Zax snacks (Chicken Fingerz)
John W.

I've been to this zaxbys 3 times now and it's always been good. It's usually not super busy and our food is always out super fast. Today, the food was really delicious! The restaurant is always clean and nice, and the pop machine always has all of the flavors. This is a great chain location, highly recommend

Our to go dinner

First time going to a Zaxby. My brother bought me dinner here as we were driving into Dallas. The chicken was hot and fresh. The spices were similar to Canes but different.

Located right off the 45. First time at a Zaxby's. Order a variety of menu items. Found that the food was not very tasty. It was just average tasting fast food. Not real flavorful. Temperature of food was a bit on the cool side. Think the food was made and sat under the lamps for a while. Can not say that we enjoyed the food. Food just eliminated our hunger at that time.

I had a 5 dollar off 20 coupon that was online only. I asked at the drive thru if that would be okay and if they could apply it anyway. They said yes. Got up to the window and the other woman told me "we don't do it if it's online." Then yelled at her teammate who got it incorrect. The incorrect teammate apologized, to her credit. But you couldn't just punch in 5 dollars off when I showed you that it was on my account and that the website is down? I would have driven away instead of waiting in line for 10 minutes only to be told otherwise at the window. To add insult to injury, the food was poorly prepared (both grilled chicken sandwiches were burnt to a crisp) and they forgot two of our dipping sauces.

6pc chicken strips, CRINKLE fries, toast, slaw. Fried pickles on right and cheese curds on bottom left. Got 5-6 sauces not pictured.

First time eating here. I expected mediocre food but was surprised by cleanliness and good aroma of the restaurant. Has the fast food style like Freddy's steak burgers and Popeyes environment. Person at register was pleasant and new. Her coworkers eager to help her with questions. Good attitude so far. Got food very quickly! Took the food out and put on the table and was amazing. Chicken was tender and juicy and flavorful. Slightly darker breading but I ate it all and my girls left over strip. Coleslaw is not my favorite but ate it and it wasn't that bad. Sauces were fun (good variety) and got fried pickles and fried cheese. All amazing! Will definitely be coming back for chicken. Some sauces were missing and had to wait 1-2 min back in line but when cashier noticed me she handled it immediately

I was pleased with my first time experience with Zaxby's. The customer service isn't phenomenal at the drive-thru, however. When I heard the lady speak in a mundane tone, I had my hopes up temporarily for some good yard bird eating. Usually I have prejudgments of food quality based on customer service. Anyway, I took a long shot and ordered the "wings and things" item marinated with sweet and spicy. Once I bit into the chicken strip, I noticed how meaty and tender it was. The "Zaxby sauce" was a good compliment to the strips as it had a slight tangy tomato paste taste to it. The traditional Wings were meaty, as well. I really did not expect this type of food quality from a fast food drive thru type restaurant.

My frugal meter was quite upset here! There are not inexpensive food items on the menu. You will spend at least $4 on any decent side item here seemingly. This place is smart in their efforts to get me here. I only showed up because they sent a free meal voucher for joining there snail mail Club. When I finally made it to the place, I opted to use the drive-thru instead of going in. While in the Drive-Thru, I noticed that they had a sign up for joining their text Club as well. Since the snail mail club did yield me a free meal, I opted to join the text mail Club as well with the mind-state of getting the same type of goodies. The verdict: I'm not certain what the Mass Appeal of this place is. The fries were decent, with a flavorful spice sprinkled all over them, but all in all, nothing special about these crinkle cut fries. The color was not golden brown, nor were there a real crunch to them, but they were decent. The Zaxby's club sandwich did have a nice buttery toast to lay there nicely fried chicken strips on, but that's where the party stops! There was nothing special to warrant the prices that they are charging for this commodity. As a matter of fact, you could make a similar sandwich at home if you get the fried chicken strips together like theirs. The chicken strips itself lacked any noticeable attempt of flavor, so once again, I do not understand the appeal of this place. All in all, this is just another chain restaurant doing what it does. Come try them and see if I was too harsh on them.

This is my second time going to Zaxbys. The first experience was a pleasant one, the second one not so much. I had made an order for the "Wings and things" which consisted of boneless wings and tenders. I had specifically mentioned that I did not want sauce on the tenders. When the tenders arrived they had sauce on it. I understand mistakes may occur and that's not an issue but what follows is. I went to the front to show the cashier Thanya that my order was incorrect and that I would like to get tenders with no sauce. She looked a little confused but said okay. As I sat down she stormed over to the booth and presented me with the receipt, and explained that she wrote down that the tenders did have sauce and that I was mistaken. I explained to her that I definitely remember asking for no sauce but if I had accidentally not stated so (person with me verified I did) I apologize but I would like to have tenders with no sauce. She then stated the following: Thanya: "Well you told me that you wanted sauce. I have to ask the chefs what they want to do because it's up to them if they feel like cooking your order again or not. They're the ones that get paid to do it". I waited for over 15 minutes and did not receive the tenders. Spoke to manager Kurt as well. I won't go here again.

I had to bite the bread LOL!!

I'm from Atlanta where Zaxbys is known and common so you can imagine my how sadden I was by not finding one in Houston.... until TODAY!! I got a house salad with no fried onions!! Personally I prefer Zaxby's over Chick-fil-A any day!

It's also conveniently close to home, so it seemed like a win. We went for happy hour on a Friday around 5:45 PM. It's seat-yourself, so we chose a table near the bar. Our waitress (whose name we later learned was Marissa) approached us and immediately asked, "Do y'all know what you want to drink?"--no greeting, no menu, no mention of specials, and no acknowledgment that it might be our first time there. The issue was... we didn't even have menus yet. We told her we weren't ready, and she walked off. After a few minutes of finally getting a look at the menu, we still hadn't been told anything about happy hour. My fiancé ended up going to the bar just to take photos of the beer options. When Marissa returned and asked again about drinks, I explained we had to go to the bar and try to figure out the specials. She simply said "okay" and walked away again. To be honest, the service from her felt rude and uninterested. She seemed rushed and even tapped her fingers on the table at one point while taking our order. Despite us mentioning it was our first time, there was no effort to walk us through the menu or highlight anything. What made it more confusing was that she appeared friendly and engaged with other tables--so I'm not sure what the disconnect was with us. We're always kind and respectful to wait staff, but the lack of basic hospitality made it hard to enjoy the experience. As for the food--unfortunately, it didn't make up for it. The crawfish were bland, and the "dipping sauce" tasted like straight hot sauce. The extras (corn, potatoes, sausage) were minimal--basically one of each, cut in half. The Parmesan wings were also underwhelming, tasting like bland Alfredo sauce with Parmesan on top, though they were at least fried well. There was a shift change, and the other waitresses we interacted with were fine--that's actually how we found out our original server's name. Overall, this was a disappointing first experience. Between the service and the food, it just wasn't worth the time or money. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

If a place has french fries, he's in. And I'd heard that Tony's was one of the best places to grab a burger in the area, so everybody wins here. I had the Juicy Tony and it was a solid burger. It's noted on the menu that is must be served medium rare, no exceptions - that's my preferred temperature anyway, so it was perfect for me. It was indeed juicy and tender. The cajun fries were a nice pairing. We enjoyed our experience overall. Was it a top notch, amazing burger? I wouldn't go that far, but it did its job and I'm happy we came and tried it out.

At least not enjoy spending it. But with prices these days getting way out of hand what can you do. I got the rattlesnake because I saw it touted as their award winning burger. Not sure from where the award came. But this and their trash can tacos had the emblem next to it. You also get a veggie pack with your to-go burger which has chopped lettuce, pickles, raw onions and 2 slices of tomatoes. That's nice so you don't have to put on the required latex gloves to use their veggie bar to get these yourselves. It's in a separate bag. I thought this was the buger at first and was secretly getting a bit concerned when I saw the cook toss it onto the counter like a bean bag. The cashier was super nice. He offered me water as I waited. They had another guy working in the back cooking the food. You also get a thimble of ketchup in your Togo bag along with a packet of mustard and mayo. The bun was a little burnt. And I couldn't taste any of the mixed in jalapeños. Also I kinda wish they had whole lettuce rather than chopped just because it kept falling out of the burger. But other than these issues the burger was pretty tasty. Definitely not a McDonald's burger like one person posted. But also not the best burger ever as many other posters swear by. Definitely glad I went. But don't know if I'd be willing to spend another $20 on one of their Burgers either. They're closed on Sundays according to Google maps which is old school nice to see.
