did such a poor job of cleaning up after themselves, I question how well they cleaned the air ducts. I do not recommend. read more

WOW! Zerorez Carpet cleaning did a great job on my White carpets! I've had several companies come to clean my carpets, but they left my home with a chemical smell. I don't want to leave a bad review but I am not happy with the customer service I received. On the positive side - their cleaning product is very good & my carpets were cleaned really well. Their scheduling was easy & they followed up with many texts prior to my appointment. Ryan & Alex were great - they did come outside of my scheduled window - but Ryan did contact me at the end of my scheduled window to tell me they were on their way. The negative side - I was overcharged - I say this knowing what I paid with my former carpet guy (sad that he retired, was my guy for almost 16 yr) & I know what my neighbors were charged with using Zeroex. I called many times to discuss my charges & also left 4 (it could have been more) emails with my concerns - as I wanted to discuss options to see if they would do a partial refund or a discount for my next treatment. But no one responded. This is why I cannot give them a positive review . Customer service is key in a business such as carpet cleaning & the fact that they were on it prior to my scheduling & then bang - didn't respond once to my reaching out - that shows me they didn't care - they got their payment from me so they were done. We needed to get our sofa's cleaned and some of our carpet cleaned. I have used Zerorez before and they have always done a great job. Today Ryan came out and he did a excellent job of explaining what he would be doing and had a nice quality about him. He really enjoyed doing what he was doing and did a great job and was done alot sooner thanI thought which was great. The Sofa's look great and the carpet also looks great. I have a mixed review. I received a casual call a couple hours before my cleaning window telling me that they were cancelling my cleaning due to an ill tech. I explained that this was the only day that would work as tenants were moving in the next and I had promised them clean carpets. At first Zerores was pretty casual about the whole thing and said there was nothing they could do. Eventually, I am very grateful that they pulled in a tech from somewhere else and followed through on their obligation. Andy who showed up to clean was fantastic. I scheduled an appointment 3 weeks ago. I received an email yesterday confirming that I was receiving service today 8-10, and instructions on how to prepare for the service this morning. I trusted zero Rez because of the reviews. I had never used them before. This morning I got up at 5am and worked really hard to move all furniture and vacuum extensively I had been waiting 2 hours. I called up and asked when they are coming as they were late. The woman on the phone was rude and she told me that they did not put me in the schedule. I did not get an apology until I asked for one and when I did, she talked talking over me and raised her voice. After I told her she was raising her voice and talking over me as I told her how much this inconvenienced me and she was still not giving me an apology. She finally apologized and did not offer me any discount for future service. She said they could try to get me in the schedule today but I would have to wait at home as they could not give me any exact time. Zero Rez was unprofessional, unfair and I trusted them but their online system is not reliable and their customer service is unacceptable. I am disgusted with what I just went through over the phone after it was their mistake. read more

LOVE HOW CLEAN AND WHITE MY CARPET IS NOW!!!!! DRIED WITHIN 24 HOURS. The technician (Ryan) was very nice and told me a lot about how the carpet gets cleaned with their special machine. VERY EXPENSIVE! Carpets look good but they weren't very dirty. Even the Tech said so. We like the steaming vacuum method. Got the few spots out. Over $400 including protectant which we won't do again since it only lasts 6 months. He cleaned the carpets for 40 minutes. Adding set up and take down maybe he worked for one hour all together. He makes more than a piano teacher or a babysitter or a server without having a college degree. Would've been about $340/350 before the regular cleaning without protectant. Tech was very nice and listened to what we wanted. Do the math; that's $10/minute! Service good. Cost almost prohibitive. read more

A cleaner showed up on time, reviewed the carpet and tried the standard bait and switch tactic that the carpets needed deep cleaning ($399) which usually means they turn the suction up. When I said I'll take just the shampoo cleaning ($109) he said he would go outside and call the office. HE NEVER CAME BACK!! ZeroReZ did a good job on my carpet. The tech was very nice. He was very quick. They do not vacuum beforehand like other Carpet cleaning companies. And they don't set the legs of your furniture on any foam protectors. I have very small rooms and beds and couches take up most of the room but I still have to pay for a full room? They should measure the area they clean and charge only the area they actually clean. They don't give you an estimate over the phone when you call, so you have no idea what you are paying? They are a bit expensive so you have to wait till they have specials. They only do a once over and they do not focus on stains or high traffic areas. You have to pay more for that. Make sure they don't leave lines. Dark and white lines where they clean. A lot of the techs are very new. I don't know how much training they get? Don't let them leave till you look at all the rooms for dark and white lines. They don't explain much after they are done and they don't really clean up the water mess much. Make sure to ask for shoe protectors or you will be slipping on the wet carpets. Ask questions cuz they don't give much information... read more

I debated for years about having our stone floors in our kitchen, laundry room and bathroom cleaned. They are travertine with lots of natural pits in them. Over the years the water settled in the pits and grout. Taylor offer to clean them for me after doing the carpets. He gave me the price then showed me a sample of how it would look. I was shocked! I could instantly see the color of the stone and grout again. I was blown away! They also sealed the stone and grout. Thanks Taylor for convincing me to do it. I needed a carpet cleaning for my house for sale. I left my daughter to meet the cleaner. They said basic furniture moving.. I moved everything but couches... came in and cleaned around them... cost me $239... didn't move a thing... not the dining room table..al chairs had been moved... not the couch away from the wall.. left futon in same place.. a complete waste of money. Very disappointed by the inconsistent results from this Zerorez. I used them for the first time in May 2018 and had wonderful results. The guy who came worked hard and did a fabulous job on my old, rental carpet. I used them again in December 2018 and two young guys came, and while they were very nice, the results left MUCH to be desired. My high-traffic areas still had a dirty haze over them (which came completely clean the first time) and the overall job was just not good. In addition to the poor job, I was overcharged. They charged me for 24 linear feet for two hallways each and I measured after they left; my hallways were only 19 linear feet. I contacted Zerorez on December 14th on facebook and they said they would have the local franchise reach out, but I still haven't heard anything. I will not be using this franchise again and recommend going with a local person you can create a relationship with. read more

So I went with ZeroRez because I have a baby that's crawling and it's advertised as non residue green non toxic etc. Now the little guy has a rash on his face just on the side contacting the carpet he fell asleep on. My baby has fallen asleep on the carpet before, this is the first time he's had a breakout like this, he's not prone to rashes. I was hesitant to post, I waited a few days to see if maybe it spread and was something else (like roseola or one of the other random spotty things babies get) but he took a carpet nap again and even more spots turned up only on the areas contacting the carpet. My carpets are clean, the service people were awesome and it dried in a reasonable amount of time. If I didn't have a spotty baby I'd be pretty happy with the service. If they didn't make a big deal about "detergents and toxic chemicals" regular carpet cleaners have and "empowered water" does not I wouldn't be motivated to post this update. If you have a kid that has more sensitivities you might want to stick with a steam only cleaner. read more

Advertisements say three rooms for $ 119. They don't say that it has to be very small rooms and that there is added cost of water treatment. Don't feel right with a company that is not upfront. Hear the advertisements everyday on the radio and no it does not mention size of room and that you pay extra for water treatment. Just says the cost of three rooms. Just says three rooms (and doesn't say anything about how small it has to be) or that there is more needed with that. I realize that some people can have big homes with big rooms, but still some people may believe that any three rooms cost $ 119. The ad doesn't say any different. read more

Do not use them for duct cleaning. Their equipment only goes into the duct for about 10 to 15 feet, so the entire duct does not get cleaned. Also, the worker that came to us was not equipped for higher duct vents, and even asked my kids to help him turn off and on the equipment. Last, I had a disturbing doctor called and a bit visibly upset, so the worker decides to just leave and to only "call the office" -- really, he just left the mess. Thankfully, the office was sympathetic and knocked off a part of the bill as I had to do the final cleanup and to replace all vent covers. I question the skills and training of their staff to deal with customers. read more
