Missed my flight, got five hours of sleep, and drove the kids to Newport for their horseback ride. I was a little nervous reading a review where an adult was led on his ride, however, this was not my experience. We had two adults and two small children in our party. One of my children was led by the pony for half the ride and then all of us were able to ride at our own pace with the most beautiful view of the water and beachside. Stacy was great with my kids and the horses. I was never worried about safety and the ride was calming. I felt centered for the first time in weeks after the ride. It was beautiful. She spent a lot of time with us. I am grateful for a wonderful 3rd birthday, thank you! We were just a little cramped in the beginning with another birthday party there. My children learned to paint hooves though, and that was an excellent activity to space out the two separate parties.

The entire area has plenty of shade and seating. Keep in mind that you'll mostly be walking in dirt so dress yourself and children appropriately!

This is a great riding center. Trainer Laura is amazing and she is so great with the students. She is patient and really teaches. All the school horses are are great and very well taken care of.. They teach/train all levels, from beginners to advanced. My daughter's riding has improved so much since starting here and she loves it. The pricing is very reasonable and I think you get so much more vs other riding schools/centers we've been too. All the staff is attentive and courteous. The barn area is always clean and organized. He was so friendly, accommodating, and very knowledgeable... and he let us pick the music (extra points)! We were a group of 9 and did the South OC pickup from San Juan Capistrano. The shuttle van fits a total of 14, so we were joined by another couple and pair of sisters, who thankfully, were really cool people, so it wasn't awkward at all. The shuttle van was very comfortable and Joseph provided waters and snacks, but you can also bring your own if you like. We visited 4 wineries in total, tastings and winery tours were included in the ticket price, and most wineries offer a 10-25% discount on bottle purchases through Best Coast Tours as well. You can even order your lunch in advance, not included in the ticket price, to be delivered during your lunch stop on the tour. We chose that option and enjoyed our lunch seated at a table on the grass listening to live music. Everything was so convenient and we really got lucky with the beautiful weather. Overall it was a great experience, I would definitely recommend Best Coast Tours to anyone from SoCal looking to spend a day out in Temecula without any of the stress of planning and coordinating.
