I changed my mind and wanted to do 45 min but the didn't have the time for it so I stayed with my 30 min session. The person in the front charged me and walked me to my room and I went to lay in the bed it was peaceful and quiet. Once my masseuse came in she saw me scratching my shoulders and said "oh, got it working on your shoulders". She went to work let me tell you! I felt I needed a bit more work on my legs but no complains my back, shoulders, arms and sides got the best massage ever. I only came here because it's close by and a friend recommended it. I could hear people constantly coming in and out, employees talking loudly in the hallway, and even a man next to me moaning very loudly during their session. It made the whole experience uncomfortable and the opposite of what you expect when getting a massage. The massage itself also wasn't great. I repeatedly asked the therapist to use less pressure, but she continued pressing extremely hard despite my requests. At the end I left a $5 tip because I felt the service was mediocre. After I had already left and was sitting in my car, the front desk employee actually came outside and asked me for a bigger tip. That made the situation even more uncomfortable and felt very unprofessional. Overall the environment, the service, and the way the tip situation was handled left a bad impression. He would ease up briefly, then go right back to using excessive force. While my headache did go away, I lost a significant amount of hair during and after the massage. It has now been a week, and I am still losing hair. My scalp and temples are still sore from what felt more like a "massacre massage" than a relaxing treatment. He pulled my hair far too hard, and I am losing gobs of hair as a result. Not only that, but my entire body tensed up from the aggressiveness of the massage. I ended up with what feels like a pinched nerve running from my neck down to beneath my shoulder blade. This experience was painful and upsetting. This therapist should not be using this level of force on clients. I am genuinely concerned that someone could end up seriously injured. What should have been a therapeutic experience became a physically painful one that I am still dealing with a week later.
