Jenny is a LEGEND!! I was craving a fire-themed manicure, and showed her a picture of what I wanted, saying I was pretty sure it was photoshopped, and asked if she could do anything even close to that. Honestly I would have been satisfied if we could pull off a gradient from gold to red. But she really went above and beyond my expectations. I kept apologizing for requesting something so complex, but she took it in stride, examining the picture I had on my phone, and got to work. The end result was STUNNING. She used gel polish, glittering gold and red to replicate sparks and embers, creating a beautiful gradient. I thought it was beautiful and thanked her for doing such amazing work. But she wasn't done. She used a dark red chrome powder on my nails and hand painted realistic flames on each nail. After buffing, she wiped away the excess powder to reveal the most intense and incredible fire pattern I could ever dream of. I was absolutely FLOORED by the result. I've been a client of Zen's for years now, and have always had a first-class experience. I'll never go anywhere else! I've included the reference image I'd found online, plus Jenny's masterpiece, and several other examples of their salon's outstanding talents. My best advice? Splurge on the Zen Organic Pedicure one of these days. It's $60, ($75 if you want Gel polish) and it is absolute BLISS. read more

We called a booked two pedicures, they were behind schedule. we soaked our feet for over an hour before getting worked on. we did a Diamond pedicure for 60 minutes, but only got worked on for 45 minute. she cut my toe and some how cut my foot. not only did my toe nails get painted but my skin too. plus the extra $15 cost for gel plush. when the bottle only cost them maybe $10, used on over 50 customers. read more

I have been to this nail salon many times for pedicures. They are fast & do a great job . I went in a few minutes early for my scheduled time for a pedicure . It appears they took in 3 walk in pedicures right before my scheduled appointment. I had to wait 30 minutes before they started my pedicure . I would have gotten up & left but they do a great job . I just wish they were more considerate to people with actual appointments. You can take walk ins when you have the techs to do the job but don't try to squeeze 3 people in when you don't have enough help. As always my pedicure was great & I do recommend them . I want to be honest and let you know if you come here request a younger lady, Grace and Tiffany are amazing and they know how to do designs. They actually speak to you and make sure you like what they are doing. However, if you get an older tech, they don't like to take their time or really try for you. They work for the time and the amount of customer they can push out. So listen to my advice and ask for younger girls to do your nails. You will get amazing nails that will receive a lot of compliments, and you will be left happy while also giving your tech a deserving tip. read more

The reason I'm giving zen nails 1 star is because of( YEN ) hopefully I'm gettin the right name. The moment the nails took the wrong turn she took everything personal and didn't try to find a solution. I came in wanting black French tips , I was told I could do powder or regular, so I decided to do powder not knowing how badly it would turn out. I could probably say it wasn't YEN's fault, it was difficult to do this on black powder but YEN proceeded not to understand my concern about my nails and she was ready to let me walk out with my nails like the picture. As you can see, she was very unprofessional and mad about my nails because she started shaping my nails wrong and didn't care about my nails being shaped weird after I was unhappy about it. At the very least, she should've noticed the errors and offered to fix them or recognized that there was something CLEARLY wrong. Instead, she chose to pout and leave me with nails with countless flaws (the pictures don't capture all the flaws). Even my boyfriend, a MAN, noticed how bad they were. Smh. I don't speak their language but she made me feel like she was talking badly about me. I also noticed she was getting rude to owner when he was pointed out the flaws. One thing I can say is that THE OWNER was very helpful and sympathetic, he had great costumer service and wanted to please me but I ended up paying $25 for this work and gave YEN a $5 tip and she didn't even say thank you or apologized. Although the owner tried to find a solution, now that I keep looking at my nails, I should've got this service for free and not paid $25 because they are really bad and now I have bad birthday nails. read more

I have generally had good service, however the last gel nails I received did not even last 2 weeks before they were literally peeling off all my nails. I believe the nail tech was new and did not apply the gel products in the right amounts. I should have spoken up, but again I've never had this happen. Will be finding a new salon. Worst service ever took over 2 hrs to get my pedicure and 30 was actual service then the color was wrong and when I told her she just said ok and continued. The design is I don't know what looks like a black glob. My fill was next and wasn't any better didn't get the planned nail design because of the attitude given when I showed her and it is already 120 my appt was 1030 so I went with just a French which she gave me attitude picking the base pink color. Well... I have been there for few times and I really liked it. Zen, Lisa, and The men (Don't know the names) are good. That is why I chose Zen to be my go to salon. Unfortunately, I just had a worst salon experience in my life with Tamy today. I chose to get Ombré dipping powder, she wasn't experienced and it took 3 hours to get done. But it's okay, I wasn't complaining about her skills but her attitude was so unprofessional and condescending. She was giving me an attitude and threw brushes on the table and was extremely mad because she couldn't do a proper job with the ombré. I was just being quite and observing her attitude. I really don't appreciate how she treat her consumers. In the future she should be advised to control her attitude and improve her skills. Everybody makes mistakes, but it's important to have mutual respect as humans. When I brought up the issue to the manager, he didn't even acknowledge her wrongs nor apologize. Just heads up bc nobody wants to feel like a burden while paying for a service. read more

Set an appt online yesterday to go do my nails today ( easy and convenient)...you can choose your favorite Nail tech online...easy and simple just like that....after looking at same acrylics on their website I chose my Nail tech. LISA! I had something in mind and a picture with a very low quality. Got there, the place is clean and pretty, lots and lots of polish variety, lots of sample nails, lots of nails display books....lots of color and design variety. I waited about 10 min then Lisa introduced herself and sat me down, she gave me a bottle of water and I showed her the pic of what I had in mind. I tend to be very picky with my nails, I love them very square ( not bailarina...I means straight square) also long and curved down...ands it's so, so hard to find a nail tech that does all my requests exactly as i ask. Usually when they do a good shape they miss on the " curved " or vice versa... Well Lisa really impressed me!!!!!!! She shaped and curved exactly how I wanted, the length exactly as I requested...very skilled lady, she filed the nails and the acrylic excess really well. Then it came the design part...with a tiny brush she did 5 different line colors in each nail just like my model picture.... The result was amazing, she is so perfectionist, whatever it was not good enough she fixed it right away without me saying anything!!!!!!! I'll be back for sure for fill and Fullsets. I was extremely impressed and refreshed from this salon!! I was impressed with the cleanliness, the appearance, the atmosphere, and the professionalism. My experience started when I called to make a reservation: I was greeted by a friendly clear voice that took down my reservation merrily, and when I arrived 20 minutes later, I was greeted by name. I met the owners, who are two Korean brothers (fluent in English btw) and I was pampered not only with my mani but from the moment I walked in. The owners came by and made sure I was comfortable, offered me a coke or water, and answered all my questions. It was refreshing and I absolutely appreciated it. My manicurist was adorable and I was also able to have a simple conversation with her as well (her name was Kim). Their COVID safety measure were also apparent: plexiglass between me and the manicurist, hand sanitizer at every station, clean store, touch less payment process. It was fantastic! They even do a reward program--Punch card and a free manicure on your birthday! I can't wait to come back for a pedicure. read more

I just moved out of state so I can't go here anymore, but it was nice having such a reliable place right across the street. I always liked to do something fun on my nails for special occasions and they never disappointed. My nails would always come out so cute! I would also get pedicures once a month and I love their menu options, all of them are a great deal. The last time the tip of my middle finger chipped after a couple of days so I came in and they fixed it quickly and with no issues. Love this place. Was greeted with a warm smile and a welcome. I have been taking my daughter here to get her full set and pedicure. She absolutely loves it. Thank goodness her uncle spoils here so this her go to place for a full set, pedicure, deluxe manicure, and fill. Zens is so friendly and very helpful. I have gone here for a year or so and never had an experience like I did today. I usually go to the same guy Nathan and when I needed to book my next appointment at a specific time he wasn't available so I chose to go to Cindy. She did great! The next time I needed an appointment he wasn't even in the schedule to select so I chose Yen and she did so good. Today I came in and Nathan was quiet most of my appointment then while he was asking what color I wanted and I told him then said maybe a sparkle as well but I hadn't looked at those yet he replied "you have to choose I won't choose for you" in a very rude tone. He then proceeded to tell me that if I didn't like the way he did my nails I could go back to Cindy. I told him I didn't go to Cindy last time I went to Yen. And he said you didn't go to me you went to Cindy too. He seemed really upset that I went to someone other than him. And was really rude when he said it. It made me really uncomfortable and I almost stood up and walked out without my nails being finished. While he was painting the second coat I asked him if he could please go to the cuticle and he was rude again and said he does my nails and knows that I'm picky. I said he was being rude and that if I am paying for my nails I would like them done the way I'd like. For the quality and service I received I would not recommend Nathan to anyone. I have always been nice and respectful to him and he was rude and made me feel guilty for going to another tech at the same nail salon. He needs some coaching from his manager. read more

So disappointed! Let me just say that I picked this place based on the reviews and the pics look nothing like the crappy job they did. Sure they're nice and all but be prepared to be nickeled and dimed. They quoted a new set for $45 and $5 design for two nails well this amount turned into $71 because they charge $10 for removal, $5 for the length, and $5 dollars for each shitty design. The nails are uneven and bumpy, this guy did a horrible job. To make matters worse, he kept leaving to blow his nose and wouldn't wash his hands. The best pedicure I've ever had! I made my appointment online for my mom and I, it gave me the option to pick who I wanted to book my appointment with. I've only been here a few times and didn't have someone specific I wanted so I just picked random and let them give me anyone. I love that they have the option to book appointments online, it's so convenient and so easy! My appointment was booked with Amie and she was amazing! She was very nice and friendly! She was very thorough and did a really really good job. It was so relaxing and the pedicure lasted about 45 min, it was so nice! I've booked pedicures before at other places and they're done in 20 min and you can tell they're trying to get you in and out of their chair so they can help as many people as they can. You won't get that here! It was seriously the best experience. They have options to pay through venmo as well which I love! It makes the check out process very convenient. If you're looking for a relaxing 45 minutes to yourself, you should definitely book a pedicure and ask for Amie! She's awesome and I will be booking with her specifically every time! read more

I was looking for a place to get my nails done for the holidays and noticed on Yelp that they recently opened and had a 20% promotion going on so I decided to come here. Right when I walked in, the staff greeted me immediately and sat me down. My nail technician, Yen, who is also the owner, showed me the variety of gel colors they had and asked me what I wanted. I told her I like natural, simple nails and she did exactly that. As she filed and shaped my nails, she continued to ask me if I liked the way they were turning out. I appreciate how attentive she was and always checking in. In addition, she went above and beyond by making me feel comfortable and as if I was conversating with a friend. The environment was COVID friendly. There was a barrier shield in between me and Yen and we were both wearing masks. There was also hand sanitizer available. I love how pretty my nails came out! I will definitely be coming back to get my nails done here again and recommending this place to my friends. They also have a great punch card reward system! **TW: long post** 4/5 This was my second time to Zen Nails & Spa. My first time there was just 2 weeks earlier and the experience was fantastic! I don't know the name of the nail tech because 1 she said it so fast, and 2 she didn't wear a name tag; which I think would be useful. 2 weeks ago, I was getting ready for my vacation and I had asked my technician for something tropical. I asked for shellac nails (but I think I got gel) and showed her a pic and she spent over twenty minutes trying to perfect the image. Which I appreciated! But honestly I gave up and agreed the image was okay. It was a whale tale. Just the tail, she did the ocean perfectly just not the whale tale. I wish I would've kept a pic but I didn't. What upset me about my first experience wasn't the experience, that part was fine, it was the QUALITY of my nails afterward! Again, I wish I would've kept a pic! (SC disappears after 24H) but day 1 that evening after I showered, my pointer nail cracked right down the middle and I was debating if I had time to get it fixed since our trip was in a few days and I still had to work. To my better judgement I let it go. The next day, the day before I had to leave, another nail cracked! I was mindful this time with hot showers, water etc. and it still cracked! Ugh, I didn't have time to fix it and I had to live with it for my trip. So long story short, I HATED how the ended up looking like Robin eggs by day 3 or 4 of having them. Every single nail cracked and looked gross because I was at the beach and dirt and sand got into the cracks and I couldn't scrub hard enough to get them clean! So I peeled off what I could because that looked better than keeping them on. So quality wise, I would say /5, one out of 5 stars for my first time visiting. My SECOND time is 4/5 stars. It should be 3.5 out of 5 because my technician didn't allow me to change my mind, which I should've been able to do but rounding up. Again I asked for shellac and showed an image and she went to work. While she was working on one hand I continued scrolling for images and found one similar but a little more detail. I thought it would be fine to change my mind. NOPE! She scrolled back to my first image and said that one. Then called a 2nd tech over to draw it, and then finished me off. I was disappointed that I couldn't get what I really wanted. And this time because the image was simple the quality was better and it's been over 12 hours since I've had them done and no cracks so far. Cost was $35 for the below image before tip. Not what I was expecting to pay, as I asked for basic and I think it was listed as $22 and she told me the up charge for a drawing was $5 which I agreed to. But for what I paid, I thought I'd at least get my hands massaged and more than just lotion. So I feel it's over priced for what I received. So my OVERALL experience between the two times is 4/5. Closer to 3.5 but 4 to round up. Would I recommend this place? Sure. I would, the people are nice. Bruce is nice. Yen (Zen) is nice too. Your technician might not say one word to you or have a convo with you but that's okay. Bring headphones and listen to music. It's just so hard to find a GREAT nail salon that meets your every expectation, but Zen Nails comes pretty damn close. read more
