This place is a vibe! The food was tasty (torta de milanesa) & the ambiance is so peaceful. Plants surround the seating area & there's a couple of water features that create a lovely atmosphere. Service was amazing, looking forward to checking it out again!

The plants are what got me here the food, service, plants, agua fresca, and good vibes are what's going to bring me back. I found this place on yelp and wanted to check it out . It's not easy to find a nice place to eat outside around here and this little cafe has made this little corner inviting and relaxing to sit and enjoy your lunch. I had the chicken pita it was good and really big it came with sliced oranges with Tajín, the perfect side. I had the pineapple agua fresca it was very refreshing. The lady that helped me was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back and recommend it if you're in the area.

hidden in city terrace, cute lil spot. I tried the breakfast egg and ham torta, and it was fantastic -- perfectly balanced flavors, fresh bread, and a nice kick from the salsa. Free wifi, prepared fresh to order, i enjoyed my breakfast sandwich

Everything bagel (toasted with cream cheese)

I ordered a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese. I got my food quickly and the people working were friendly. The bagel was pretty standard. It tasted very similar to a lot of other "everything" bagels I've had. The same goes for the cream cheese. The price is very reasonable and slightly cheaper than other options. I'd go again if I didn't want anything fancy or different.

Absolutely cute cafe here in city terrace. My green juice drink was exactly what I wanted in a green juice. Hubby got a tropical milk smoothie (effects of Hawaii lol) and an almond croissant. Everything was really good. Outside seating is really lovely with light jazz playing.

The food is so good and the ambience is beautiful. You're basically having lunch in a beautiful garden, tucked away in Boyle Heights! Plus, the service is great, they make you feel at home. And the salsa is amazing!!!

Awesome little cafe that's locally owned. Their tuna torta was excellent. I could tell they freshly mixed the tuna and the assembly was neat, veggies super fresh ($11). The toasted bread was so light and delicious. Got a watermelon agua Fresca and they freshly made it too. So good and worth the $5. It's a cute homey space with a ton of hummingbirds flying around the feeder, butterflies, and plants outside. Love it and definitely will be back!

I forgot to update about the ginger ale -it was delicious. And it was a warm weekend so it was perfect. If she still stocks it, def a good drink with her sandwiches on a warm day.

Zenaida's Cafe in East LA is an oasis in the heart of the city. The food is fresh and delicious, and the peaceful vibes make it the perfect escape from everyday life. The patio offers a welcoming, relaxing space where you can unwind and savor every bite. What really sets this place apart, though, is the owner--she's sweet, personable, and gives amazing service that makes you feel right at home. If you're looking for a place to enjoy an early breakfast or an afternoon smoothie, make time to stop by on your next day off--your taste buds will thank you!

Went to Vida Pura and got their breakfast burrito. It's been on my bucket list for a while, and…read moreneedless to say, it was definitely worth it. I'm glad I finally got around to trying it. I loved the avocado and hash brown combination, and the salsa that came with it paired really well, a little kick with it. The portion size was great and definitely filled me up. The service was fast, but seating is pretty limited since it's mainly outdoors. Parking can be a little rough because it's street parking only, and it was pretty full when I came on a Saturday morning. I would definitely come back. I also saw that they make coffee and matcha drinks, and they all looked really good, so I'd definitely come back to try that next time!

Vida Pura is a Latina-owned plant based cafe located in the heart of East LA. It was formerly a…read morevegan food truck and eventually became the current brick-and-mortar cafe. [Parking]: Free small public parking lot directly across from the shop. [Amenities]: This is a really small coffee shop with no indoor tables and only two small outdoor tables. No restroom is available. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are the Breakfast Burrito, Teddy Bear (double espresso, agave, housemade vanilla cold foam, Teddy Grahams), and Banana Nut. All drinks are made with oat milk. Please note that the kitchen closes at 1 PM on Monday - Tuesday and 2 PM on Wednesday- Sunday even though the cafe remains open for another 1 - 2 hours. Come early for anyone wanting to try kitchen items like breakfast burrito or breakfast sandwich. *** Banana nut (double espresso, house made vanilla cold foam, house made banana syrup - medium $7.50): It came with two banana chips. The cold foam was quite underrated and I could taste a hint of banana flavor. The drink wasn't as sweet as I had expected - I liked it. Breakfast burrito (Refried beans, soyrizo, tofu scramble, crispy hashbrowns and sliced avocado wrapped in a flour tortilla - $13.50): Portion wasn't huge, but it also wasn't small enough to finish in one sitting. It had one of the softest texture for breakfast burritos. The soyrizo was very flavorful. It also came with a side of salsa - quite spicy but flavorful at the same time. *** I probably still prefer meat-based breakfast burritos, but their soyrizo breakfast burrito is quite good and the coffee drink is excellent (4.5-star for both items). I would definitely recommend this small coffee shop for a quick grab-and-go.

Raspados Nayarit is so nice, I came back twice (in two days)!!…read more On the first day, I tried their refreshing tejuino: mango and lime. The mango was so smooth and creamy, like the best sorbet I ever had. The lime is always my go-to flavor: it was tart and complimented the sweetness of the mango perfectly! I really appreciated seeing the staff put in effort to give me a rounded scoop, despite the hard ice-y, crystallized texture of the lime flavor. It reminded me of the anticipation I had as a kid, watching a raspado vendor scraping ice by hand. One bite, and I was very happy. :') On the second day, I came back with a friend and we shared nachos and a pork torta. We each got our own tuba compuesta, made with palm wine*, bits of strawberry, apples, and peanuts. It was a little tart, slightly fermented, sweet, and overall refreshing. We both loved eating the peanuts and fruits, which was so satisfying. It's now something I crave hehe The nachos were so nostalgic in a great way: how can you go wrong with melted cheese and pickled jalapeños? The torta was amazing: we followed the staff's recommendation to choose pork as our protein (there's also an option for chicken or beef). It came with avocado, tomato, lettuce, red onion, mayo, and a side of spicy salsa. The pork was tender and flavorful too. It's a small, cute space that has been a neighborhood staple for decades with some seating indoors and outdoors. They also serve paletas, ice cream, smoothies, and tamales (on weekends). Parking is residential and well worth the find!
