This lead to my speedometer not reading accurately and the tires getting some rub. After determining the correct size my husband decided he really wanted Firestone tires. Our local tire shop doesn't carry Firestone so we opted to try Michel Tires Plus in Louisville. The process went quite smooth. My husband ordered the tires and set an appointment for the following week to have the tires installed and balanced. The business also does an inspection at the same time for brake wear and several other mechanical functions. On the day we dropped the car off the tire shop kept in touch with a slight delay in when the vehicle would be ready. (Only about an hour later than had been originally indicated). We are happy as can be with the new tires and how the car drives. We also were happy with the price and the savings we got by getting their charge card. I would have given the business five stars but they indicated we would be needing a new battery in the near future. Based on that information my husband ordered a battery from an auto shop and then did some checking. It turns out we didn't need a battery at all so my husband had to cancel the battery he had ordered. Although you only need so many tires I can imagine that we would give Michel Tires Plus repeat business.

They noticed that my back tire was wobbly (not the official phrasing but the gist) -- something they could not repair and that I should not drive on. I called a mechanic close to Costco, who kind of shrugged me off because they couldn't get me in that day. I then called ImportDoktor (should have been my first call!). They also didn't have availability but told me how they could tow it to their shop for $125 and get on it in the morning. They were so friendly and helpful that I went with them. From there, they were great about communicating with me, sending me quotes via text. They were able to finish it the next day and left my car ready for me to pick up. As much of a headache as this experience was, ImportDoktor made it as smooth as it could be. Now my car doesn't make the same worrisome noises that it was before. This is such a trustworthy spot to take your cars. Great customer service and repairs all the way around!

We had AC issues with water in the floorboards. We were initially told it would be a quick repair and they would only need it a day or so. They called and told use it was a seal and that it would cost between $500-750 to repair. Three days later they still haven't repaired the car and now say there might be other issues with the AC. I told them to put it back together and do not repair it and we wanted the car back. They were angry but I felt something was not right about the entire thing. We searched for months afterwards and came across Smith's Imported Car Service. Arranged a day to drop it off. Four hours after dropping it off they call and tell us it's ready and it will be $80 which included them replacing the battery in the key fob! Don't get ripped of or treated badly.....simply go to Smith's Imported Car Service and save yourself time and money!!!!!! We will be back there for all our service needs!

I called and talked to him and he suggested that I drive it back up there and let him check it out for an additional charge. I had already paid 1000 over what was told to me ( without asking first) for other things that needed to be changed out and 1 part was changed out ( supposedly) but was definitely not a new one that I supposedly paid for. After paying a total of $1,711.84, the problem always returned within days (3 days, then 14 days, then less than 24 hours). They also lied about dates and claimed the car came in for "three different problems," which is completely false -- it was the same issue every time. Their invoices lacked detail, and they ignored the written list of symptoms I left in the car. The second shop I went to finally fixed the issue and provided detailed notes showing what should have been done the first time. When I filed a complaint, Jay Barker's Auto Repair even claimed they "did not know" I was having these issues, which makes no sense since their own receipts list "Engine Power Reduced." After three failed repairs and misleading statements, I refused to return -- three strikes and you're out.
