The line was not that long when we got here but it took forever for us to get our food. Good news, they did get our order right. We ordered 20 chicken tenders, 4 texas toast, 2 orders of fries, and dipping sauce. I do not care about toast. The fries were good. The chicken tenders were a little chewy and the sauce was not hot but bland. I was disappointed that we could not split the tenders into two different flavors. read more

I have always had good food here. The service is above average for fast food. It's clean and dependable. I appreciate the fact it's real chicken and hand breaded. Although it's a major chain I feel ok eating here. It makes me feel like I am making a better choice for a fast food take out choice for the family. Of course, it's ALL fried and terrible for you but... It sure does taste good. We usually get the tenders, onion rings, and wings. Good value for decent food. Over salted, over priced, dirty tray, low on soda, chewy wings, and just not good. Believe it or not, but I've never tried Zaxby's. I thought it was just fried chicken, which doesn't really draw me in. I was short of time and wanted something new, so here's my first impression and my last. The menu is too small and too far away to tell anything just beyond the name of the meal. I have great vision, but I had to cut in front of the line just to see it. I only saw sandwiches, wings, and tenders but for some reason expected breasts and thighs and drums. The sampler intrigued me but I had to ask what was on it, not being able to see the tiny picture. There is a boneless, and traditional, which I ordered, that had real wings. The drink was not included. Some fast food sell a soda for 1 buck. Well double that and its still not good enough for Zaxby's. They want $2.09. Wonder why they need the nine cents. Here's what you get for $2.09. One of those fancy flavor soda machines that take forever to get your drink. Cherry coke- unavailable. Vanilla coke- unavailable. Orange coke-unavailable. Then I tried plain coke and dumped it out because the taste was way off. Finally settled on Dr. Pepper. My taste buds were out of order after the coke, but the Dr Pepper seemed ok. Then they gave me a plate on a filthy dirty tray that they couldn't even take time to wipe with a dirty rag. I didn't even want it anymore, but needed to eat and short of time. We've all done it. Chicken tenders: salt, salt, salt. It seemed to be mixed into the batter instead of added after cooking. They were hot, and seemed decent breast quality, but every bite screamed salt! The sauce couldn't even tame it. Wings: asked for hot as they get, and pretty sure they were mild. They were cooked perfectly and not overdone, but were somehow extremely chewy. My jaw got sore chewing these things. Fries: just cheap crinkle fries with loads of salt and some cheap Cajun seasoning. Texas toast: how do they screw this up? It had the weirdest strangest taste. I've had every kind of butter before, but this was not butter. Butter comes from the cream in milk. This stuff comes from some manufacturing plant. I'm sure its some kind of oil with artificial flavour and color. The worst part was that after spending $10.99 on crappy fast food, I feel ripped off and cheated. I could have been waited on at a decent restaurant for this price, and had better food. Since they want to try to be more upscale than their competitors, I left my table dirty for them to bus themselves. I paid enough not to have to clean up after myself. read more

Terrible customer service! The workers are always talking to one another and goofing off instead of actively serving their guests. I've been in twice in the last week and have received an attitude both times. I had to greet the cashier/ask her how she was doing both times since she did not have anything to say to me. read more

This location is just terrible. They never seem to get my order correct and the service is not that great either. I have been when it is crowded as well as when it seemed to be slow and the last 4 times my order has been wrong and cold. It sucks to spend good money consistently on bad food and bad service. I went tonight and ordered the southern TLC sandwich combo and again received a cold greasy sandwich that seemed like it had been sitting awhile and cold, over salted fries. I'm from the Jackson area and we have an amazing Zaxby's on the Ridgeland/Jackson border. But this one was straight up disappointing. Maybe I'm spoiled by the one back home but the wing sizes were smaller than expected and then they were dry. It was also 10 at night so maybe that had something to do with if. The last 2 visits to this location have been less than desirable. The chicken has been dried out and employees rude. The coke machine was broken and getting drinks was a long wait getting help from someone behind the counter and you could forget about a refil. We are just passing through town, and we had never had Zaxby's chicken before but had heard good things so we decided to give it a shot. I don't know if we caught them on a bad night, or what the case was, but the person who took our order was pretty rude, and since we had never eaten there before we were asking for suggestions about what was good, and she just kept saying "I don't eat here." Well, that's a little odd, but ok, although I'm sure if you work there you can probably tell what items that you sell the most are, or what other customers prefer... anyway, we got our order, and everything was correct, but the chicken was very dry and either over cooked, or had been sitting out for a while, and the onion rings were soggy. All in all, I can say if we're ever in the area, we won't be stopping there again. read more

This has been one of my favorite places to dine at but as of this date "I'm done"! The last two times my order has not been right and that's my fault because I know whenever you order out you need to check your order before leaving the restaurant. This is strike 3 and I will NOT order Zaxby's again. The chicken was undercooked as you can see from the photographs and I did not discover that until I made it home and started eating. I hope this is the only order that was sent out like this because I would hate for anyone to get ill from this undercooked meat. Ok, it is a fast food chain, I know, but really, take it from me that I don't like to feed my kids fast food, not even when I'm in a hurry I would buy from other chains. I can't say I come super often, but I do like to have my dosage of buffalo chicken at least once a month. This chicken, even when it's fried and that is not so healthy, the chicken is not greasy, and the flavors are really good and consistent. I usually get the blue salad with the buffalo chicken tenders for me and my husband, and the plain chicken tenders or boneless wings for my kiddos that still don't eat spicy food. If I happen to have blue cheese at home (and I always have lettuce or spinach at home) I would only get the boneless and I come home and prepare a fast salad. The fried pickles are good that those ARE greasy in my opinion. And the fries are not that amazing. The bbq chicken has a little kick to it, very good too. The sandwiches are good, I've try them, but I just never go for that. By far I like Zaxby's way better than the other two chicken fast food chains (one starts with K and ends in C, the other one has silly cows but that is the only thing I like about them). Oh yes! Absolute worst service I've ever seen. Restaurant needs to be shut down or have a new manager put in place. They got my order wrong tonight and this wasn't the first time. Just to give fellow yelpers and idea of the extent to which these employees fall short of their job... last week they got a costumers drink order wrong four times in a row. CHICKEN!!! On those days I forget to bring my lunch to work I always find myself here. I'll either order the Cajun Club Basket, The Grilled House Zalad or the Grilled Chicken sandwich. Their fries are always pretty good and I just love the seasoning they sprinkle on it. I have also tried their fried mushrooms and i prefer to dip them in ranch dressing instead of the sauce they serve with it.
