Place was busy too for a weekday afternoon, with bikers stopping in for a quick bite. I don't ride bikes, I drink coffee..and that's why I decided to stop in! Besides the array of baked goods, sandwiches and salads, there was one item that really ci-haut my eye; they have a lavender latte??! What?! I grabbed a tall lavender coffee with almond milk for 5.50$ and sat on the little patio upfront to enjoy my java. The scent of lavender was intense upon my first sip but I quickly got accustomed to the odd flavour and thoroughly enjoyed my cup of joe; the espresso was not very acidic and the almond milk was perfectly sweet, so overall, this coffee was perfectly balanced! Maybe it was the lavender or maybe it was the summer like weather, but I felt totally zen and content. The price may be a little higher then other shops in the corner who offer better coffee but the scenic view and odd lavender coffee has intrigued me enough to return for the spiced latte...stay tuned.

I've wanted to try their sandwiches, but never made it past the skepticism infused by the glutenness this involves. Marius has an open-air terrace on St Catherine, which makes it a fun place for people watching on that pedestrian section of the busy street. I was also pleasantly surprised with how the neighbourhood evolved since last time I went to the former red light district. I would go back (and have gone back)

I don't recall even noticing this place on that trip. This time around, the construction has passed, and the place is easily accessible. It is a nice breakfast spot, with a variety of seating options. Wait staff were attentive and prompt. Overall good service, not too overbearing. The menu is divided into sections based on diets, such as keto, vegan, etc. I found the l'oncle Keto, meaning uncle keto. It's a variation on eggs Benedict, with lots of meat, and the muffin replaced by slices of tomato and avocado, and it has some brie and Emmental cheese, bacon, and mushrooms. The concept actually works pretty well, and it was a tasty breakfast to start the day. The coffee is good also.

Waiter was very nice and sweet so getting points here for the service . In the crepes in my opinion wasn't enough cheese I mean I get it cheese's expensive especially speciality cheese like Brie but didn't felt it much also ham was ok but nothing to be crazy about . Little relaxing background music that was quite relaxing and not much people so feels good to peacefully eat your breakfast in a quiet place

They also have smoothies, your usual espresso selection like lattes, mimosas, and more. I highly recommend coming before noon. Almost every nook and corner was instagrammable and gave off vintage vibes. We ordered the croissant, ginseng latte and a Cortado. The croissant was good but it would have helped if they had warmed it up for us. The Cortado was nice and strong and gave the kick to survive the rest of the evening. The ginseng latte was out of this world. It kind of tasted like a birthday cake in a cup with just the right amount of sweetness. The service was a bit chaotic though since there was a bit of the rush, but regardless, we had a great experience and loved the aesthetics of this cafe. 10/10 recommend.
