I am beyond angry about my experience here and would strongly urge people, especially women, to stay far away from this place. I booked an appointment the day before, yet when I arrived, the staff acted completely unprepared and seemed shocked that I even had an appointment. They were scrambling to find a room, which was already a huge red flag. Then it got much worse. The man who came in to give the massage was extremely unprofessional and clearly not properly trained. Within minutes, he was touching areas of my body in a way that felt completely inappropriate and unlike any legitimate massage I've ever had. I immediately felt uncomfortable and unsafe. I told him to stop and leave. Instead of respecting that right away, he said "more pressure?" and I had to repeat myself firmly before he finally got out. There was no apology, no concern, and no accountability from anyone afterward. I was never asked if I was comfortable with a male therapist, which I absolutely was not, and that alone is unacceptable. I came to do a couples massage with my friend & upon arrival, we immediately found parking. The inside of the place was very clean & welcoming. Owen was very kind upon arrival & made sure to help us with our Groupon. Make sure you're not loud coming in because the rooms are separated by sheets, not doors, so be respectful for those who are already there. The room for the couples room was huge, so it didn't feel super stuffy being in there. Lily was my masseuse while Owen was my friend's masseuse. We bought a Groupon to try this spot and finally had time to check it out. I think their availability is pretty limited on weekends. It is nestled in a neighborhood area, so it is in a quaint spot. There was no wait or forms to fill out, which was surprising. We did the couples massage and I thought it was a bit unusual that I had a male massuse while my husband had female, but I went with it. The massage itself was just ok, but they're getting 1 star for overall experience and ending our sessions shorter than what we paid for. I think the massage artists didn't realize I speak Chinese and could understand what they were saying. For starters, my massage artist didn't ask me for what pressure or areas I'd like to focus on. He just got started. I don't think he could speak English at all since the female employee (front desk worker) did the translations. I was very, very turned off by my massage artist. We were over 15+ minutes into the massage at the time and he was working on my neck, I asked if he could please increase his pressure, which the woman translated for me. He then replies, annoyed "I haven't even started yet!" I assume he meant he was warming up my body before the massage. Well, after the "warm up" he pressed on the side of my neck very, very hard to the point where it was genuine pain. Like he was punishing me for asking for more pressure??? I said "ow less pressure" and he and the female massage artists LAUGHED at me. Making fun of me for asking for more pressure?? I didn't ask for anything else because of this unprofessionalism. They knew what I meant when I asked for more pressure overall but chose to misunderstand and hurt me instead. Did I mention that they also started our appointment 30 minutes late, even though we arrived 5 minutes early for a scheduled appointment? And when we started the massage, I could already tell the guy wanted to get the heck out of there ASAP? He muttered, multiple times, "what time is it?" "stop upselling, we have no time..."etc. They took 2 walk ins before they took us in because we were waiting for the couples room. My assumption is they upsold services to that couple without thinking about their upcoming, pre-scheduled appointment. That's not a good way to run a business. During the massage the woman upsold us on cupping, $20 each for 10 extra minutes. We booked a 50 minute massage, so my assumption would be that our full service would be 60 minutes because we added $20. Esp when she said the service would add ten mins, naturally I think most people would have my assumption. Nope, they ended five minutes early because they were rushing us out. This is taking the time away from our massages to grab the equipment and do the actual cupping. So we got even less than 50 minutes total. Why is it our fault you were running 30 minutes late? You made us wait 30 minutes and then rushed us out 15+ minutes early. read more

The massage was good and she touched on areas she knew was tight and that had a lot of knots. However, there was aromatic essential oils nor were we given the option of male or female. We found a Groupon for a discounted price for the couples deluxe 50 min massage and paid an additional 20 bucks to upgrade it to a 60 minute massage. It consisted of a full body (face/scalp included) deep tissue massage with hot stones and oil. I usually don't like how massage places are too gentle but here they are extra firm with the pressure of the massage! To the point where we were both sore the whole next day from how deep the pressure was. Definitely a place with intense pressure if that's what you're into. I love massages but I haven't found a place and a style that I am used to. I lived in San Jose for a long time and I had my go to spot every time I visited so I didn't have an urgency to find one in sac. I have gone to 5 different spots in sac/ Elk Grove area and this came closest to what I had in San Jose. Let's go into details. Location/ visibility: 5/5 it was easy to find. They have a parking and clear signage as to where it is. It is a small location, kind of like a clinic rather than a massage spot like i was used to. Service: 4/5 I found a Groupon and paid about $100 for a couple massage 50 min with essential oil and hot stone experience. I called the number to confirm a time for an appointment. They open at 9:30 am so it was early on a Sunday when I called. We set our massage at 11:30 am. Before coming in, I asked her if they can do a prenatal massage for me bc I'm 38 weeks pregnant. When we came inside the clinic, again it was a tiny place but clean and they gave private rooms rather than open space. I took my husband with me bc he doesn't get massages since we have a toddler. He always let me go and stay back to watch our daughter but since our friends were willing to watch her today for a few hours, we decided to give it a go. When I came inside and saw the menu of service. I realized oh no what I got on Groupon might not work but the lady kindly accepted it. A prenatal massage is supposed to be 60 min and cost $70 while the essential oil and hot stone experience at 60 mins supposed to cost $70 (around there. She explained to be that $60 =60 mins and you can have add on $10 for essential oil and $10 for hot stone but if you do the 60 min message she'd only charge $5 for the add ons. On top of that you can get the loyalty card. 10 visits of 60 min message will get you a free one.) so basically it would have cost me $140 but since we only use 50mins it would be $130 vs $100 without a 2 loyalty stamps. We did give a $20 cash but I would have given $30. I have to say that the price is more than what I normally pay for at my favorite massage spot in San Jose but being that this location is by east sac I bet the rent is probably expensive. The only reason why I gave this a 4/5 review is bc i noticed that after the full body massage, the nice gentleman who worked on my husband did some head massages. This was great but I personally would have appreciated it more if they start from the head down to the feet and not the neck to the feet and then back to the head. The nice lady who worked on me did step out 4 mins in my massage bc someone had came inside the clinic. A few minutes later she came back. I didn't mind it but to be fair, I should receive an undivided attention. Both staff didn't talk during our session so I really appreciate that. The only time they talked was to check on us if the room temperature was ok, the heat of the stone was ok, the pressure of the massage was ok and where we want to focus on for the session. I truly appreciate that they tailored our session to what we need k. Again this is a huge plus for me which is why I bookmarked this location to come back in the future. My husband also said he'd come back with me. He isn't into massages but he felt very relax after. Thank you to the two staff for the wellness work they gave us today. After I give birth, I'll definitely come back with my husband again. This will be our date activity. Also whoever said the bed, towels smell, that's not true. They smell fine to me and I have a dog's nose bc I'm very OCD and a germaphobic/ critical person my nature. It's usually take a lot to please me and although not everything is 1000% perfect, yes I said 1000 percent, I'm glad to find a spot that I can see myself coming back! One recommendation I have is instead of the loyalty card for 10 visits = 1 free visit. I would have preferred a 5 or 10 purchase upfront and at a certain discounted cost since I know I will come back again. This is more attractive to millennials like me. read more

I was really disappointed in the service I received when I went this last weekend. I went in due to stress and I did not leave feeling relaxed. During my massage, my masseuse left the room many times and each time opened and closed the door very loudly. I did not mind her leaving the room, but the disruption of her coming in and out plus the number of times that she dropped things or made loud noises did not create a peaceful environment. The massage itself was okay. I did not leave feeling any better and there were many times that it was painful, but I understand that that can happen especially when you have a lot of tension. The part that frustrated me the most was that when I was checking out to leave a tip, my masseuse was extremely rude and overbearing. She stood next to me as I was paying and said I was being "cheap" when the amount I wanted to tip did not meet her expectations.
