Gas is competitively priced because there are gas stations on both sides of the interstate, and it is major brand gas, Exxon. Lo and Behold, when walking through the front door, if you make a right turn, and go to the drink refrigerator all the way to the back...and view the drinks...there is love in the cooler. At first you will not see it. Those international brands have a way of making sure they get top billing and shelving. Look at the bottom of the refrigeration unit...magic happens...they sale Big Shot cold drink (Soda, cola, soft drink, insert your term here.)! Why is that important you may ask? Well, being a NOLA native, and considering that is a drink that is made in New Orleans, sometimes you just need a taste of home to get you by in the new land!
