The only good thing about this place is Chan and I'm sad that I won't have her to do my pedicure.. this place is downright terrible. I have picture proof in my last review that they didn't do my nails well twice and I made a review about it which is exactly what this platform is for. I was never rude. I was never nasty. I went in there. Got my nails done and tipped well each time. I guess the business saw my honest review and they felt some type of way about it because after seeing it, they've been lying to me and messing with my appointments.. saying I was double booked, telling me to call back multiple times, saying they will call me back and never did and canceling my appointment an hour before and having Chan do it (appointment wasn't even with her) because they know she's sweet. When I went in today to get the acrylic soap off because they have been giving me such a hard time, the guy basically said because I left a bad review on yelp that they didn't want to do my nails anymore . Like I stated, I never gave them a hard time. I only told the truth if you don't want that reviews on yelp then hire people that do their job and do it well. Clearly, it's not just me because they only have two stars on this platform. When I become a customer of somewhere, I usually stay for years and manage to tip well every time. So this is definitely not on me. I will continue to yelp and tell people about places and businesses so they can have a heads up good or bad. No matter how much I gave this business they just so happened to be bad . I'm sure they'll be a comment under my post from the owner saying how sorry they were and how they didn't want to service me because I was unhappy, but that's no reason to turn anyone away, especially in the manner that the manager did it. read more

It's been a few days since my pedicure and my big toe is still throbbing. The nail tech who did my nails cut the nail down so short, and trimmed the cuticle so close that it was bleeding. I was wincing and told her it hurt, and she responded "yes yes" and put my foot into the water. Not only did she literally injury me days before my brothers wedding, but she didn't even say hello or ask if I wanted a drink. This was my first time to this establishment. I was in need of a pedicure and this place was recommended by a friend. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. I was greeted almost immediately with a smile. I arrived early for my appointment and was advised to check in and pick my color. My service started right away. Chan was so nice and we spoke about several topics. They were not crowded and she took her time with my pedicure. Her attention to detail was appreciated. I am so glad I chose the signature pedicure. This is my second time here and both times I've had a fantastic experience. I always get a gel mani and pedi. It is on my more exp side but it's worth it. They have such a large range of colors. This was not a great experience, AT ALL! The nail tech (Laticia) was very short, uncommunicative, and rude! Instead of communicating what she wanted me to do throughout the process, she would tug on and pull my hands, or confrontationally ask me why my fingers are tense all of the sudden, then go back to listening to her EarPods, disappearing and randomly coming back, or taking phone calls during my service (all of which would have been OK if there was more communication from the start to the finish)! On top of that when she applied and filed my tips, I let her know that one of them was not in the almond shape, as I had originally requested, but rather a claw! I deal with children under two so this is a no go, and she rudely asked "what she was supposed to do about it." To that I replied "fix it how I originally requested", in a nice but short manner! Had I been smart, I would've requested her to take off the tips and just left, but I tried to be nice and pull through. I got nails done yesterday (dip with tips) and two are already broken (now three after putting on a SHOE). I was also charged for cutting the long tips to a reasonable length and filing my nails... none of which is clearly communicated on their menu (to be honest I personally think is ridiculous, but I paid it all the same!) It was a very uncomfortable experience and it seems like the tech was having a bad day even before she started my nails. The only reason I continue to give her a tip was because I was hoping that would lighten her mood for the next individual she had to come in contact with, and for the service which I convinced myself looked good when I left, only to find out the next day three nails would already be broken. I would not recommend this spot to anybody , or at least that nail technician, especially if that's the quality of her work! I now have a terrible toenail fungus infection that will take a year and medicine that costs $100 a month to clear up-$1200! I got a pedicure this afternoon. I wrote down the kind of pedicure I was getting and I also told the employee who walked me over to the chair. Nobody explained to me what was happening but eventually another employee came over and began doing my pedicure. Part way through I had to tell her she was doing services that I didn't ask for. She was very upset and said I should've told her. I had already told the other woman and the gentleman I signed in with. She didn't speak to me the rest of the service then she walked away without saying where I should go for my feet to dry or even saying goodbye, Just left me sitting in the chair. Met up with 2 friends on a Saturday afternoon for pedicures. They weren't terribly busy and there was no wait. We were able to get 3 chairs next to each other, no problem. I believe I got the Pure Serenity pedicure, which came with a glass of wine. It was a pretty standard pedicure. The chair worked fine, the mud mask was a little thin, leg massage was just ok. My tech was nice and switched out my polish quickly when we found my original color choice to be too thin. Nothing to write home about. The shop itself appeared pretty clean but is showing signs of wear. There are cabinets missing doors, chipped finishings, etc. I didn't love the polish selection, but there was a variety. Had my nails done twice in the last 2 months when I ask for a manicure the nail tech removed my polish and I had nail fungus it was appallingl This nail tech was the one I had last seen he swore he wasn't responsible He tried to convince me it was my fault. I went for a pedicure with my sister and they were very efficient in getting us seated and doing our pedi's. The quality of my pedicure was not great, the technician spent the entire time giggling with a co-worker and speaking in their language and I'm fairly certain they were making jokes about us. I watched as all of the technicians pulled out their nail file and clippers and could immediately see that they were not sterilizing them between customers. Thankfully I only did a polish change because that is. It sanitary AT ALL. As for the salon itself, it is somewhat run down, the pedicure chair I sat in was so worn in places you could see the stuffing coming through the chair. I went to use the bathroom and turned right around, it was flat out gross and not maintained. The grout was stained, there was a towel shoved behind the toilet to keep it from leaking as the towel looked soaked. Save your money and go to a nice clean salon. read more

Probably the worst nail experience I've ever had with the worst pricing. I came with my bridal party, BIG MISTAKE. Personally, my manicure was done by a very grumpy gentleman who didn't bother with my cuticles or with moisturizing my hands afterwards. I was left with having to have my nails air dry, which has never been my experience. The result has been an uneven manicure. My pedicure has not lasted beyond 48hours which is extremely unusual for me as pedicures usually last weeks. The extra money I spent on getting my callouses taken care of has made my feet SO BAD, the nail polish (which I let dry for over 24h in flip flops or just no shoes) was ruined the next day just by wearing closed toes shoes for a day. Tried to give this place another try and went for a gel pedicure. I selected the Pure Serenity Pedicure and I loved the mud mask! DeeDee also gave an excellent leg massage. The pedicure was actually good. The issue was the polish. It's an additional $20 for gel polish, but it lasts. Or at least it's suppose to. 3 days after my service half of the polish just chipped off one of my toes. I went back and they said she we would fix it free of charge. Her fix? Slap a coat of polish over the half of my toe that still had polish and the bare area! She then put the top coat on every toe on that foot. I had white polish and for some reason there is a yellow tint. The icing on the cake was another toe, on the same foot, chipping the next day! My gel pedicure usually lasts 3 weeks not 3 days. My sister and I decided to get birthday pedicures. We arrived around 5:30 and were told there were no available techs to service us. We left our name and number and went shopping at a nearby store.. They called us 20 minutes later to return. The shop is quite large, well-lit, and modern. The pedicure chairs are in good repair and they even recline! The music selection is Top 40, but played softly enough to both enjoy or ignore. The selection of gel colors is mind-boggling! Our techs were friendly and knew when to give us time to interact with each other. There seemed to be a bit of tension between two of the techs, but they were professional enough not to make us too uncomfortable. There is an option to order a cocktail from the menu with a pedicure upgrade. It's worth the money to upgrade, as you get the massage, softening treatments, and a cocktail that is large and boozy enough to relax without being light-headed. My manicurist was very rude and off putting. She wore the name tag Nancy,. She buffed my and filed my skin below my cuticles well onto my toes she was lifting and dropping my feet for the $50 pedicure to the point you could hear an audible thud. She didn't even bother shaping my toenails. For my manicure it was just as abrasive and not at all professional. She did not correct her mistakes and tried to finish the manicure with polish all around my nail beds and on my cuticles. When she finished she pushed my hands (not exaggerating on the force used) and walked out. I kept my composure but will never be back, which I believe was the point. My experience at this salon was AWFUL. I got a gel manicure and from start to finish, the customer service was terrible. I had an appointment scheduled in advance and the manicurist took 10 minutes with me, didn't complete the edges of my nails and I walked away with several bloody fingers. This has been my go to location for pedis. Was going to Anthony Vince in Crocker before Zen opened in Pinecrest. This is right down the street and until this week I had always had pretty good service. I am not one to say anything is because of race but there could be no other reason than profiling me as someone that would walk out without paying. Dang provided my service and before he finished asked for payment. I dismissed him in the onset of the question because I ALWAYS pay at the counter. Tina did my nails, and she really is a perfectionist! She ensured my nails were perfect and paid attention to the smallest details. She was really friendly and made us feel welcome. The service I got was dipping powder, and it's healthier for your nails compared to acrylics. Tina did an outstanding job and painted some adorable daisies on my nails, which are my favorite flowers.
