Zedric's is amazing!! I am a picky eater when it comes to pre-made meals and these were shockingly delicious. When we moved into town we wanted to eat healthy until our movers arrived 4 days later. We bought meals to last us throughout that timeframe so we were able to try many different meals. I would highly recommend meals from Zedric's to anyone looking for prepared healthy meals! read more

I've been to Zedric's a couple times. Both times I have been impressed with the taste and quality of the food. If I lived or worked closer to a location I would probably be a regular. Everything is pre-prepared and is "heat and serve". They run the gamut from Thai to Italian. Tonight I had a balsamic chicken over penne with artichoke. We both loved it. I also had a kale salad, the only thing was that I wish it had a touch more dressing. My kiddos had a chicken breasts with broccoli and pasta with marinara sauce. Everyone was very happy. Like Brent, the only thing that is keeping me from 5 stars is that the prices are a touch high considering I could eat at a restaurant for the same price. I would also like to see family sized meals. That could potentially save me money and feed the whole family. Overall this is a great idea and I look forward to coming back. read more

Just tried Zedric's for the first time. I walked in, picked up the turkey burger entree and a side of brussel sprouts, and was in and out in five minutes. The space is clean, open, and has plenty of available seating in case you want to heat and eat your meals on the spot. The turkey burger and sprouts were flavorful and filling for the portion size. I feel like I had a much better lunch than trying to find a salad/ lighter option at any fast food/ fast casual restaurant. I've tried MyFitFoods (no longer in operation) before and can say that this meal was more fresh and filling than the previous competition. I will be back at Zedric's again! read more

This place makes it super convenient to eat healthier food! I really like it because the food tastes really good and it's easy to digest. The pic is of the Korean Beef BBQ. It used to be very tasty but they changed their recipe so now it's bland. However most of the food tastes really good and if you didn't try the old recipe you may enjoy the new one read more

So I just started back to eating healthy and working out this week, after several years of neglect and added weight. However I forgot my lunch at home today. Not having the time to drive all the way home, eat, and drive back on my lunch break, i needed to find an alternative solution. Enter Zedric's. Too many times I've been let down by a restaurant saying that they have great tasting healthy food options, however Zedric did not disappoint me. This place is awesome for those looking to kickstart a healthier way eating when eating out. I had the Korean Beef BBQ Regular and it was delicious. I think I'm going to make this place my regular Friday lunch. Looking forward to trying some of the other menu items. read more

Love the healthy and convenient meals from Zedrics! They use quality ingredients and food is always fresh.

Food is so tasty not just for healthy food but in general. This place is a hidden gem. I can get all three meals a day for 7 days for about $150 with their subscription. Food stays fresh all week too. I'm always so excited for my next order read more

Nutricious and healthy meals on the go! Staff is friendly and helpful. My favorite was the ground turkey on spaghetti squash. The korean bbq beef was my least fav. It tasted a little burned. Went back the next day for breakfast and the pancakes were really good! read more

4.25 stars. I had been curious about Zedric's for quite a long time, but every review I read made me question why I'd ever go here. It sounded like people were justifying small, pricey better-than-average reheated food because it was healthy. Pretty much everything about that sounded unsatisfying to me so not surprisingly I waited a year before I decided to give Fit with Flavor a fighting chance. The long and short of it is I was wrong. This place is legit, but I'd suggest it only if you meet the following criteria: 1. Do you ever lift, bro? Because if you don't care about your body enough to voluntarily move around heavy pieces of iron every so often, then you aren't going to get the full effect of their offerings. The paleo meals here are absolutely perfect for people who do stuff like Crossfit. And don't worry; if you despise the weight machine, there are plenty of low-carb options for the frail types. And I'm kidding, I don't have anything against the frail types and neither does Zedric's. I digress. 2. You can tell when you put healthy food into your body. Look, I just got back from an all you can eat BBQ festival which was wonderful and awesome, but I also felt like complete garbage for the next eight hours or so. You know how I feel when I eat Zedric's food? Like a Greek God on steroids. And probably X too. It doesn't matter. The reality is you can feel the nutrients coursing through your body and that is certainly part of the draw for me. If you aren't that in tune with your body, oh well. Have another Egg McMuffin, I guess. 3. You aren't trying to gain weight. Sure, all of this food is packed with protein and can keep you reasonably full (I say "reasonably" because quite honestly I can eat two of these without even stopping for air) and is actually GREAT for lifting, but if you are just trying to bulk up, may I suggest peanut butter, ungodly amounts of whey protein, chocolate milk, and all the meats? It's definitely cheaper though I feel for your long-term health. With all those caveats out of the way, you are ready to eat!!! And eat you shall. I'm a very new customer, but here are my ratings for what I've tried so far... Paleo Beef Meatballs over Zoodles (5/5): Totally scoffed at the idea of zucchini noodles which ended up being great. Meatballs were outstanding. Definitely would get this again. Protein Bento Box (3/5): Salty grilled chicken, nice husks of smoked gouda, a few grapes, and some questionable crackers for a little over 5 dollars. Meh. Turkey Ragu over Spaghetti Squash (5/5): You know why this is there most popular dish? Because it is better than anything that was ever meant to be microwaved ever. Grilled Pork Chop with Sweet Potato Hash (3/5): The hash is great. The pork chop was a bit dried out for my tastes, but the seasoning was nice. I'd probably pass for other options. Malaysian Beef Tenderloin & Broccoli (4/5): The tenderloin is exceptional and there is an assortment of veggies. Cashews on top are a nice crunchy textural addition. In any event, places like Zedric's are popping up all over the country, but this is certainly in the upper echelon of the healthy prepared meals I have tried. I could see myself eating here on a fairly regular basis and perhaps you should too. read more

Pros: You will find plenty of healthy, pre-prepared gourmet food for paleo, low-carb, and gluten-free diets. Great portion size. Cons: Other than the salad bar, there are no vegetarian entree options for lunch or dinner. Vegetarians: You might be better served coming in for breakfast to get some oatmeal. The only option for lunch and dinner would be the salad bar or piecing together a meal of vegetarian side dishes. Want healthy food that is free of preservatives and additives and is completely fresh? Zedric's has you covered. Want chef-prepared gourmet food reminiscent of Central Market's and Whole Food's chef-inspired creations? Zedric's does it. Want options for paleo, low-carb, and gluten-free diets? Zedric's it is. Chef Zach Lutton, a Culinary Institute of America-trained chef, serves up delicious to-go food at a reasonable price that will inspire you to change the way you eat. Food, even healthy food, should taste good. And it should provide not just proper nourishment, but health as well. Zedric's works out a great concept. It is an old idea that is new again: eat fresh prepared food that includes healthy meats, veggies, fruits, and whole grains to feel better, even in a stress-filled world where cooking fresh at home is the last thing that some people want to do after a long day of work. Zedric's does this at a fair price (given the quality ingredients and preparation skill) and packages it all up to go. If you want to save a few dollars while still eating healthy, I recommend buying their discounted items, which are still good but priced for quick sale. The service is friendly and the staff is very helpful if it happens to be your first visit, though I can envision this restaurant having lots of regular customers. Zedric's even has a "ZedCard" that offers a 28-day meal plan for its regulars. My only gripe is the relative lack of vegetarian options, given that Zedric's aims to promote healthy diets. As I state earlier, the only entree option for lunch and dinner is the salad bar. That, or a meal of vegetarian side dishes. I tried the discounted NY strip steak with grilled vegetables. It was very well made and absolutely delicious. My side of mac-n-cheese with turkey bacon was equally good. And it was healthier than mac-n-cheeses from most other restaurants because it was made with whole wheat elbow macaroni and low fat cheese. Trust me, it didn't taste like it was healthy though! I was very pleased with Zedric's food and I am absolutely crazy about the idea of fresh, healthy, gourmet food. I look forward to returning soon to try more of the ever-changing menu. read more

Zedric's is a local place where customers pick up pre-cooked meals for reheating at home. Every meal that I've purchase here, whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, turns out very good. Be careful: Not all options are healthy!! If you're looking to eat heathy at Zedrics, you can, but you'll need to watch what you pick out. Food selection has an almost overwhelming variety. Staff is friendly and quick to ring up customers. read more

Zedric's is a great place to go when you need a meal on the go. I went to the one on Broadway, great location. I was heading out of town and in order to forgo my desire to pick up fast food, I opted to use my yelp deal and pick up a meal from Zedric's. For $20, I got two meals- almond breaded chicken with kale and mashed cauliflower, turkey ragu with spaghetti squash and a paleo muffin. The food was so delicious! My only complaint is that it is a little on the high end for me ($8.50-$12 a meal), but it's worth it when you need a healthy meal on the go, especially when the ingredients are fresh and organic. I will definitely return! read more

This place is awesome! I'm away from home in a hotel with no freezer and have little options for meals. Found this place and it's the only reason I'm not eating unhealthy fast-food everyday. So far I love the hong kong chicken, alaskan cod, and turkey ragu with spaghetti squash. The meals reheat nicely and taste great! They also give great discounts when buying multiple meals. Wish I had one of these closer to home. read more

I love Zedric's!! I work in one of the buildings close by and love coming here when I don't have time to pack my lunch. It's a little expensive, but the meals are prepared daily and are extremely healthy. No pre-packaged food that sits in freezers for weeks. They also offer different portions and find that the "small" portion works perfectly for lunch and the "regular" portion for dinner. Overall, I'm really happy with this company and have become a regular. read more

I have quite a few favorite meals. I love the crowd favorite "Turkey Ragu", "Blackened Chicken Sandwich", "Buffalo Lettuce Wraps", the new one that I really like is a "BBQ Chicken with Slaw"...it's a great light meal for dinner. Additionally, Try some of the desserts, I love the Pecan and Zucchini Muffin. It's only 90 calories and they are a little pricey but quite addictive. :-) read more

This is an amazing concept! And delicious food! I have been trying to lose my baby weight for quite some time (the kid is almost 2). I tried fad diets and doing calorie restrictions on my own but did not maybe have either the willpower or the "secret." of course, there is no secret. Enter Zedrics. Zedrics makes chef prepared, individually portioned meals that conform to many healthy eating requirements- reasonable calories, low carb, gluten for, paleo, even vegan (sometimes). The food is delicious, fresh and tasty. And not loaded with salt or preservatives! This is so easy for busy professionals. And they are not trying to sell me supplements of questionable purity and efficacy unlike their competitors. It may be a tad pricier than making a PB&J but it is so much healthier and yummy. My hubs and I have cut down on the cost by using our own snacks and making our own breakfasts some times. Ask about any sale items they have. And also, 10% military discount. Some of the staff is not as helpful as others, but they were obviously new and learning the ropes. Everyone we've met has been nice and friendly. Best of all? I have lost 5 lbs on this tasty food. Except the turkey meatloaf. Not a fan of that one :) read more

Love! What else can I say that hasn't been said already? I can only afford to come here about once a week but I'm willing to pay a little extra knowing it's cooked fresh and healthy. Stopped in at Zedric's Fit w/ Flavor for lunch. Amazing service from the moment I stepped in the store. I was greeted with a smile and a warm greeting by the two gentlemen working, Fernando and Brian. They explained how everything works and not only did I buy lunch, I bought breakfast, lunch, dinner and some snacks. I tried the Turkey Ragu while here and it was great. Not too salty, not bland at all...just perfect!!! I will be back for sure. read more

Zedric's - Turkey Ragu! - Food Delivery Services Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Zedric's just moved into the old Orderup space in the Colonnade. The idea behind Zedric's is basically fresh gourmet food to go. The menu is very organized and even has each item labeled by low carb, gluten-free, paleo friendly, vegetarian, or weekly special. They carry breakfast, lunch--with a salad bar from 11-2 Mon thru Fri--dinner, and snacks. There are many options for all different dietary restrictions, and each dish shows nutritional info and calorie count. What is also great is Zedric's utilizes local produce, beef and dairy whenever possible. Most beef items are grass fed. I tried a couple of dishes and certain ones stood out and others were a miss. The turkey ragu was delicious and a nice alternative to spaghetti clocking in at only 350 calories for dinner. The ahi tuna salad could use some wasabi, or something to give it a little zing. I'm sure as Zedric's receives more input they will continue to grow. If you are trying to stay on a calorie count, or have dietary restrictions but still want convenience then this is the way to go. read more

I lost 50 pounds while eating here every day for 3-4 months. A lot of hard work went into that as well, but this place made dieting easy-peasy. The food is tasty for the most part. The girl who's there pretty much every day is always sweet and super helpful. read more

I'm not gluten free, but I didn't mind that this restaurant is. All meals are pre-portioned and packaged. You can easily pick out a meal that meets your nutritional goals. Either take it to go or eat on site in their little cafe area. All food is prepared fresh and delicious. We had the chicken cranberry salad, tortilla soup, and a coco-pecan bar. The chicken salad was soooo good, I took an extra portion to-go to eat for dinner and share with the family. read more

Zedric's - Flat iron steak and sweet potato hash. Delicious and filling! - Food Delivery Services Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

My initial experience with Zedric's was blah... I used to make runs to Whole Foods for lunch but that took forever so I decided to hit up Zedric's. First time I went, I got the Chicken Parmesan... It was okay. Decided to go back for the Stir Fry... really salty. Went again for the Thai Chicken, wayyyyy to salty!! But after a few weeks of eating way too much Thai food (Rock San anyone?), I decided to pick up Zedric's one more time. And I was happy to find that they corrected the salt problem! The girl there gave me the stir fry to try for free just so I can see myself. So I am very happy now, and this is perfect for a healthy lifestyle. I am constantly on the road (I don't live in SA), so this is perfect for me! Here is what I've tried: Chicken Parmesan- I think the chicken is cooked in almond flour instead of fried. It's not bad for a healthy meal. It just leaves me the slightest bit unsatisfied. Eggplant/Beef Lasagna- DELICIOUS!!!! I love it, but I wish it was bigger. It's too small for a meal Chicken Fajita Bowl- A solid meal choice! Chicken Enchiladas- Not the biggest fan of green chile, not bad though. I enjoyed it Mac & Cheese- Uhh, don't bother. Not very good Chicken Stirfry- No longer salty, so it tastes great! I always have to add Siracha though. Love spicy food Turkey Chorizo with Quinoa- Good breakfast choice, but there's way too much quinoa, so it can get a little bland. Chorizo was very spicy and good Brisket with Egg- Yummy! I'd recommend this Thai Chicken- Honestly, I tried this when they said they "corrected" the salt problem. Didn't think they did. I'd stay away. read more

Overly expensive and stringy green beans came with the chicken. Hard pass! Save your hard earned money and either make it yourself or buy stuff from Sprouts or HEB. read more

If anyone wants to corner the meal-prep market, start by tackling Zedric's - it won't be hard. I'm not sure what animal my "flat iron steak" came from, as the consistency was very much like soy. I don't have an issue with soy really, but when I order a steak, I assume that it would actual animal protein. This is the McDonalds of meal prep. It's high priced, but very poor quality. My husband and I cook at home, but like others, this was our haven to adhere to a "diet" when we don't have time to cook. Zedric's is overpriced, over-seasoned mystery food. It's a shame, the business idea is solid and everyone that has ever helped me in the store has been amazing. Fire the chefs, and get better ingredients. read more

Went for the 1st time today and WOW!!!! Check this place out. So delicious and someone helped me right away.

I enjoy the convenience of picking up some healthy alternatives to fast food. The calories are on the side of the meal and heated meals microwave in around 2 minutes or less. There are some decent choices and the customer service is always good. read more

The staff was friendly, the flavor was great, but the execution was not prepared by a "gourmet chef" I ordered the turkey ragu. Tasted good but there were chunks of squash (not quite spaghetti) and several seeds. It tasted great but after crunching on a seed more than once I had to keep an eye out for them which made the experience less than stellar. read more

Tried this for the first time. Be careful when you pick stuff to check the price. Good food though.

I thought it would be "healthy" but it just seems like the girl didn't know what items were healthy & it was kinda awkward I mean even the chips are not healthy at all so I get a wrap & it looked like a 5 year old made it the quality is of like a elementary school cafeteria for it's price definitely not worth it very disappointed there's other places that are very professional & they sell all healthy products with great quality, but not this place smh read more

We were expectimg a "restraunt" to both sit dwn n eat and take prepared food home. But the place has "only" prepared/packaged food ready to eat there (via) there microwave or take out. Tried the beef medallion w/sweet potato hash. Hash has Plablano peppers and beef was good. Won't go back, dom't live in Texas. read more

A friend of mine recommended this place to me. I went here after I first discovered I had celiac disease and had no idea what to eat. They were friendly and I was able to get a weeks worth of meals until I could figure out my plan. There were yummy options, but the fridge was not full so t was missing some options. The food was good and filling (I am athletic and got the medium sizes). The breakfast was my favorite- I know reheating eggs sounds gross but they were very good! I wish they had one in New Braunfels! read more

Love the food from here. Lamb/bison burger is delicious. Breakfast, snacks, and dinner are all great options. I haven't found anything I didn't like. Good portions and decent prices. read more

Average but not in a bad way. Korean bbw was refrshing and the cauliflower soup was a nice alternative to potato

I ordered from here through Uber eats. Nowhere on the Uber eats menu does it say that the meal is delivered cold and has to be heated up. If I wanted to cook my own food I would have gotten a similar meal from HEB for way less. The salad was good but they steak was tough and chewy. This place was a waste of time and money. I was expecting a hot ready to eat meal to be delivered at my home. Not at all what I got. Very disappointing. read more

Whoever owns this business, YOU ARE A GENIUS! Amazing food, pre-maid, and delivered to your door... what could be better than this? My husband and I just bought a weeks worth of food, and calculated that this is cheaper than buying a weeks worth of groceries. Not only is it cheaper, but less time consuming, and it's super healthy. Oh, and you don't have all the left over dishes in the sink from cooking! Our food was delivered today and it came packed perfectly with a freezer bag and ice. Staff is very friendly! I suggest just ordering online since the store is small and it's hard to search for food when someone is in front of you looking. It's way easier online! There is only one thing that bothers me... the containers aren't very "eco-friendly." I want to recycle them but not sure if our recycle company would take them (they are strict). If I could make a suggestion... maybe have customers bring back in containers, and they could be sanitized (obviously very well), and reused? I just hate throwing away these perfect containers. read more

First of all, food tastes great. No complaintsto the chef. At my doctors recommendation to try the Paleo diet to improve my chronic, aggressive inflammation, I looked for a meal service. I'd previously had great success going gluten free with another company like this one, but since they were across town, decided to give this one a shot. Placed my order for a 5 day plan. It's z bit more expensive to have meals prepped and individualized so I didn't mind paying a bit more for the convenience as I try and transition into a new lifestyle. ($135 for the Small 1200 cal/day plan). HOWEVER: I've noticed throughout the week (I'm on day 4 of 5) that almost every meal included non-paleo ingredients or items, so trying to find a sub and pass those off to my boyfriend has been a struggle when I wasn't anticipating preparing or prepping meals this week... I've had cheese, peanuts, chocolate and now rice noodles in my "Paleo" meal kit. I'm guessing the staff isn't trained on different diets and default to gluten free, which is basically what I've had since all of the ingredients named are inflammatory ones... Just gonna have to figure out another way or go elsewhere... I'm just dissapointed, really. That said and as I mentioned, food does taste great, microwave well without getting dry and is reasonably filling portion sizes, so I do recommend trying it for portion control or no dietary restrictions. Maybe gluten free is okay to do since you shouldn't have issues there. read more
