First couple of times I came here, I had Andy, I remembered his name because is the same as my older brother's name. His massage was really good too, then I came back the 3 rd time , he wasn't there but another man named Daniel, he was alright and I really haven't gone there for awhile until yesterday ( 9/25). I had David, someone mentioned David was good but he's ok, not like Andy. I did the 90 minutes deep tissue for $90. It wasn't hard enough for deep tissue, for the first 20 minutes or so, he was massaging me with the towel on and he used a lot of elbows, that's the deep tissue lol but when he took the towel off and used his hands, it was rough, sand paper rough. And lots of forearms rolling, when he placed all the hot stones on a towel on my back, he was massaging my legs, I noticed he was really putting much effort in, it was like he was already tired. At the end, I still tip him $30. He asked if this was my first time here, I said no, I had Andy before and I asked if Andy was still here, he said no. To me, Andy was the only good one here, hopefully he comes back. Is funny how almost every massage places I go to, there's always a " Andy " lol such a popular name. Is in a plaza with Papa John's, auto shop, dollar tree, 7-11, and a couple of other shops, plenty of parking but don't park under the light pole or the big tall trees, that's where you get bird poop on your car. I went into Hello Foot Reflexology Massage in Lakewood expecting to leave relaxed. Instead, I walked out feeling like I had just lost a WWE match. The massage was extremely rough and uncomfortable. He was repeatedly pressing directly along my spine, ribs, and sciatic nerve with his elbow, and I left hurting MORE than when I came in. Anytime I tried to lift my head like I wanted to say something, my face was pushed back down into the bed. My ribs are killing me, my back and body are sore, and my eyelash extensions were literally all over my face from being shoved into the massage bed. And somehow it gets weirder. He kept burping right by my ear, and at one point HE WAS LAYING ON THE BED WITH ME while doing the massage. I genuinely could not believe what was happening. I understand deep-tissue massage can be intense, but this did not feel relaxing, therapeutic, or professional to me. I came in wanting relief and left feeling completely jacked up. AC was not on despite it being above 90 degrees outside. And the cherry on top? After that entire experience, they demanded MORE tip. Absolutely wild. This is my favorite place to get a massage in all of SoCal and even Hawaii. I've tried so many places within Long Beach and the South Bay. Places are either too expensive or massages are not satisfying for the price. Hello Foot Spa is THE BEST place for price and quality of service. No matter who you go to, they deliver consistently great body work. You know how some places you go and you know they are going through a routine? It's almost like clockwork. Not this place! No no no. Just NOOOOO. their bathroom is disgusting!!!! This place hurt me so bad that I'm in worse pain than when I came in with. I can't even move my neck and possibly have to go to urgent care. When you walk in you get greeted by an older lady who is not very social and not very happy. She points to assign that has the prices and then tells you to come on the gentleman I had kept going harder and harder and harder and when he asked me how the pressure was, I said ow it hurts and he just laughs kept laughing for the whole massage. I would tell him to stop he would laugh He'd continue to go harder and harder and harder. He also did this pounding thing at the end and it was so hard and forceful that I couldnt catch my breathe and was dizzy. At the very end I paid and they didn't tell me that I was going to be charged to use a card (until she had my card in the system) and they ridicule me for the tip that I left. I'm very particular with where I spend my hard earned money. Came to get a massage and relieve some stress. Where do I start? First off, massage was rushed. I told the lady to slow down. She kept going fast. She kept massaging the wrong area over an over. I looked at her and she was paying more attention to what everyone else was doing. Still rushing thru the massage, the lotion wore off. Felt stiff and uncomfortable. I wanted this to be over so bad. 10 min short of an hour which I was actually glad for. Masseuse walks in and starts massaging HARD directly on my spine and neck. Later to find out they gave me a male masseuse without telling me. This man pushed so hard on my back and neck that I'm a bit worried that he may have screwed something up. Very unprofessional. Please go to AA+ massage down the street. This place is trash. We used to come here all the time prior to the pandemic and they were good. Couldn't beat $20 for an hour foot massage. Fast forward to yesterday, my husband, daughter and I booked appointments. We showed up 10 mins early and immediately were attempted to be unsold after stating we only wanted the 60 min foot massage for $30. The lady kept saying $5 more for combo. We didn't want the combo, because with the foot massage they do spend about 20 mins on your upper body and that's all any of us needed. So we go to back and sit, same lady again says you want combo? No. We want the $30 foot massage, she goes to the back and another woman asks AGAIN if we want the combo. WTF is the issue?! No. We want the $30. So now that both women have asked a man comes out walks to my husband and guess what he says..you got it, asks if we want the combo. At this point, we're annoyed and I told myself that if they asked again, we'd walk out. Finally we get to the massage. They do the upper body, feet, all the things right? Wrong. We walk out after leaving a $30 tip and my husband says that his upper body wasn't touched. We won't ever be coming back, I don't like to be constantly unsold and I don't like paying for something we didn't get. They've lost customers forever. Not the nicest looking spa but $40 for 60mins and the quality was REALLY GOOD. My shoulders are really stiff because I slouch a lot, and the masseuse was able to work on my shoulder and neck area more with adjusted pressure. They usually offer a bottle of water, but I like warm drinks, and my masseuse Helen gave me hot tea (which was only included in the 90min package). Great service! Helen is the best! My wife and I have been coming here for the past 2 years, she always get the same masseues everytime because she does such a great job at it. Her name is Helen, she is a very sweet lady. I'm not sure what people expected from a Asian massage. They are supposed to dig their elbow into your muscles to relax them. Reading some of the comments shows me that they are being a little dramatic. But I will always suggest the $35 dollar body and table massage. Been coming here for a while. This is the best part of my week. Anna is my girl! She's the best deep tissue therapist they have here. Their English ain't so great :-) but they get the job done . I do the hour full body deep tissue for 40 bucks. Helen is the front desk lady and she tries real hard to make you feel at home broken English and all. I used to be a frequent customer here for years. The pandemic hit and I stopped coming. I just came back this past week and I was sooooo disappointed. They make you pay before your service and really did not want to sell me the massage I wanted, I just wanted the combo but the lady at the front kept insisting I buy more expensive packages. If anyone working there is reading this, when someone says which massage they want more than twice just freaking listen. Please stop that. If I said combo, it's combo. That's it. I literally almost walked out but I wanted my feet rubbed so badly so I stayed. Then I requested two women. It was for me and my boyfriend. She kept insisting we needed a man. Again.
