Last week, Trish said she would let me know if they were having lessons today due to construction: Me: "With the construction going on, [my kid] would be very happy doing a trail next week if conditions permit. She loves them! And I'll wait to hear back from you about purchasing for June and July." When I never heard from her, I texted her 2 hours before the 10:00 lesson and let her know we could either go today or next week, if today was unavailable due to construction. Trish did not reply until 10:15, with a blatant lie: "No, I will always cancel. There is a Trail Ride today and Alexa is on the schedule. I will always message you to cancel." This women has never texted me or notified me of a cancellation. She essentially stole $85 from me and lost my business. Such a disappointment. Note that all of the 1-star reviews noted similar problems: being charged for lessons that don't take place due to poor communication, and a terrible attitude from the owner. Also, I agree the place is pretty run down,.

Many other riding instructors are average horsemen with no clue about teaching and mysteriously high yelp reviews. I didn't realize how bad my previous instructor was before I had a few lessons with Sam. Now I can appreciate all the qualities I was missing out on that Sam has... * Tailors her teaching to each of her students learning style * Teaches novice to seasoned riders from 5 to 55 * Communicative * Encouraging and Supportive * Always Patient * Fun * Everything is a Learning moment * Safety first * Reliable * Even tempered * Emotionally Mature * Exerienced * Always friendly Sam is focused on the well being of all horses and each of her students. She gives every lesson her full attention. I've never left wondering "did that count as a lesson?" Thank you Sam Fossom for helping me realize my lifelong dream of becoming a natural horseman. P.S. I took a bunch of vidis of Sam teaching but unfortunately Yelp only lets you upload photos. One vidi was of her awesome floater, Eddie, who's super kind and knowledgeable. You can contact Sam for his info.

I contacted Lynn because I wanted to get instruction and have a positive trail experience with an expert. Lynn exceeded my expectations! My own horse is boarded at another stable, so I was matched with a safe and experienced trail horse belonging to Lynn's assistant. My lessons started with a short introduction to my horse in the arena followed by a short trail ride. Subsequent lessons took us farther into the trail system. Lynn knows the trails like the back of her hand and chose trails that challenged me but did not overface me. She freely shares her extensive knowledge about trail riding technique, trail etiquette, and safety. We saw lots of beautiful scenery. Encounters with deer, mountain bikes, hikers, courting peacocks, squealing children in trees, and joggers with mylar balloons all came off without incident, thanks to Lynn and Star, the perfect trail horse. Lynn offers private instruction, group lessons, and horse care. I had a great experience and recommend Strand Training Center without reservation!

Poor girl just needs to feel "empowered" or something lol. It was sad that the entire pony ride my 4 year olds daughter kept asking" " Why so she being mean to you? Why does she keep yelling at you?" 5 stars for the ponies, this girl (AMBER) needs a good talking to from her mom. I could say worse, but I'm no bully.

I could not feel more at home and happier here. Lauren, the head trainer and owner, is very knowledgable and KIND. She cares about every single horse and wants every rider to succeed. The barn is a fun atmosphere where everyone supports one another and safety is stressed. There are novice to experienced riders here, some with horses and some without! In addition to assisting with lessons, I take weekly lessons with Lauren. Her lessons are always challenging and educational. She uses a variety of exercises to build confidence and ability in rider and horse. Most lessons are privates, but for more advanced riders she does offer group lessons to encourage riders to learn from one another. Le Cheval Riding Academy is located at Peacock Hill Equestrian Center inside Irvine Regional Park. Inside the center, Lauren has her own beautiful private arena that overlooks the peaceful canyon. Extremely Disappointed - Unprofessional, Unethical, and Unresponsive!…read more I'm writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Nohl Ranch Saddle club; previously known as Anaheim Hills Saddle Club. After paying $2000 upfront, I was only there for two days before deciding to leave for another ranch due to the owner's rude, racist and unprofessional behavior. On my second day, the owner spoke to me in a disrespectful and condescending manner, making me feel entirely unwelcome. When I decided to leave, I requested my $2000 back, as I had barely utilized their services. Shockingly, they refused to issue a refund. Left with no other option, I took the matter to court. The judge ruled fully in my favor, yet despite the legal decision, they have failed to respond or return my money. This shows a blatant disregard for both their customers and the law. I strongly advise anyone considering this club to be aware of their unethical business practices. My experience has been deeply frustrating, from the poor treatment I received to the lack of accountability and professionalism in resolving the situation. Additionally, I did my research and found a large history of extremely horrendous behavior from the owners, management and staff. I posted in an Orange County Equestrian Facebook Forum and had an overwhelming 40+ individuals reach out with horrid stories from boarding here. Boarders beware! Avoid this place at all costs!
