I just wanted to let you know what great service I received from this shope! I had tire pressure issues, my warning lights kept coming on, and the people at this store performed a through serviceing taking each tire off and testing them for leaks. I went in today to get my tire fixed (had a nail in it). They were very quick at repairing my tire so I give them 5 stars for that. When I got home I noticed that my tools to replace my tire were missing. The compartment door where they are stored was taken off. When I arrived to this location everything was in the compartment and the door was closed. So it appears someone took them. 0 stars for that. read more

I appreciated being able to make an appointment online and chose to go in the following morning when they opened at 7:30 AM so that I could go about my day. They are so professional and very honest. I was told I needed 2 new batteries by a dealership and quoted $900. I called here and their quote was almost $350 less. Then I got here, and they tested the batteries and said they were both good. I cannot say enough how impressed I am with the service here. We were traveling through the area when we heard a rhythmic thumping noise as we were driving our car. The Google Mechanic did not give an encouraging prognosis, which made us feel like it was important to get it checked out. Another local business referred us to Big O. We called ahead and they said they could check it out. Dan rode in the car with us and located the issue, fixed it, and we were back in the road in a half hour. After receiving a rattling, fatherly lecture from my dad about the dangers of driving on bald tires, I knew it was time. I was to be driving to Wisconsin within a day, so I really didn't think there was a way to get tires before my trip. On the contrary.   Two years ago, after calling everyone and their brother (other tire stores, big box stores, warehouse stores, etc.); Big O offered the best pricing for four tires for my vehicle.  Remembering this, I called Big O again; without hesitation, without a million calls this time, and without any trepidation of being scammed on prices.  I explained my scenario and they said to come in this morning and they could get me in and out fairly quickly.   I arrived around 8:20am and was leaving around 9:30am with four new tires, new lug nuts, and an oil change.  I now feel confident driving to Wisconsin without fear of the dangers of bad tires.  The customer service is perfect, everyone is super helpful and kind.  I highly recommend Big O tires and will come back here for all of my tire needs. read more

Idiots don't know the difference between Wheel Bearings and Ball Joints... or they were trying to make a quick buck off of a woman who they assumed didn't know any better.... I was in town one day when my truck started making a popping sound when I turned left into a parking spot. I had time to kill and since I was an hour from home I figured I would pull in and have Big O check it out and be sure it was nothing major...... they said it was the right front Ball joint and a rearward bushing... which I had literally just replaced less than 6 months ago..... ended up driving home and told my husband who said that's bull****... after further inspection there's NOTHING wrong with the Ball Joints or bushings. They are tight and work as they should. There is NO play in them at all.... However. It does have a bad Wheel Bearing which they didn't catch at all.... beware the idiots.... read more

Took my vehicle initially elsewhere and had issues with tpms after tires were installed. Took back and the initial retailer twice and they could not figure out. Went to Big O who ran a scan on the vehicle as soon as I got there and reset the computer. In and out in about five minutes and didn't charge me a penny. What more do I need to say. I have been a customer here for years. No more. I have had to take my tires in 15 times for leaks. They have replaced valve stems 9 times. SAME 4 tires! This most recent time I had to have all 4 tires looked at for leaks. They 'repaired' whatever...seal who knows. I left for vacation and after 1 week of being in the garage a tire had another leak. SO I took it in, again for the 15th time. I was told I needed a new valve stem! I asked why it was not found 2 weeks ago when I was in for leaks, "I have no idea. I couldn't tell ya." I will never ever buy tires here again. Never. I had sucked up their exorbitant prices in years past because of the service I USED to get. Now there is no reason to go here. read more

I was trying to find a place to get my oil changed the day before Thanksgiving. Went to a "fast" location that wanted almost a hundred dollars, so I left and called Big O. Had a wonderful experience with the location in Valley Station area of Louisville, so I called the New Albany location. They said they would be happy to get my oil change taken care of, if I didn't mind waiting a little bit. They told me to bring it on in. Waited about an hour, and this was with a full house. They were so kind and attentive, and even found a discount offer while I was checking out. Will definitely visit this location again when I need oil changes or new tires! read more

A lot of people put off buying tires or buy the cheapest slabs of rubber that they can find. I'm a little more picky, having spent hours on tracks pushing them to their limits and know that tires are one of, if not THE most important components for both performance and safety. That's why I spent several hours researching what kind of tires would be the best fit for my style of driving within my budget. Luckily for me, Big O Tires has widest selection of tires in the area. On top of that, the State Street location is extremely close to their central warehouse, so anything that you request that is in stock can be had on very short notice. The service was quick and correct. I didn't have any problems with odd pressures, misalignment, or other nonsense that happens at less experienced shops. All of the employees seemed genuinely happy to work there and were pleasant to chat with, which was particularly helpful since I was new to the area at the time. I went to get an oil change unbeknownst to me I had an oil leak they done the change and tired to sell me some used tires and put in my slip massive oil leak. I went to another mechanic within 3 days it was a pressure oil sensor that was next to the filter they put on it was a easy fix inexpensive, this place could have looked into it and I could of taken care of while I was there they don't give a dam! read more

Service was awful. I had a 9 o'clock appointment to get a nail fixed in my tire. Was told I would have to wait because others were there before me (which didn't have appointments). Watched them fix the tire in probably 15 minutes. Sat there for another 20, walked up to the counter, they said they were catching up on paperwork. Checked again in another 20, still no paperwork on my car. Checked again 30 min later, I got a little rude, but I think it was called for at this point. Talked to someone different who said my car wasn't even worked on yet, I had to tell him I saw them take it in and out of the service bay. They found the paperwork after waiting almost an hour and a half and It was marked called... they never called me AND I was literally in the waiting room. Then the guy checking me out had the never to get an attitude with me when I had a coupon off of their website for the free flat fix. BEWARE BEWARE went to big o on state st new albany to have a flat fix. after fixing the flat salesman said they inspected my front brake stating that they need to repair and that they were very very thin pads and it might be dangerous to drive. gave me a estimate of $438. after checking my records finding these pads had less then 19k miles wear. took auto to my mechanic --- he check pads finding they had LESS than 50% wear. this is the second time i caught them lying. I have been going to big o tire in new Albany Indiana for about one year. They always had good service and relatively competitive pricing with an occasional exception. So I never had one of those "WOW" experiences until yesterday. So I bring my BMW in to get a slow leak fixed. Turns out the leak was due to a cracked rim. I had road hazard insurance when I bought the car, so when the technician showed me the crack and explained the situation I immediately called the insurance company. The technician was awesome. Friendly, personable, knowledgeable and went out of his way to accomodate me. He even talked to my insurance company conveying model info. etc. Over the phone. Turns out that the crack was a stress crack and not a road hazard crack (only an insurance company can come up with a differentiation like that!) The tech tried to repair the crack with epoxy while Matt Dunbar, one of the front end guys, helped me search Internet sites, etc. for a replacement wheel. I wish I could remember the technician's name because both he and Matt impressed the heck out of me bending over backwards to satisfy me. Regardless, they sent me off at NO CHARGE while we wait for my replacement wheel to arrive. They both probably spent 2 hrs each helping me all over a flat tire. Amazing. read more

I grew up where Gerald's Tires is legendary for customer service. I never thought I'd find that kind of place, especially in a "chain." I found my "check tire pressure" light on and, especially since I have a toddler, wanted to find the closest place to have it checked. I was happy to find this location had great reviews. I felt at ease with the friendly staff who seemed honest and respectful (hard to find with auto repair). They had me in and out quickly and, much to my surprise, didn't try to sell me anything or charge for the service! Well, I know where I will go for my next service. I am a regular customer and trusted these people. Until now. Came in to get my daughters van an oil change and tires rotated. The report given back to me was everything ok. My daughter and 2 week old granddaughter went a quarter mile when her van started vibrating to the point of having no choice but to come back. I'm now told there is a huge gash in tire, needs to be replaced. ???? My report 10 minutes earlier said tires were good.... #5 on your checklist is LOOK FOR CUTS IN TIRE!!! Either your to incompetent to really go through your checklist or you just don't care about the safety of your customers. On top of that, stoned faced Don tries to sell me shocks and struts!!
