I have been out of practice for a bit so this was a nice re-entry point. While the music and instruction and very quiet setting were different from my preferred yoga style, I will say that Angelina was a good teacher. The sequencing of the flow was great and I felt very challenged. I also appreciated how engaged she was with each student in different ways and the hands-on assistance she provided. I've been doing yoga for a while but there are still postures I'm confident aren't exactly right. She helped me correct a few and I was very grateful. She also recognized my flexibility and gave me additional adjustments/gentle pushes to get deeper into some postures. I also appreciated Mo at the front desk who was very nice and welcoming. Sometimes, when I come to smaller studios where everyone knows each other, I feel out of place but that wasn't the case here. Thanks, Radiance!

If I didn't have Melody teaching from the start, I'm not sure that I would be as hooked on yoga as I am now! I love many sports, but try to find time for yoga as it helps my flexibility, agility, and my mood! With abellaYoga, the focus isn't only on the practice itself - it's what you can take from the practice into your daily life. Melody has taught me to try to live all moments to the fullest, and to really appreciate day to day presence of mind. I "avoided" yoga for many years - I always thought it was an "easy" workout. I didn't think I would be as satisfied as I am after a good weights session, or a nice run. Boy, I couldn't have been more mistaken. I get a great workout each time I see Melody, and I know her teachings are carrying over into my other fitness activities!

After one private class in my home with Melody, I am hooked! I've taken a few of her public classes before, but found a one-on-one session so much more beneficial. Her teaching style is tailored to each client, and she offers guidance and encouragement to make the most of your session. Melody's attention to detail and focus on form are spot on. The slightest adjustment can take each pose or exercise to the next level. Melody's knowledge of yoga and her excitement in sharing her skills make each session a true workout... physically, mentally and spiritually. I am excited to learn more!

I've been here twice now…read more My first class was in 2023. I found them on ClassPass and I took a Tuesday night Yin class with Carley. I was not impressed. The sequencing was odd and her commentary wasn't my style. At some point, she said something like, "think about... I don't know... the window" and I just couldn't let it go. lol. Like, just not for me. I took a Sculpt class today with Aaliyah. It was fine, at best. I've been fortunate enough to take similarly-formatted classes at other studios - big, small, local, national - and this one just missed the mark. Aaliyah did a GREAT job of letting you know what to expect, and coaching you through doing moves correctly. But dear god, the insanely long breaks between every. Single. Move. And. Each. Block. Threw me off! At one point, there was like an actual 2-3 minute break. I burned under 300 calories for an hour-long class which NEVER happens for me. I think part of the issue was that she was doing every move with us and was getting pretty tired herself. The pace wasn't consistent enough for me. But there were older and pregnant people in class so maybe that's the gentler version. I appreciate that there's a yoga offering in this location but the styles here aren't for me. Like, I didn't even need or want a savasana at the end and didn't have the same clarity I normally do. That said, if you want a class where you're not really pushed to your edge and you want a slower pack with more sculpting handholding, this place is great!

I made two of my girlfriends come with me and we signed up for the Vinayasa on Wednesday at 6:30PM. As i entered the studio i felt a welcome from the guy at the front desk. The lounge area is inviting and also clean. I had to fill up some paper work since i was a first time student. The yoga instructor was Karen, she was welcoming and told us to get some mats, blocks, and blankets. The class was what i expected from a Vinayasa class as it focuses on slow movement and deep stretching. At the end of the class during the Savasana , karen walked around and gave some lavender oil as its calming and help to slow down and relax during the meditation period. I enjoyed the class, Karen was helpful and knowledgeable . Definitively recommend this studio

Those of you that have had an excellent Yoga teacher in the past will be very impressed with…read moreMargaret. She is highly knowledgeable in the practice, and as importantly, in the human body. As others have noted, she pays great attention to your alignment, which is very important as doing yoga improperly can cause problems, especially in the knee and wrist. She is good at remembering individual limitations and injuries and reminds you to modify or pass if a particular move is not right for you. I am still on the initial Groupon trial, but am liking it very much. I have taken the Sat 1045 vinyasa class, which seems to be popular. Each Saturday there are a few more Groupon newbies, so sometimes Margaret modifies to accommodate, but you still get a great class. This is a good class and can be a reasonable "power yoga" workout if you are properly putting all your muscles into it. If you want more of a challenge for flexibility and advanced poses, and strength, then try the Ashtanga offering - there will be a lot fewer people too (or certainly fewer once you get invited to the intermediate Ashtanga class.) I have not tried the Vinyasa flow "experienced", I suspect that is a more rigorous class than the Sat Open Vinyasa. Hmm, sounds like a plan. The studio is small, but adequate, you don't need a big, fancy health club to do good yoga, I suspect the opposite is true. I like the plants in the front of the room, they add a pleasant touch. Some have complained about the door buzzer, I can understand that. So next time you buzz in, why don't you hang out at the door and let the next person in so there is one less buzz ;-) Pay it forward, when you are let it, hang at the door for the next person or until the studio opens for class. If everyone did that, there would only be one buzz a class. Easy street parking. May 2013 Update: went back and took the Vinyassa "Variation" class today and enjoyed it. Margaret has decided to mix Vinyassa up a bit. This month she is concentrating on arm balances. Aug 2014 Update: after about 6 flow classes I was invited to Primary Ashtanga, which I instantly loved. It is the same routine every week, which is prep for the next Ashtanga, which is prep for the next... So it is not for everyone, but if you also want a "power" yoga workout, you can really push yourself on this and make it very hard. You will need an invite, please don't just show up if you have never practiced it before! Note to Ashley: Margaret has addressed your concerns and the class start and stop time are much more exact . You are correct, it not appropriate for a dog to wander around, so dogs are no longer permitted.

The studio is simple and low key, that works for me as long as the classes are good. I wish the session would not end at 6 weeks and would go on longer.
