This was the WORST massage, or any experience for that matter in my life. I came to my appointment with initial confusion on their part of where to lay me down, though there wasn't a single person there except me (the customer) and a man and a woman (I am assuming owners?). I got an hour massage, but honestly I was done after 5 minutes. INSANELY loud talking in their tongue from the man who was massaging me and the woman that was I am guessing supposed to work the front desk. Three different times he completely walked away mid massage to go talk to her, he was yelling (furiously) something to her as she was on the phone. I literally laid there with my eyes open showing him I was very very uncomfortable- only to have him continue talking and talking and taking. It was insane!!! Do these people not care about customers and keeping business? I should have walked away 5 minutes in. The massage itself was almost done by a non professional. I am curious if this man is even licensed. He lazily brushed his hands against me, and there was zero technique. Here is an even bigger kicker. When I got to paying, I really did not want to tip - but I figured I will tip $5 since not tipping feels wrong; but they didn't even deserve a penny - even for the massage itself, forget the tipping. When I gave this man $35 cash, he started mumbling something and pointing to credit card machine. I figured he wants me to pay I'm card and tip on cash so I said ok. After he used my card for now $31 ($1 fee I guess for cards) I gave him the $5, only to have him start yelling and write down $15 on a piece of paper!!!! Yes this man was demanding I tip him $15 for his crappy unprofessional job!!!! I told him that tipping is my choice and frankly he doesn't even deserve $1 and walked out. Unbefuckenlievable. Please please don't go here!!!!!! read more

Ok, lets talk about Tobacco smell on the masseuse's hands AND Lets talk about fingernails (ouch). Now, I like deep massages, but this was down right abusive, and my guy was grunting the whole time he "worked" on me. I asked him not to be so rough, and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. OK, be ready when you're paying. If you dont give them 35% tip (thought tip was optional) They will literally follow you to you car and proceed to scold you, waving dollar bills in your face. Honestly, It got a little scary because I parked in the back ally. Please be careful here. read more

I've been going to Zen for nearly 9 years. Always treated good and with respect. Lee, Yung and Feng are my go too. I like to rotate between them. They each have their own technique. I work a lot and in food service. So my body takes a beating. Without them I couldn't keep going. read more

This place is my secret spot where I always know I can get a great massage on the fly if I find myself with some free time.

Quick update. Post Covid prices are now up to 30 for an hour. Still a deal.

I lucked out! Spontaneous first time drop in. Waited for traffic hour to die down so I stopped in for a massage. Got Michael. Firm, confidence massage therapist. Very relaxing. Will come back. Score! read more

The business is closed. Time to find a new spot for foot massages! It's okay because it always smelled like cigarettes anyway!

The massage was okay. Nothing great. I was going to give her five bucks as a tip and she screams like literally yells "ten!! I want ten!" I was shocked and told her "that was rude, and I'm never coming here again."2 years later and I still kept my promise. If this place is going to demand a tip like that, I'll take my business elsewhere read more

Massage was just ok...and by that I mean he didn't hurt me. That's where the bar is set after reading these other reviews. Pros: Price 20/hr Cons: Put feet in a bucket of cold water Massage was distracted and mediocre Employees talking to each other including while giving my massage They allowed a customer waiting to talk loudly and even have a phone call on speakerphone Not relaxing Tipped more than he deserved 37% and he still had the audacity to come to my car and yell at me through my window. Although with the language barrier, I don't think either of us could effectively understand the other. *note to management if they even read it: raise your prices to pay your employees better so that they don't bully customers. People would still come if the foot massage was 25. read more

Decent place to go for cheap massage. Only thing is they're really loud. The first time I was there, the manager wasn't there so there was a lot of commotion and whispering. Good massage but definitely not relaxing. You get what you pay for. read more

I just walked in and nobody greeted me so I waited for about 5 minutes assuming they were busy: I could hear people talking in the back so I asked a girl sitting down if I could get treated and she just shrugged me off. Nobody in the back said anything and I left. At least tell me your busy and won't be able to take on anything else and to come back another day but ignoring your clients is a huge no in my book for customer service. read more

Good massage and I felt at moments I was going to be broken into pieces. One only comment is the price and how the customer service was at the end. I came in for a $20 foot massage for an hour. I did get more than just a foot massage that included basically a full body massage. When I went to pay I gave a tip that came with disagreement and was told I give a larger tip than I had thought was appropriate. The person there felt they needed a larger tip. So I would say they shouldn't put $20 for the massage when they will demand more even if it is a tip. Tips are a gesture of the service provided but is optional on the amount by the customer. Here they demand it. Not cool. read more

Masseuse smelled like tobacco, and they were very rude about the tip, pushing us to give more. (cash only obviously)

I really hate to leave bad reviews, because I know people have to eat, but this experience really warrants it. I have had all kinds of massages, all over the country. This was hands down the worst massage I've ever gotten. My wife and I decided to check it out after dinner one evening. My wife opted for the combo ($35). Having just eaten, I decided to go for the straight foot massage ($20). That seemed to annoy the massage therapist right out of the gate, who seemed to be offended that I didn't opt for the Combo, but to be honest, I didn't think too much of it. The foot massage was fairly meh, but then he had me roll over and gave me a back massage as well -- which mostly consisted of him digging his elbow into the area around my spine. Straight up, I like strong pressure, but this was the most painful massage I have ever received. Nothing relaxing about it, nothing therapeutic about it. Just bad. My wife ended up with a similar experience. The massage therapist used way too much pressure, even after she asked him to lighten up. She was in pain all night and has been taking Advil all day. I paid for my wife and my massages at the same time. The massages were $55 and I added a $45 dollar tip -- and definitely got the sense that it was not appreciated. Bottom line is that they are right down the block from where I live, but I will never go back. Life is just too short. read more

The massage was fire! I did the combo massage body 40mons feet 30mins for $35! It was so good that I came back to tip $15! They're only accepting cash, everyone wears a mask. Call to set up an appointment. Will definitely make this my regular massage place! Such great services and prices. read more

My lukewarm experience here started right off the bat in a Porta Potty in the back parking lot because there was something wrong with their regular bathroom. I prepped for my massage by squatting in a random Porta Potty - not a great way to start "me time". The entire place felt unclean to me, and I've been to many $20 reflexology places and don't usually have issues with most of them. My masseuse was a sweet older woman who lacked technical skill. She used very little oil/lotion on my skin so the friction was uncomfortable. She used some painful strokes and weird pressure points, like digging into my ankle bones for 10 minutes. It was really not enjoyable and I ended up getting a massage at another location the day after. I would not recommend :( read more

Both Times I came in there it reeked of cigarette smoke! The owner doesn't take it seriously.

This has to be the most dangerous place to go for a massage. First it is cash only. At least they tell you that. That means no records of your visit. Therefore if they damage you in any way they can simply say you were not there. Plus the place is dirty. The staff smells. I wonder how many of them are actually licensed to do this kind of work. Don't go there. read more

BEST MASSAGE EVER!!! I wish I could give it 10 stars! Really professional and the workers were extremely nice! I don't understand those who left a nasty comment about this place, obviously it's a cheap massage place, the workers may struggle with English, but they are very hard working. The guy that gave me a massage was a little too hard on me, but I called the owner and she was very nice about it and explained it to her worker, we worked it out right away. If you have a problem just call the owner to resolve the problem instead of whining about it... it's not hard.... 10/10 would recommend, bringing my mom for Mother's Day! read more

I came here after years of not getting a massage. I was so excited! I paid for The one hour "foot massage." The guy who massaged me was good at first. But soon he began using too much strength in his hands. I even thought it was a joke at first. I asked him to lighten his touch several time by using the words "softer please" . He never lightened up. I don't know if it was his lack of English proficiency or his lack of caring. After a while I was at an uncomfortable level of pain at every touch. In hindsight I should have ended my massage as soon as I felt that he was not responding to my repeated requests. When my 1 hour of slight torture finally came to an end it was time to pay for my torture session. My one hour massage cost $20. I handed my masseuse a $10 bill as a tip despite his level of service. To my shock he had the audacity to mock me along with another masseuse calling me cheap. He then began gesturing for me to give him more money. He also gestured at his back and shoulders as if to say he had worked extremely hard on me and so he deserve a lot more than what I was offering. I laughed off his Relentless request considering I had just endured and not enjoyed his" massage". Furthermore, I endured a very sore back for two days following the incident. I had to take pain relievers just to be comfortable the first day. I will not be going back to an establishment that ignores, mocks, begs and is condescending to their clients. read more

Very clean and relaxing place. Can't beat a massage for $20. They even do your head, arms, legs, and back with the foot massage. Lee always does a fantastic job! Please make sure you tip your masseuse a lot! They work hard! :) I can't wait for this place to open back up. read more

I have been thinking about writing this review ever since I went there. I feel I have to speak out. I even want to sue them. This place should be shut down! One of my friends told me the place. I went to try once. It was a terrible place. I feel ashamed as a Chinese woman. Not only it is not clean, but also the people who work there are very unprofessional. I chose a male because I like deep pressure. He told me to choose the combo which I need to take my clothes off. I do this kind massage at "Massages Envy" all the time and they are very professional. I didn't think too much. But when he started with a little thin blanket to cover me, then his hands were going too far. He was trying to touch my private place all the time. Actually he did, I tried to adjust him. I thought his style was too open for me. And also his pressure was too hard. My body was hurting for days after I left. I hate I didn't not have courage to speak out at that time. Please don't go there, I don't want more women to get this kind of treatment. read more

My boyfriend and I come here regularly ; once or twice a week . Everybody is so nice and the price is just so cheap . We both end up falling asleep sometimes . We only get foot massage here as we have our own massage therapist for full body massage elsewhere which we pay big bucks for that . I just think $20 for having someone massage your feet for an HOUR is an amazing deal because when I get my nails done , they charge $10 for 10 mins foot massage . What I don't understand is how people tip them only $5 !!! It's just outrageous to me . Massaging someone for one hour straight is very difficult and deserves more than $5 . It's not about percentage here as I can assure you that these people don't get an hourly wage and they live on their tips . read more

This is not the place to go if you need a relaxing session. I originally came in for a one hour massage they convinced me to do one hour 20 minutes. During this time they switched the therapist on me and my therapist kept walking off my session in the middle of my massage, and finished 5 minutes early. I felt cheated of my time. My masseuse kept asking for more tips when he really didn't deserve any. Tips are for good service. Why is this place feeling so entitled. read more

I have been going here for 10 years and take out of town friends and my daughter since she was 5. They have some great masseuses and the owner is very friendly and takes care to make sure everyone has a great experience. I usually get the one hour reflexology and love that treatment along with the back massage. read more

Been coming here for a couple years. Li, Jack and KK are great. If I get the $20 massage I do ask for hot hot water. I usually get the combo because they use the hot stones which I love. I use massage for pain management and this place is affordable read more

So I was fine with the atmosphere and the location of the place but the masseuse was terrible, Lee. She kept texting and looking at her phone! Who the hell does that when you're with a client! Not ok. I think she's the manager since the other employees kept asking her questions and she kept getting distracted by something else, therefore not paying attention to my needs. Now her massage skills were meh. She did great on my scalp but when it came to my feet, she did the same thing over and over again without switching anything up or focusing on one space. She also wore gloves which were not soft and didn't allow her to notice if she had enough lotion! Imagine a latex glove rubbing over your skin with pressure without lotion! Ick! So Lee had to get up (again) and settle something at the counter (probably a tip thing according to other reviews) and Mimi stepped in! She was there for 5 MINUTES and I already enjoyed her massage WAY more than Lee's. She didn't use gloves which I loved and focused on sensitive areas that needed work! Brilliant! I'm going to try them again because the price is good and no they didn't bug me about tip. But I WILL be asking for Mimi! read more

Went to get their advertised foot reflexology massage that was advertised at $19.99. It started wonderful with the masseuse gently caressing my hands, face, and feet so wonderfully. She then asked me to lay down on the table where everything went left. Some BIG MAN came elbows deep in my back, neck, spine, EVERYWHERE! I found myself yelling STOP when it was uncontrollably painful. He never, NEVER, used his hands not once. Then when it came to pay, they told me and my friend that we had to leave a $10 tip each! Then told us it was a mandatory tip! Like really? I was not satisfied and I'm sure my back was bruised. So we ended up only paying a $5 tip as the big guards escorted us out. Never coming back. read more

Great massage for good price. Got a full hour with hot stones. My masseuse went right to my problem spots and worked it out!

This place was ok for the price: $20 for an hour of body and foot massage. Two main issues were that the woman massaging me kept answering her cell and / or texting mid massage and the man massaging my friend reeked of cigarettes. I'd recommend going a little further to yaya massage who has the same price and handles business a little better . read more

The woman manager or owner is really nice. The other staff cannot speak much English but massages were all really good. There was 5 of us. It's not in the nicest part of town but it was traffic hour and that was our only option. read more

I'm really not pleased that I have to give this relatively new business a poor review. I stopped by at about 11AM and there is a man there who welcomes me but barely speaks a word of English. He points at the board and asks what I would like. I point to the one hour special. I'm OK with all this so far. Then he gets on the phone with someone who is probably the boss or the owner? I feel clueless as I just watching this all go down. Then he turn to me after the phone conversation and says we have no one to do my massage. Nothing conveyed about come back in an hour or whatever, just kind of like go away??? So I leave and I went to Chiva Massage on Overland Ave and got an amazing massage on their early bird special till 2 pm for $39. Yes it costs more but a quality massage is so well worth it. I doubt I will ever go back to Zen Reflexology. Hey Zen, you are not Zen at all, learn how to run a business and make people feel welcome it will go a long way. read more

Zen Reflexology - Front of Zen, I won't be coming back. - Massage Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Barely worth it massage. Any massage is better than no massage but dialing it in here. They do the whole, "what you can only tip 25%?" bullshit act at the end forcing your hand to pay more. You do and then they'll lose a potential returning customer every time. I don't get it. Look, slummy massage joints, do a better job and we the customers will pay/tip more. read more

The stuff is so nice and their service is amazing. Tonight I had the opportunity to do my massage with Mike, he was awesome and really took care of a pain I had been having on my neck for the last week, now I feel fabulous and can move my head with ease. They are also very generous, although you invest $19.99 on a foot massage, they end up doing an outstanding full body massage that covers front and back with oils and warm towels. They even stayed open 10 minutes after closing to finish my 1hr massage, very happy and will definitely go back. Thank you guys! read more

This place is amazing. And cheap! I get a two hour massage (1 hour foot and 1 hour full body) for $60!!! KK is my favorite massage therapist. I recommend this place. read more

3.5 STARS! You get what you pay for. Pros: - Fairly clean - Parking was easy to find - They took debit - I almost fell asleep! Cons: - Busy street so it was a little loud, but they tried to keep the place relaxed and quiet as much as possible. - They didn't speak English. - When paying, they had to write it down in order to ask how much tip. When I went to pay for two foot massages totaling $41, I wrote $10 for tip and the woman then proceeded to point to the money and claim all of it and pointed to her co worker and asked for $10 more for his tip. read more

Gross. Dingy, you know they reuse the towels, it smelled and the toilets are Andy Gumps out back. I couldn't allow myself to get a massage so I walked out. This is just a review on atmosphere. read more

Went to their former location a few times; was so-so but not having found anything better, continued at their new place. Few massages by women later, for firmer & hopefully better technique, got Jake; was ok. Then from a recommendation here, got Michael/Mike who (pet peeve: doesn't believe in trimming his nails, & reeks of tobacco, but this was the least of his problems), put his hand down front middle of shirt. Never had anyone 'massage' sternum before (it's a bone!) so indicated discomfort; he laughingly stopped. Next visit: he was the only guy, & given he had stopped, thought would be ok to try again. This was a mistake. Not only did he repeat above, but 1 step further: 'massaged' upper inner thigh (again, no professional masseuse goes there!), deliberately & repeatedly knocking against pubic bone, DESPITE my indication to stop! A pervert who DESERVES an undercover cop & all the consequences!! Finally the creep had the audacity to act dumb & not return $10 change, rudely muttering under his breath in his language throughout. AVOID!!! read more

Don't come here. They will shake you down on the way out. Paid 30% tip and was told it wasn't enough. They wanted us to pay an extra 50% as a tip. Given that the massage was rushed and felt like I was a veal chop being pummeled I was being overly generous at 30%. We ended up paying 40% tip and still got harassed. The other yelp reviews must be for a different location because the photos don't match either. Been to a hundred of foot massage places between LA,NY, SF and this is the worst ever. read more

The massage was nothing special at all. At one point I started to ask her to stop because I felt liKe she was just beating at my back with cold dry hands and it brought 0 relaxation to me. However I stayed and I will say it got a bit better as she continued. The massage was so cheap that I would've initially considered going back however my business was lost at the payment stage. I paid via a card and wanted to leave partial tip on the card and the rest with cash I had. When I told her to add 15% to my card and explained I wanted to give moRe in cash....she instantly got rude. I do think the language barrier didn't help but I was sooo confused on how pissed off she got. She begun to yell and roll her eyes and demanded to charge my card for a higher amount than I said. It got to the point where she refused to hand me back my card, at this point screw the cash I planned on giving her. I don't think the language barrier is justification for how rude and unprofessional she got. I will not be going back and would not recommend-especially With seeing other customers have dealt with the same chaos read more
