Go for the barbican for the drink. The ambiance is great and chill. The service is very good and fast. Amazing student discounts around 7 dollars for a shawarma and a pop. After walking inside you get the same cozy feeling and the smells just warm your soul up. They put so much dedication from the way they speak with you to the quality of the food, I was really satisfied. I didn't know this but you actually get $5 off your first order of $25 or more if you order online through their website shawermaplus.com - love supporting local! Since I was really craving mediterranean I decided to go all out and order. First, there was so much variety on the menu that there wasn't anything I couldn't order. Shawerma Plus has some of the best value meals so I decided to order the Saj Super Family Tray, Chicken Shawerma Poutine, and Baqlawah for dessert. My Saj Super Family Tray came out so crispy and flavorful - seriously filled with so much umami. I love how the poutine uses their own sauce and it really made for a unique combo. To finish, the baqlawah was the perfect finish with the sweet drizzle. For a Mediterranean craving, I will definitely be back. Thank you for all that you do!

It came with grilled chicken, veggies, hummus, tahini, BBQ sauce, and pomegranate molasses. The flavors worked really well together, the chicken was moist and juicy, the sauces added layers of richness, and the veggies kept it fresh. Portion sizes are big enough to leave you full, with the small priced at $9.49 and the large at $15.29, which makes it a good deal. The staff was efficient and friendly, and my order was ready without much wait. It's always nice when service matches the food, and here both delivered. For anyone who enjoys hearty Shawarma plates with bold flavors, this is worth the visit. I'll be back to explore more of their menu.

However, there was much left to be desired and I'm saying this even though I was hungry. It is a watered down inauthentic wrap if I ever ate one. Watered down, meaning it literally tastes like water. If you like lettuce, this is the place to go. You can also taste the cucumber water. The chicken was dry, not plentiful and I did not see the chicken cooking outside, so not sure how they make it. There's no hummus or garlic flavour. If you like salad inside a wrap, with water taste, this is it. It wasn't as savoury as I would have wanted it to be. Plenty of parking and has a washroom, which is good. Food though has much left to be desired

I've been here twice with my boyfriend and we've chosen something different and delicious each time! The first time we were there, I ordered the hummus wrap and he ordered the chicken kafta wrap. We had originally wanted to order the baba ghanouj wrap and beef kafta wrap but it was a Saturday and they had sold out of those items, so make sure to come earlier in the week if you want to try those! However, our second choices still proved to be very satisfying. They make their Saj bread which they use for the wraps right there in the restaurant so it's as fresh as it can get! My boyfriend really enjoyed his chicken kafta wrap with the Saj time sauce (a slightly sweet and savory sauce). My wrap was filled with lots of hummus and loads of fresh veggies. We knew we had to come back again! The second time we got to try the beef kafta rice plate and baba ghanouj wrap! The beef kafta is made with various spices and is extremely flavorful, my boyfriend got it topped with the Saj time sauce again because it was so good the first time. My baba ghanouj wrap was packed with veggies, it was food that felt good for my tastebuds and my health! I'm not sure what the baba ghanouj specifically tasted like because I had a lot of pickled vegetables (beets, banana peppers, pickles) that had very strong flavors. Saj time has so many unique items and I would highly recommend it to all my fellow Yelpers and non-Yelpers to check this place out! The prices are very fair and they also have daily specials! For my next visit, I have my eye on the Apple Sinister Saj dessert!

What a wonderful new local business!…read more I want to make this prominent: They make the viral Dubai Kunafa chocolate bars! I had a whole meal first that was fantastic, but if you are wanting to try these chocolate bars, go there now! So creamy and crunchy and delicious! Now, the store is bright and welcoming, spotlessly clean with a small dining area for casual meals. This is not a cozy romantic place, but if you want to try some new things it would make for a fun date night, and certainly a great place to grab a meal with friends or family. The staff are enthusiastic and accommodating, and the owner is very warm and interested in making you happy. We had the smoked meat sandwich and the Jordanian mansaf lamb. The smoked meat was better than what I had a Schwartz's Deli in Montreal; very lean, moisture and flavourful with a creamy mustard sauce. The fries that came with it were feshly made skin-on fries that were perfectly crispy. The mansaf was wonderful too. The meat was so tender, it almost didn't need to be chewed. It was served with minimal sauce on the dish and a side bowl of sauce so you could add just the right amount for your liking. The yogurt sauce had just the right amount of yogurt tang, which balance well with the lamb without being overwhelming. The portion sizes were big. I actually thought I might end up taking home leftovers, but I did manage to eat it all. I did take home an assortment of desserts, including some baklava that had more pistachios in it than I'd ever seen! And the nuts were stuck together with exactly the right amount of honey to hold them together so they didn't fall out when I bit into the pastry. The owner made us some Karak tea to ask our opinion of his recipe. This warmly spiced tea, much like very strong Chai, was a very satisfying end to the meal. Another patron who had had Karak tea before suggested he use a bit less cinnamon to allow the other spices to shine. The owner thanked her for her feedback and said he would adjust his recipe accordingly. This place has only been open for a couple of weeks, so they're just getting the word out that they exist. They are open late, until 11pm each night, and have lots of free parking available. They can do curbside pickup if you wish, and they also do catering for events of any size. Please do visit this lovely place and welcome them to the neighbourhood!
