We spent a total of $45 dollars since I have one preschooler and one toddler (kids under 3 are free!). We got one tray of food to feed the animals, and my older daughter got to do a pony ride too. First we went to the guinea pig area, where you get to sit down and have the attendant place a guinea pig in a little pen on the bench with you. You can feed it and pet it, and if there's no line then you can stay as long as you like! The guinea pigs are so tame and tolerant. It was the perfect thing for my young toddler to experience, since she is the opposite of gentle (we're working on it, ha!). My preschooler loved feeding the guinea pig too. Then we saw the pigs and emu. The pigs were so cute and little! Next to their pen was the goats. The goats were HUNGRY! Even when we ran out of food they kept trying to reach for things. But they were pretty gentle too. There is plenty of space for kids to spread out and pet or feed the goats. Lastly, they have some llamas and alpacas next to the goats. They didn't seem as interested in the food but they didn't mind a few gentle pats on the head. There's lots of shade available, which was a must when you come around noon in July. The whole guinea pig area is fully covered, and about half of the remaining animal areas are in shade too, so we were warm but not overheating. The pony ride was great. Kids 3 and up are allowed to ride. The saddles are equipped with full enclosed harnesses so the littlest kids will remain securely fastened. The pony trainer leads your kid around the path, but parents have to stay back at the entrance. I wish parents could go in with the kids, especially if it's their first time and they're feeling a little nervous- so that's my only suggestion for improvement. After all the animal activities, we went to the other side where there is a playground and other activities, like a train, some diggers and panning for gold. We just played on the playground and didn't pay for any additional activities. There are some benches and picnic tables, some with shade, near the playground so it was perfect for a snack break. All in all, we spent almost 2 hours here and it was the perfect mid-morning activity for my animal-loving kids!

There were goats, an emu, and other animals to feed. There are also pony rides that cost more money. The kids enjoyed it. The staff were also really friendly. There is also an area to do some panning and sit on a digger. They charge for both of those. And the panning has different tiers if you want to splurge and get better rocks. One of the diggers was out of order, and the digger my son went on wasn't working properly. The guy at that station was on his phone the whole time and wasn't available to help, so that was a wasted run. Very much a cash grab. Honestly, the boutique shops and eateries around the ranch and the small park were more worth it.

People still laid out and kids brought sand toys to play on sand. I think I went on a bad week. We'll have to try another time. It's such a beautiful beach with clear blue water! Till next time.

I gave my daughter riding lessons this past year for Christmas. At first we were just going to try this new sport out to see how she liked it. We have tried out just about every other sport and nothing seemed to really settle with her. Now, nearly 6 months later, she is asking for her own horse. She wants to ride as much as she can. I believe that because of the staff and the safe, fun environment that Gladstone offers her, she has found her passion. I couldn't be happier with the program. I started horseback riding again this last year after being gone from the sport for about five years. I consider my self very lucky to have found Joanne, I couldn't be happier with my choice. Kristin has dedicated time to training me as a rider and improving my seat in the saddle, moving up from only flatting to actually jumping and competing , and has taught me ways to train my own horse when hacking. Kristin's program opens doors to competing in various shows, taking part in clinics with various grand prix trainers, and even provides opportunities to fun group outings, trail rides and other equestrian events. Kristin has also helped me when it came time to look for a new horse and matched me with the ideal horse that best fit my riding goals and abilities and most importantly is helping to improve those abilities. A very important part of this training program is that my horses health and wellbeing are looked after and prioritized. I travel frequently for work and for pleasure, sometimes for long periods of time and I know my horse will be trained, fed, and looked after while I am away. Kristin makes sure that any health concerns are always addressed. She clearly communicates what your horse may require as it pertains to their health, training and wellbeing. I have since reported her to our charter for her negligence, and rude demeanor. She has such a bad, sour attitude and does not show any interest in teaching my daughter. In fact, when you arrive, she won't even say Hello! You are left standing there waiting for her to finish attending her other horses. At one point my daughter was cleaning the hoofs of one of Tania white horses and the horse stepped on my daughters foot. She couldn't get the horse foot off and Tania said, "that would teach you not to stand so close" Also, on my daughters 3rd lesson my daughter was having trouble remembering everything so my daughter said to Tania it was hard for her to remember and Tania Replied, "Suck it up, Life Sucks sometimes" The way Tania approaches you is very unpleasant, rude, bad attitude, and definitely isn't in the field to teach beginners. We have since found a different trainer that is much more compassionate and actually enjoys teaching my daughter. Tania is definitely not in the field to teach beginners. Warning to anyone who uses Tania or this company!! Definitely not a pleasant experience and would NOT recommend!!
