By age eight, my daughter was leasing a pony and beginning to compete in the Hunters. Over the next several years, horses and showing became an important part of our lives. When Kristin established Peppertree Equestrian in 2013, we brought our horses to her and were fortunate to become some of her first clients. Since then, being part of Peppertree has been an incredible journey for both my daughter and me. Under Kristin's guidance and coaching, my daughter truly thrived. She competed in Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation from the age of eight through twenty-one. Kristin helped her develop not only as a rider and competitor, but also as a thoughtful and capable horsewoman. As an adult amateur, I have equally appreciated Kristin's ability to support each rider's individual goals. She has allowed me to grow at my own pace while giving me the confidence and skills to compete in Adult Amateur Hunters and low-level Jumpers. She challenges her riders while always emphasizing safety, good horsemanship, and the well-being of the horse. What makes Kristin especially remarkable is how deeply she cares about both her horses and her clients. Her clients' goals become her goals, and she genuinely wants each rider to become better, safer, and more confident. The health, soundness, happiness, and appropriate care of the horses are always a priority. Kristin also has an exceptional ability to match riders with the right horses. She understands that finding a horse is about much more than talent or appearance. She works to help clients find horses that are safe, suitable for the rider, competitive for their goals, and, most importantly, sound and healthy. Peppertree Equestrian is also much more than a place to ride and show. Kristin has created a wonderful community. We enjoy our lessons, caring for our horses, cheering one another on at horse shows, and spending time together outside the barn. Over the years, I have made many lifelong friendships, and I owe so much of that to Kristin and the welcoming program she has created. I have had a couple of horses (all very different in type and experience) in training over the last 4 years with Reveal Equestrian and the training and care have been customized to give each of the horses exactly what they needed. I love that the riding lessons concentrate on the fundamentals of riding, an appropriate focus is put on flatwork, jumping is never rushed and riders are brought along correctly according to their skill set. I was hoping for a Better experience since Tania was a vendor with our charter school, but it was an absolute worst experience ever!!! We bought 5 lessons but ended up only using 3 and getting a refund for the last 2 lessons since it was such an awful experience. I have since reported her to our charter for her negligence, and rude demeanor. She has such a bad, sour attitude and does not show any interest in teaching my daughter. In fact, when you arrive, she won't even say Hello! You are left standing there waiting for her to finish attending her other horses. At one point my daughter was cleaning the hoofs of one of Tania white horses and the horse stepped on my daughters foot. She couldn't get the horse foot off and Tania said, "that would teach you not to stand so close" Also, on my daughters 3rd lesson my daughter was having trouble remembering everything so my daughter said to Tania it was hard for her to remember and Tania Replied, "Suck it up, Life Sucks sometimes" The way Tania approaches you is very unpleasant, rude, bad attitude, and definitely isn't in the field to teach beginners. We have since found a different trainer that is much more compassionate and actually enjoys teaching my daughter. Tania is definitely not in the field to teach beginners. Warning to anyone who uses Tania or this company!! Definitely not a pleasant experience and would NOT recommend!!

In a few months Tania has taught her grooming and riding skills, beyond our expectations. My daughter takes lessons there and we have seen huge growth in confidence, fitness, compassion, everything you want out of a child's athletic activity. I was a bit grouchy upon arriving to the Saddle Club. I had just pulled a quick 48-hour whirlwind…read moretrip to Seattle, interviewing for multiple positions. Missed my flight, got five hours of sleep, and drove the kids to Newport for their horseback ride. I was a little nervous reading a review where an adult was led on his ride, however, this was not my experience. We had two adults and two small children in our party. One of my children was led by the pony for half the ride and then all of us were able to ride at our own pace with the most beautiful view of the water and beachside. Stacy was great with my kids and the horses. I was never worried about safety and the ride was calming. I felt centered for the first time in weeks after the ride. It was beautiful. She spent a lot of time with us. I am grateful for a wonderful 3rd birthday, thank you! We were just a little cramped in the beginning with another birthday party there. My children learned to paint hooves though, and that was an excellent activity to space out the two separate parties.

They have a wide array of saddles (western and English) for little kids along with horses who are well trained with little kids. Clyde and Sonny are amazing horses and Ace is a wonderful Pony for first time riders. Love the 30 min loop around Back Bay!
