Oreo has mostly fine Oreo pieces, but a lot. If you had asked me, I'd have guessed my preference would be larger chunks, but I'd be wrong. This is delightful! New York Wildberry Cheesecake gelato has a great, natural cheesecake flavor. The swirls of berry are rather sweet, but tempered by the tangy base. Chocolate Dipped Strawberry was a surprising household favorite with it's uber creamy pretty-pink base and stracciatella style dark chocolate. They offer a variety of flavors, with some seasonal. All gelatos were a bit harder than ice creams, which is no surprise given they have less cream/fat in them. I am sure if left at room temperature for five or ten minutes (as you are supposed to do for all frozen treats), they would be perfect consistency, but I never have the restraint to wait that long. We bought everything in pint ($5.50) or quart size ($7.50), but you know those long rectangular containers seen at gelateria's? YOU CAN BUY A WHOLE ONE FROM BON BON ($30)! Can you imagine how perfect that would be for a party? There is a $30 minimum, which is extraordinarily easy to meet, and a $5 delivery charge. What's unique about Up North Gelati is you get to pick 2 syrup flavors with their homemade custard in the middle. You can also select caramel or cream (snow cap) on top. You can mix match the flavors so there's so many possibilities! Some flavor discoveries of ours were: *Root beer float: root beer on top and bottom with snow cap. *Caramel apple: apple on top and bottom with added caramel. *Mango Love: mango on top, cherry on bottom (made up the name myself).
