The staff were so warm and welcoming and the iced latte was one of the best I had during our entire trip. My wife's matcha latte was also pretty good. Although we stuck with quite basic drinks, they also feature a number of really creative drinks as well if you're in the mood to experiment. This cafe is cozy and not only is it a great place for both espresso and matcha-based drinks, it's a great place to relax and catch up with friends or research your next move if you're visiting like we were. The cafe is tiny and feels cramped; there were five people at most inside and I felt claustrophobic! The chalkboard menu lists their offerings including coffee, soups, and sandwiches. The meals are all prepared in the tiny kitchen space in the back of the store daily and so, everything is fresh. They were making a squash soup when I walked in to order my coffee, and the smell was enveloping! I felt like i was at a friend's house watching them prepare dinner; very homey. I placed my order at the nonexistent counter and waited for my tall latte. The coffee, served in a biodegradable cup, was good although a little light for me. The service was friendly and quick, then again I didn't order any food. If I lived nearby, I can see myself stopping in for a bite or coffee on the outdoor space (banquet facing the street) but would feel cramped otherwise.
