Was on this side of town and decided it was finally a great time to try out Zen Dumpling. There was a wait so we put our name in the system and it texted us that our table was ready almost 30 minutes later. We sat down immediately after. The place is small but still a really relaxing vibe. The hostess and the server were really nice and you could tell they were trying to turn tables over but not in the way that you felt rushed. I found it more efficient actually. She was really knowledgeable and helped us out with the menu even though we're familiar with the style of ordering. The food came out in batches as expected and most were good some lacking a bit of flavor. As someone who loves this style of food it still scratched the itch that I had for it! I would definitely return and would love to try out their noodles as we missed them this time.

This was such a cool place to try and enjoy home-made dumplings. They have a good selection and different options to eat so our party of 7 was able to pick whatever each person wanted The soup noodles were delicious, the noodle dishes hit the spot as well as the edamame. I loved their decor and ambience, very peaceful and perfectly themed. The waitress was very sweet and able to answer all of our questions. Keep in mind there's usually a wait, so try to either make a reservation or get in line with enough time. Also the bag to take your leftovers home is adorable!

THIS PLACE IS SOOOOOO FIRE!!! Worth the wait, worth the almost not getting a table because we missed our first reservation, worth standing in the corner with puppy dog eyes for 30 min hoping they would seat us before they close. It's actually a problem how OBSESSED I am because this is right by my job. My friend and I shared some chicken soup dumplings 10/10. I ordered the beef pancake roll which is DELICIOUS. My friend ordered the general tso chicken and MY GAWD I swear I am not overhyping this...it was FIRE. We spent a little over 40 for all that food & we both had leftovers. Super cute spot conveniently located in Waterford Plaza and super nice servers and staff! Thanks! Dreaming of the next time.

This place is overhyped. I've had soup dumplings and pan-fried dumplings elsewhere that tasted better. The chicken and beef soup dumplings were mediocre and needed the chili oil to be better, especially the chicken ones. The beef pan-fried dumplings made me feel ill; not only were they pretty greasy, but they also lacked flavor. The shrimp fried rice was nothing special. Choosing corn and onion as the only ingredients in the fried rice was interesting, but it wasn't bad. Do I think it's worth the wait when the wait times get up to an hour? No. There are so many other Asian spots with dumplings elsewhere.

Do you enjoy steamed buns bursting in your mouth? I do!! And I think you will too. Zen Dumplings is known for their delicate steamed buns filled with seasoned meats or seafood in a rich savory broth. The best way to eat them is to nibble a tiny bit off the tip to let the steam out, slowly sip out the broth and then swallow. That way you don't burn your tongue. Zen dumpling has a variety of fillings to choose from. My personal favorite is the Truffle Pork. They also have the signature XLB sampler so you can try different flavors in fun colors. Ordering is easy too. They give you a checklist to order from and you just place a check mark next to the item you want and how many you want. They also have other things on the menu as well if dumplings aren't your thing. The Mongolian beef here is excellent! The spicy cucumbers are nice and crisp and the scallion pancakes are to die for. They do get busy here so you may have to wait for a table. If so, they will text you when your table is ready. So during this time you can do some shopping just around the corner or check out a pastry shop next door.

Yep, get on the wait list as soon as you can. 7 tables ahead of me on a Thursday night and not dependent on the party size. Wish they had a wait list on Yelp to just hit the button to join or a walk up bar to take walk-ins. There's a perfect spot to put up a noodle bar section in front of the big window to make it a show while you eat or the bar counter for walk ins to get some people in right away but this isn't set up like how I've seen other efficient places. I do like however their wait list tells you how long you actually waited but once you are seated that number goes away but they also send texts. So yeah, it took about 50 minutes to get seated here, wow, I even arrived when it said the table was ready and I still had to wait a lil for people to leave and to clear up the spot. Luckily, I was surrounded by other places to occupy me during the wait. I was starving by the time sat down and ordered a bunch, nothing came out fast and everything came out all at the same time - not ideal for my starving self I had to get the 6 dumplings sampler today and u need to ask... what is the best dumpling? I'm not a pork eater but I wanted to try all 6 to see which was the best for me so I did it for Yelp's sake: 6/10 - shrimp & pork, chicken 7/10 - pork, crab & pork, beef 10/10 - truffle pork Also tried the Zen chow beef, celery and bead curd salad and stir fry noodles with chicken I asked what is the closest to a chow fun noodle and the stir fry noodles was the 1 recommended. It was nothing like it. He did describe as fettuccine and it was just that. It was decent enough and an ample amount of food so I enjoyed that the most out of the 3 Zen chow beef was served cold and didn't know it was supposed to. Was not what I expected and was better when heated through with the stir fry noodles Celery & bean curd salad was just not it for me. A bit bland and uninteresting. It got better when adding vinegar, hot sauce and soy sauce from the table condiments Wished they had a nice vege or truffle with vege dumpling or made the truffle one with chicken to accommodate non-pork eating folks alone with bar seating. The soup dumplings is a fun concept but it wasn't the best for it. Still nice there's a dumpling place around Orlando though

What an awesome restaurant. I visited here for date night. There was about a 30 minute wait and they texted me when the table was ready. The decor of the restaurant very much embodies the name. It gives all the zen vibes. I love that you can see through the glass the chefs making the soup dumplings. The service was spectacular. We were walked through the menu and everything was thoroughly explained. I started with a glass of the house pinot grigio which was crisp. We ordered several things so we could try an assortment of menu options. The beef pancake roll was yummy. The sampler of the soup dumplings is the way to go. It gives you option to try 6 flavors. My favorites were pork and chicken. They were so fresh and beyond flavorful. Also, we ordered the Mongolian Beef plate that comes over rice. So much meat and very good. The bao bites were yummy. This was more than enough food for 2 people plus plenty of leftovers. I thought the whole experience of dinner was fantastic.

I finally checked out Zen Dumpling in Waterford Lakes. When you first walk in there's a kiosk where you can join the waitlist. The estimated time was around 20-25 min and we got seated fairly quickly. A few minutes later the wait time increased to 45 min, luck was on our side. We ordered soup dumplings to start and for entrees we got the noodles and fried rice to share. The soup dumplings were delicious and even more with the sauce. The noodles were tasty but the rice was okay. Everything came out fairly quickly. I'm definitely coming back to enjoy other items. I liked the experience and the place, it was pretty chill.

I will agree as many have already stated that we needed a spot like this in Waterford Lakes to cut through the ho-hum chain restaurants and bring some mom n pop goodness into our lives. I love that you can see the people making the dumplings through the glass pane, reminds me of the dumpling places in Montreal. They've got a solid variety of dumplings, and other dishes. I kind of wish they had more soups other than just the hot and sour soup, which was very good; wish it would come with fried wontons on the side or crunchy noodles to top it off with. You can actually ask for the crunchy noodles as I did but they don't bring it with the soup automatically. Food was good, service was good, dishes come out fast. All in all, nice addition to the Waterford Lakes area.

Grabbed lunch with a friend here and I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a quick and easy spot for xiao long baos! There was no wait for a table and our server was also really quick to tend to us. We were able to order and our food came out shortly after. Our cucumber salad had a good spice to them and the karaage was pretty juicy. Although, I wish there was a bit more soup and seasoning in the XLBs, they were still good. Overall, I'd come back try more of their menu.

Zen Dumpling in Waterford Lakes is one of those places I keep coming back to. I've been multiple times, and the only time I didn't have to wait was when I got there right when they opened, so definitely expect a line. Luckily, there's a fun bakery with teas next door, so I usually pop in there and grab something for later while I wait. Inside, it's super cute, and I love that there's a window where you can watch them preparing the dumplings. They also have a QR code that lets you see photos of all the menu items, which I personally love. Ordering is easy too, they give you a paper menu where you mark off what you want, and they bring dishes out as they're ready. I've tried a lot here, and there are a few things I consider must-orders every time. The chicken karaage is always delicious, and I love the sauce it comes with, it's simple, but so good. My favorite soup dumplings are the pork soup dumplings, and the beef pancake roll is another standout. Other dishes I've had and would happily order again are the cabbage and pork dumplings, chili wontons, Mongolian beef, beef pan-fried dumplings, sweet and sour baby rib, and the pan-fried bao bites. The only thing I wasn't impressed by was the fried rice, which I thought lacked flavor the one time I tried it. They also have chili crisp, black vinegar and soy sauce on each table, and will bring you some fresh ginger in a bowl that you can combine with ingredients on the table to make a dumpling sauce. Portions are good and definitely shareable, service has always been great, and the prices are pretty decent for how much food you get. Overall, this is a spot I come back to a lot, and for good reason

Been wanting to try out this place a for a while and finally made it happen. Came here on a Sunday night at 6pm and we were quoted 20-30 minutes on the waitlist, ended up being closer to 40 minutes. Small space so probably to be expected to have to wait a bit Both Xiao long bao's we ordered (truffle and pork) were delicious. The zen chili wontons were a hit too. The braised beef noodle soup was lacking in beef, and the stir fried chicken noodle was a bit bland for my liking but would definitely return for the XLB during a weekday lunch so the wait isn't as bad. Service and vibes were A plus, and the clear window to watch them make the XLB is a nice touch too.

Definitely a happening place, for good reason

A friend raved about this place, so we went together. Overall, I'd say she's right. Most of the things we ordered were awesome. I loved the Dan Dan Noodles. They were too spicy for my friend, though. The Stir-fried Green Beans and the Braised Pork Belly Buns are also delicious. The Signature Boa Steam is good, as well. However, by comparison, the Chicken & Mushroom Steamed Dumplings weren't anything special. I wouldn't order those again. My favorite among the soup dumplings is the truffle pork. Our service was okay. My friend prefers a different server, whom she had in the past. He was there and we could definitely see the difference in how he engaged with the guests. We had to ask for an explanation of the Signature Xlb Sampler. It was dropped off without one, so we asked the nearest available employee afterward. The interior is modern. Wish it was a bit bigger. The owner is sweet and definitely cares about the patrons. It gets busy here, so plan accordingly. I'll definitely be back, as I'm still learning what's best on the menu.

The beef with broccoli? Tender, flavorful, and bathed in rich umami goodness. Honestly, if I could bottle that sauce, I'd put it on everything--maybe even my cereal (don't judge). I then told her it's because Kai Kai owners left Kai Kai and sold it maybe to another owner but they no longer run Kai Kai. So as the conversation passes she told me - The Crispy pork they cook there is NOT ROASTED but FRIED. It was brought up because i was telling her a few people have said kai kai fell off as far as taste in the bbq / meats. So then I said yes the skin part is not crispy like how you guys do it. So she mentioned she wondered why they have been busy with Chinese BBQ meats as of lately. I ordered the $4.95 boba smoothie (mango) as a refresher because it is hot outside - For the price it is not bad I think they use mango puree as the base. The dishes here are delicious. This is why I keep coming back.

Red Roast pork soup is quite the comfort food. I've enjoyed this soup for many years. Tasty Wok…read moreis an institution! I order this soup with shrimp dumplings. Each time I order it, they tell me that shrimp dumplings are extra. They are very much worth it, by the way! The noodles in this soup are egg noodles. The tender bite draws you back. The chinese spinach is nourishing and offers iron to give you strength. The crispy pork is amazing. But it is really crunchy. At this restaurant they sell it by the pound, right along side the hanging duck which is by the pound as well. They sell so many dishes that are well-loved, but I tend to get the soup. It's so nourishing and flavorful. Top tip for parking...you can park in the back, but there are many restaurants on the same aisle so you sometimes have to wait for people to leave.

Every visit here feels cozy, flavorful, and perfect for gathering with family and friends. Let's talk about the broth because that's the real star. My absolute go-to (and forever favorite) is the Tom Yum broth -- it's rich, aromatic, and packed with that perfect balance of sour, spicy, and savory. I love customizing it the way I grew up enjoying Thai hot pot by adding extra mushrooms, tomatoes, chili peppers, cilantro, green onions, garlic, and a squeeze of lime juice. The flavor becomes even brighter and so comforting -- seriously next level. The ingredient selection is another huge win. There's a great variety of seafood, different meats, and an abundance of fresh veggies, so you can really build your bowl exactly how you want it. Everything tastes fresh and the portions are generous, making it one of the best hot pot experiences in Orlando by far. Friendly staffs. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, which makes it perfect for both small dinners and bigger group hangouts. I love coming here with my family and friends -- it's the kind of place where you can slow down, cook together, and just enjoy the moment. Hot pot just hits differently during the cooler season, but honestly... in Florida weather, it's good any time of year. Juicy Pot is always a place I'll come back to whenever I get the chance. If you're looking for a flavorful, comforting, and consistently satisfying hot pot spot, this one is definitely worth checking out.
