I hope I'll never get any more gift Groupon to get a massage from this place. I was drenched with low grade oil and it wasn't a massage but just a slathering the oil all over, no pressure whatsoever. She was on my right side most often, I counted 6 strokes on the left arm, the right side was about 27. She kept on stroking my hair and just stroke with that oil and touched my face twice. I had to shower right away when I got home. The lady that I got did not have the skills. The worst part of is they harass you asking for tips. The lady offered me a little cut of water and then want to be tipped. Tips are given for good service, it has to be earned. If the workers will not get the proper training, I believe this place will not last. read more

There is a male masseuse here that will traumatize you. I don't know if he hates women or he hates his job, but he takes it out on you. He's very inappropriate and does very strange things like he didn't go to Massage school. Why are you twirling my hair between your hands and knotting it? Why are you rubbing my face and your fingers are on my lips. Why did I have a towel being rubbed on top of my underwear in a place where he shouldn't have been? Why did I ask you several times to stop because it was hurting and it should've been obvious to anybody paying attention or trained that I was writhing in pain. How could you be such a moron that when I said enough and started cursing you acted like everything was normal. Why is the business owner enabling this man to abuse women. You watched me run out and you came out to the car and you saw me out there, clearly shaking, and upset. You made excuses for masseuse and said he was reprimanded. That's not enough. Why are you not paying attention to your ratings falling and multiple women saying that this man was inappropriate. read more

I came to do a couples massage with my friend & upon arrival, we immediately found parking. The inside of the place was very clean & welcoming. Owen was very kind upon arrival & made sure to help us with our Groupon. Make sure you're not loud coming in because the rooms are separated by sheets, not doors, so be respectful for those who are already there. The room for the couples room was huge, so it didn't feel super stuffy being in there. Lily was my masseuse while Owen was my friend's masseuse. The massage itself was by far the best massage I've gotten in years. Lily asked if the pressure was okay & she used hot stones as well. She did massage my face a little bit when I flipped over, so don't make the mistake of wearing makeup when you come here haha. All in all, I will definitely come back here to get another massage & I highly recommend going to either Lily or Owen! We had a wonderful time. read more

4.5 stars! Small, but tranquil business. The entrance had a ramp. When you immediately enter, there is a small seating area to the right and check in to the left. There is 1 bathroom available. There were no strong scents or incense and lighting was mostly low. Pros: - the massage was amazing - for 50 minutes they did back, legs, arms, hands, head, and hot stones! - we found a Groupon deal for a couples massage and had no issues using it - they were able to get us in the same day we called - plenty of parking Cons: - very small/tight room so you could feel when the masseuse squeezed between the tables - my masseuse was not there when the massage started, so the print desk masseuse started my massage and they switched about 10 mins in read more

The massage itself was just ok, but they're getting 1 star for overall experience and ending our sessions shorter than what we paid for. I think the massage artists didn't realize I speak Chinese and could understand what they were saying. For starters, my massage artist didn't ask me for what pressure or areas I'd like to focus on. He just got started. I don't think he could speak English at all since the female employee (front desk worker) did the translations. I was very, very turned off by my massage artist. We were over 15+ minutes into the massage at the time and he was working on my neck, I asked if he could please increase his pressure, which the woman translated for me. He then replies, annoyed "I haven't even started yet!" I assume he meant he was warming up my body before the massage. Well, after the "warm up" he pressed on the side of my neck very, very hard to the point where it was genuine pain. Like he was punishing me for asking for more pressure??? I said "ow less pressure" and he and the female massage artists LAUGHED at me. Making fun of me for asking for more pressure?? I didn't ask for anything else because of this unprofessionalism. They knew what I meant when I asked for more pressure overall but chose to misunderstand and hurt me instead. Did I mention that they also started our appointment 30 minutes late, even though we arrived 5 minutes early for a scheduled appointment? And when we started the massage, I could already tell the guy wanted to get the heck out of there ASAP? He muttered, multiple times, "what time is it?" "stop upselling, we have no time..."etc. They took 2 walk ins before they took us in because we were waiting for the couples room. My assumption is they upsold services to that couple without thinking about their upcoming, pre-scheduled appointment. That's not a good way to run a business. During the massage the woman upsold us on cupping, $20 each for 10 extra minutes. We booked a 50 minute massage, so my assumption would be that our full service would be 60 minutes because we added $20. Esp when she said the service would add ten mins, naturally I think most people would have my assumption. Nope, they ended five minutes early because they were rushing us out. This is taking the time away from our massages to grab the equipment and do the actual cupping. So we got even less than 50 minutes total. Why is it our fault you were running 30 minutes late? You made us wait 30 minutes and then rushed us out 15+ minutes early. read more

My partner and I came here for a couples massage to relieve all our aches and pains a few days ago. And boy, it was night and day from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. I highly recommend anyone check them out and try them out if you are in midtown and need to de-stress or are visiting out of town. I posted a photo of their current pricing as of June 2025, and the service prices are pretty affordable. I know I'll be back again. Pros: -Plenty of parking available. -Friendly Staff -Clean bathroom -Relaxing vibe -Professional massage therapist. -Open communication throughout the massage on how deep, easy, or medium you want is perfect. I preferred a mix of Deep and Medium on my neck/upper neck, and deep on full body massage. Cons: -None Thank you so much. read more

Zen Massage - Current prices as of June 2025. - Massage Near Me - Sacramento, California

The staff here were kind enough to find us a slot for a couples massage the day before on a holiday weekend & even accommodated us coming later than anticipated. We found a Groupon for a discounted price for the couples deluxe 50 min massage and paid an additional 20 bucks to upgrade it to a 60 minute massage. It consisted of a full body (face/scalp included) deep tissue massage with hot stones and oil. I usually don't like how massage places are too gentle but here they are extra firm with the pressure of the massage! To the point where we were both sore the whole next day from how deep the pressure was. Definitely a place with intense pressure if that's what you're into. Super hot stones and towels as well if you're a lover of heat when getting massages :) They were kind enough to reach out when we accidentally left a belonging there by accident! I took 2 stars off because it wasn't as relaxing of an experience as expected. Be ready to leave with your hair a bit frizzy and makeup rubbed off read more

Zen Massage - Outside - Massage Near Me - Sacramento, California

We bought a Groupon to try this spot and finally had time to check it out. I think their availability is pretty limited on weekends. It is nestled in a neighborhood area, so it is in a quaint spot. There was no wait or forms to fill out, which was surprising. We did the couples massage and I thought it was a bit unusual that I had a male massuse while my husband had female, but I went with it. I felt a bit awkward removing my bra, but nothing made me uncomfortable during the massage. I do wish he asked about the pressure or problem areas, but for the price it was unbeatable. read more

I have been to a few spas and this was a random one we happened upon. The price was right so we did the 60 min couples massage. The massage was good and she touched on areas she knew was tight and that had a lot of knots. However, there was aromatic essential oils nor were we given the option of male or female. There were also times she wasn't massaging. We were left in the room for three minutes before they came back with hot towels. Give it a try and see for yourself read more

Another amazing session with Zen. It's refreshing to have a place that maintains a consistent level of quality, knowledge, and professionalism. From being in pain, needing to destress, or injured, this is a place to go. Thank you Zen read more

I visited this location for a deep tissue massage. I left with the same tightness in my back as I arrived with. I have never been doused in so much oil during any massage I have ever experienced. I don't understand how it can be a deep tissue massage if you are extremely slippery because of the crazy amount of oil applied. On top of that, my massage was interrupted by someone from the front entering the room to speak with my massage therapist during my session. The massage therapist was nice enough but I did not enjoy my experience & will not return. read more

We called Zen after seeing it on Groupon. She had us pay the Groupon price instead of going through Groupon--- but actually ended up maybe $10 less the real price. We received the 50 minute hot stone massage . The stones were very hot. Bad part ---Massage was just ok- they did not do any foot massaging for any of us . The hole where you put your face was a little suffocating to me. Im not in Sac often - so I don't think I'd try them again. Maybe should have communicated more on what I wanted. read more

Little massage place tucked in an alley way in midtown. Affordable prices, clean facility and massage was ok. Pressure preference was asked and deep tissue was $10 extra. The hot towel was too hot so I had to ask him to cool it down. Massage tables were heated. Front desk didn't speak English well, but he did a great job at trying to communicate. read more

Helen, is a great massage therapist. She understands the trouble points in the body and gives the right massage therapy. My body is back to functioning normal or better again ever since my leg injury resulted in a chronic-like inflammation. read more

I am beyond angry about my experience here and would strongly urge people, especially women, to stay far away from this place. I booked an appointment the day before, yet when I arrived, the staff acted completely unprepared and seemed shocked that I even had an appointment. They were scrambling to find a room, which was already a huge red flag. Then it got much worse. The man who came in to give the massage was extremely unprofessional and clearly not properly trained. Within minutes, he was touching areas of my body in a way that felt completely inappropriate and unlike any legitimate massage I've ever had. I immediately felt uncomfortable and unsafe. I told him to stop and leave. Instead of respecting that right away, he said "more pressure?" and I had to repeat myself firmly before he finally got out. There was no apology, no concern, and no accountability from anyone afterward. I was never asked if I was comfortable with a male therapist, which I absolutely was not, and that alone is unacceptable. This was not just a bad massage, it was an extremely uncomfortable and upsetting experience. I left feeling shaken and disrespected. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. read more

Great! I went here for a couples massage. We got to be in the same room, laying on tables parallel to each other. Music was very calming, very clean inside, and massage was amazing and just what I needed! Did the deep tissue massage with hot stones as well. I definitely recommend. The masseuse was great and very friendly. The lady who worked as the front was also very kind and sweet. Will be back! read more

Just had the best deep-tissue-hot-stone-massage ever. I didn't catch his name, but he knows just the right pressure to apply. Clean facilities and welcoming personalities. Great prices. I will certainly visit again when in the area. Thank you!! read more

This was a present to myself. I love how easy it was to book. I truly had a deep tissue massage and it was a relaxing environment. The massage with hot rocks was out of this world amazing. My partner and I did the couples massage and all of our pain has been melted away. I also recommend the hot rocks . read more

My partner and I came in last minute because we are both having really bad shoulder and upper back pain. I felt like I couldn't even take a deep breath haha. The owners what great hospitality when we first came in and waited, giving us some water. We then continued with our shoulder massage and it was AMAZING. The older gentleman really got in there and checked in frequently to make sure I was okay with the pressure. I came out of there feeling completely refreshed, like I could stand up straight, and so much pain relief. The owners are excellent at their craft and I will be coming back very soon. Thank you so much for the extremely pleasant and relaxing experience! Love to support a small and amazing business read more

This place is absolutely phenomenal, one of the best massages I have ever received with reasonable pricing. The staff are attentive and listen to your needs. I added on essential oils, cupping, and hot stones and it was life-changing. I would come back here in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, revitalizing and peaceful massage in Sactown. I also slept so well that night due to feeling completely relaxed. One caveat is that parts of the massage were a little uncomfortable but the masseuse listened and adjusted when asked. Don't hesitate to book here! read more

Booked massages for me and my wife probably the last time we come here. I've had better massages in LA. I wouldn't waste your time here. These people begging you for a tip is crazy. Very pushy people I don't recommend this place. Tips are ment for people that do a really good job not added to the payment apparently it's mandatory. Bottom line I've had better if I were you I would go somewhere else. read more

This is an amazing massage place. I have been here multiple times now and they never disappoint:)

I love massages but I haven't found a place and a style that I am used to. I lived in San Jose for a long time and I had my go to spot every time I visited so I didn't have an urgency to find one in sac. I have gone to 5 different spots in sac/ Elk Grove area and this came closest to what I had in San Jose. Let's go into details. Location/ visibility: 5/5 it was easy to find. They have a parking and clear signage as to where it is. It is a small location, kind of like a clinic rather than a massage spot like i was used to. Service: 4/5 I found a Groupon and paid about $100 for a couple massage 50 min with essential oil and hot stone experience. I called the number to confirm a time for an appointment. They open at 9:30 am so it was early on a Sunday when I called. We set our massage at 11:30 am. Before coming in, I asked her if they can do a prenatal massage for me bc I'm 38 weeks pregnant. When we came inside the clinic, again it was a tiny place but clean and they gave private rooms rather than open space. I took my husband with me bc he doesn't get massages since we have a toddler. He always let me go and stay back to watch our daughter but since our friends were willing to watch her today for a few hours, we decided to give it a go. When I came inside and saw the menu of service. I realized oh no what I got on Groupon might not work but the lady kindly accepted it. A prenatal massage is supposed to be 60 min and cost $70 while the essential oil and hot stone experience at 60 mins supposed to cost $70 (around there. She explained to be that $60 =60 mins and you can have add on $10 for essential oil and $10 for hot stone but if you do the 60 min message she'd only charge $5 for the add ons. On top of that you can get the loyalty card. 10 visits of 60 min message will get you a free one.) so basically it would have cost me $140 but since we only use 50mins it would be $130 vs $100 without a 2 loyalty stamps. We did give a $20 cash but I would have given $30. I have to say that the price is more than what I normally pay for at my favorite massage spot in San Jose but being that this location is by east sac I bet the rent is probably expensive. The only reason why I gave this a 4/5 review is bc i noticed that after the full body massage, the nice gentleman who worked on my husband did some head massages. This was great but I personally would have appreciated it more if they start from the head down to the feet and not the neck to the feet and then back to the head. The nice lady who worked on me did step out 4 mins in my massage bc someone had came inside the clinic. A few minutes later she came back. I didn't mind it but to be fair, I should receive an undivided attention. Both staff didn't talk during our session so I really appreciate that. The only time they talked was to check on us if the room temperature was ok, the heat of the stone was ok, the pressure of the massage was ok and where we want to focus on for the session. I truly appreciate that they tailored our session to what we need k. Again this is a huge plus for me which is why I bookmarked this location to come back in the future. My husband also said he'd come back with me. He isn't into massages but he felt very relax after. Thank you to the two staff for the wellness work they gave us today. After I give birth, I'll definitely come back with my husband again. This will be our date activity. Also whoever said the bed, towels smell, that's not true. They smell fine to me and I have a dog's nose bc I'm very OCD and a germaphobic/ critical person my nature. It's usually take a lot to please me and although not everything is 1000% perfect, yes I said 1000 percent, I'm glad to find a spot that I can see myself coming back! One recommendation I have is instead of the loyalty card for 10 visits = 1 free visit. I would have preferred a 5 or 10 purchase upfront and at a certain discounted cost since I know I will come back again. This is more attractive to millennials like me. read more

Bought couples massage on Groupon and we were running a lil late but they took us in anyways. The ambience was nice and the massages felt so good. I'll definitely be back read more

Massage was great, left feeling very relaxed. Clean establishment and staff was very friendly!

If the business doesn't accept the Groupon price in person. Please don't tell clients to come in and pay for it in person then question the client about the price and tell them to pay MORE. Very unprofessional and asking how much you're going to tip before service is also unprofessional. Please improve your customer service in order to better your business. I have had many massages around the world and had never been questioned like this before. There is a pushy lady at the front who does not want to honor Groupon price when you get there but claims she will over the phone when booking. Being questioned and forced to show proof of online price got me out of the mood of wanting a relaxing massage! read more

These ppl are liars and very prejudice... I brought a Groupon massage at 99$ saving only 20$ and because of that they gave me fucked up vibes starting when I tried to make an appointment, I was told they was booked for either of two days I needed they offered me an appointment for 2 weeks away, I waited calling back a few hours later with different number inquiring for a 60 minute massage not telling them I brought a Groupon massage, they gave me a same day appointment and both days I Inquired about was both available ... on top of that they skipped us and put a white couple that walked-in in front of us. And the massage was the worse I've ever experienced. read more

My friend found a Groupon coupon to get massages for my birthday and this was one of the worst massages of my life. We scheduled couples massages in the morning and they hadn't thought to put the heater on inside the building until after we arrived so it was really cold inside, which was unfortunate as my masseue often forgot to recover my body after she "massaged me." I pretty much received a rub down instead of a massage. I do not know the names of the 2 masseues but they talked the entire time they were massaging us. My massage felt very rushed and inauthentic and as you can see my friend rven got burned from the hot stones they placed on her back. Not sure if the quality of the service was not good because of the Groupon but I will never return here again. read more
