We couldn't be happier with our experience at Z Equestrian in Costa Mesa! My 6-year-old daughter takes English riding lessons with Miss Emily, who is incredibly patient, thoughtful, and truly amazing with young riders. Both Miss Lexi and Miss Emily are wealths of knowledge and handle their students with such care. They don't just teach you how to sit on a horse; they focus on building strong foundations and fostering a genuine love for the animals. The communication is seamless, and the pricing is very fair. In a hobby that can get expensive quickly, we find this so much more fulfilling (and affordable!) than a Magic Key to Disneyland. My daughter is already dreaming of riding every single horse in the stable!

How absolutely blessed I was to find Zequestrian! Everything, absolutely everything, is perfect. Zara, my instructor, is patient and reassuring. I'm 100% comfortable in everything we do. She's intuitive and positive, gently correcting my mistakes in a way that makes me feel good about trying and really complimenting my successes. So much encouragement! She's knowledgeable and astute, I learn so much in the hour I'm there. I'm exactly where I want to be and feel inspired to keep going. The stable is always clean and organized. It's a joy to walk on the property. If you're looking to take lessons or have a child you want to get started, look no further...go to Zequestrian. Sara made it very easy to get started and has made me feel so, so welcome. Love, love, love this place- everything about it.

The barn has always been an amazing place to just be one with a horse and coming here has been very special for me. I'm surrounded by all of Jenna's lovely lesson horses and by a supportive group of fellow equestrians, including our newest trainer Aja (who is wonderful)! It has been an incredible experience here, especially during this pandemic and I highly recommend checking Reveal Equestrian out if you're looking to start riding for the first time or get back into it. I certainly look forward to many more years of growing as a rider alongside Team Reveal! Thanks Jenna and Aja for being such talented trainers.

I have had a couple of horses (all very different in type and experience) in training over the last 4 years with Reveal Equestrian and the training and care have been customized to give each of the horses exactly what they needed. I love that the riding lessons concentrate on the fundamentals of riding, an appropriate focus is put on flatwork, jumping is never rushed and riders are brought along correctly according to their skill set. The horses' well-being and riders' safety is always a top priority! I can't recommend Reveal Equestrian enough!

Its nickname is "Jewel of the Missions" and is one of 21 Spanish missions in California. We purchased tickets ($18/adult) on-site although you can book them online to perhaps get a discount. We got an audio device where we could take an audio tour through the grounds and learn more about each individual aspect of the mission. We even saw the remnants of the stone church that was once the largest structure in California but was destroyed in the 1812 earthquake. While the inhabitants' primary goal was to promote Catholicism, the mission also served as an agricultural and economic center. The founding priests of the mission were told they had to be self-sufficient; when we visited the area there was a garden to grow food and a kitchen area. This mission was even the first one in California to make their own wine. Overall it took us an hour to walk around and explore. We didn't read or listen to everything in-depth but you can easily spend 2-3 hours here. We went early in the morning and there was no one around so it was peaceful exploring the grounds.

Dana is not my immediate trainer Katie is but Katie is incredible for a beginners. she can really dumb down the skills you need and explain it in a way that you understand. she will take every part of riding and simplify it enough where you can make it happen. these horses are truly work horses, they will listen to your communication and help you better your skills so you can continue to advance. and most importantly this is a safe place for riders of all ages. i have seen ever age ever level and ever type of rider. men, women, children and they are all different levels in life but we all get great training. if you are an adult beginner if you can ride at least a handful of times a week a suggest that. i am a beginner but i ride anywhere between 3-4 times a week which is why i have seen huge improvements but if you don't care how quickly you advance do the amount you feel comfortable with. that jus my two cents based of how my experience, the more you ride th better chances of you getting the hang of it!
