The first time I used them, I had two upper control arms and ball joints installed on my F-150. Within a week, **both ball joints failed and started leaking grease.** I brought the truck back, and they blamed faulty parts and replaced them. I chalked it up to a one-time issue and moved on.
The second time, I had them install a brake kit on my truck that I had supplied. As I drove away, I heard a loud metal banging noise. When I checked, I found that the caliper covers on two wheels had not been properly secured and were sticking out into the back of the rims. When I called, they told me the bolts weren't going back in properly and that they had simply forgotten to mention it. I ended up removing all four wheels and taking off the $200 caliper covers, which had been damaged. Again, I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
Unfortunately, the third experience was the last straw.
I took another brake kit to them to install on my fiancée's Jeep. The brakes squeaked terribly, so we brought it back. They told us everything was fine and blamed the noise on cheap brake pads. I purchased another set of pads they recommended, and they offered to install them at "half price." Instead, I decided to do the job myself.
While removing the brake pads they had just installed, I discovered that the noise-reducing plates were missing from several of the pads. These are there for a reason, and the inconsistency from one wheel to another was concerning. I took the pads back and showed the owner exactly what I had found.
Rather than taking responsibility, the owner made excuse after excuse. His explanations kept changing and contradicting one another. Eventually, he tried to justify removing some of the plates by claiming it was a safety issue. The explanation made little sense, especially considering how inconsistently the plates had been installed across all four wheels.
At this point, I've had **three separate repair experiences, and all three resulted in problems with the work performed.** I've spent money on parts, paid them $300 to install the first brake set, purchased a second set of pads, and ultimately had to go back and correct their work myself. Not once did they offer a refund or any meaningful resolution.
Everyone makes mistakes, but three separate incidents are a pattern, and how a business handles those mistakes says a lot. Unfortunately, my experience with Faulkenburg Automotive has been just as disappointing when it comes to accountability as it has been with the quality of their work.
**I will never take another vehicle to Faulkenburg Automotive, and based on my experience, I cannot recommend them to anyone.**
