Zaxbys has been pretty good lately but last night was terrible. I ordered online and it was supposed to be ready at 8:20 but took at least another 10 minutes. That was for an order of a tea, salad, 5 wings and fries. The girl behind the counter had a good 30 minutes to prep the dressings and things. I even asked her if she got the salad dressing and said yes. Thule pictures shows the salad dressing I got. No napkins and no fork. For a salad. I go to places like this and pay a premium because it's supposed to be easier and faster. But in the time I stood and watched their staff walk around and take that long to prep a salad I could go to the grocery store that I drove by to get there and buy my own salad fixings and do it cheaper. Food is really good . Chicken is tasty, crispy, and flavorful. Salads are exceptionally good - especially served with the wonderful Texas toast. Service is very quick and order is always correct. Lots of parking space in front. Employees are friendly but professional. Just a few improvements could be made in the cleanliness and serving utensils areas. It is often difficult to find a clean table. I have decided to carry antibacterial wipes in my purse since so many young people seem to not have much training in what makes for "clean and sanitary ". the table we finally found looked clean on the surface, so we sat. As we sat, my hand reached for the edge of the table for balance- as it did, It was met by sticky residue - ugh! I couldn't believe it so I looked at the table edges and was shocked at the appearance of caked-on grime! That caused me to notice the tables around me and they looked as bad!. I was so glad I had those handy Lysol wipes! I scrubbed and scrubbed and was disgusted at what I saw on the wipe. Although the table top looked clean, I instinctively got another wipe to clean it, too. No grime appeared from the table surface.( see pic). I do, also have an issue with the amount of styrofoam and plastic used by this restaurant. Even with "eating in" , everything is served in styrofoam and/or plastic.. But if that's going to save us from higher prices, so be it. As long as Mr Biden is "leading" us, we have to be as frugal as possible . Zaxby's has done well in keeping prices fairly low- especially if you bring in a church bulletin on Sundays! I love the Christian music that is played at a subtle volume - on Sundays. I don't know about other days as Zaxby's has been our best option for Sunday lunch for many years. Their sanitation grade has been great every time we have been. I always look for a grade in the high 90's -100 on each visit. I do wish the grade was posted on the door - as of now, it is posted behind the counter- in plain view. Food is always very yummy, I never dine in bc tbh the table and seats don't look in the best condition BUT the drive thru is perfect and the food looks good and sanitary. I don't interact much with the workers since I always get mobile pick up/drive thru, but I never had any issues. The food comes out hot and fast, it is a bit expensive but it's worth it once in a while. read more

We recently moved to the area and there's a few places that are on our list of places to try. One was Zaxbys.'s. I can't speak to all the restaurants but this location was pretty gross. The service was ok, polite but the place was filthy. What's worse than that? The food. Just gross. The bulk of their menu is fried food and the oil the food was fried in must have been old...because it tasted old. The decorations was kind of weird, too. Nothing really matched and there was a broken table that looked like it was being ignored. Come on, I know you can do better than this! Scratch this one off the list. read more

WowwieWowWow! Perfect spot for a date night. We started with cocktails and were extremely impressed. The New York sour had black pepper on top which balanced the sweetness, wish I could of thought of that. We ordered a seasonal heirloom tomato and watermelon salad. Holy smokes it was delicious. The feta. The mint. The olive oil. It was divine. For the main we split a bone in ribeye medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. I still think about that crispy salty sear. Splitting was a good idea - the portions were ginormous! We also got the creamed spinach and twice baked potato. I would skip the potato next time and try something seasonal or fresh or seasonal. Nice location with plenty of parking. They specialize in chicken. If you dine in your portion size is bigger. The staff are friendly and the times I have come the place is pretty clean. Drive through is efficient. I recommend the salad called blue with blackened chicken and the sweet and spicy wings. The prices ate reasonable. The drive through is a bit slow, but the dine in is a quicker experience I have learned. I recommend for a quick cost efficient bite. read more

This last visit was a 2. The previous a 4, so I split the difference. First visit, food and service was good. The last was so so.. Chicken wings were Very Small and a bit chewy, and the line was so long that the guy behind us walked out! Nothing to write home about. Walked in and restaurant was basically empty. There was no one behind the counter. One of the cooks in the back yelled to the cashier who was out back there were customers. And he did this twice before we were helped. Our order was out quick, but incorrect. I don't eat fast food often, but this is one of my go tos for a delicious grilled chicken house salad. Unfortunately, this Fort Mill location fell short of my high expectations. Let's start with an appropriate greeting. When we walked in, the cashier immediately asked dine-in or take out? Our receipt clearly stated dine-in but yet we received to-go boxes instead of dine-in dishes. My grilled house salad didn't include all the ingredients (fried onions) and they didn't even have the courtesy to at least tell me before hand that they were out. I had a problem with our Big Zak snacks (not hot at all). I called back in when my wife got home. I wrote the time on the receipt (which was from my cell - which I keep 10 mins early for work purposes). I returned a few days later and was nearly assassinated by the Owner's wife about the problem with the cold food. She asked WHY we didn't bring back the food. I advised her that Brent did not tell us we had to. She said they require one to do so. WTF?? She said she noticed I called back in (I believe it was about 15 or 20 mins later from receipt time). I said I called as soon as my wife got home and I noticed the food was cold. She said in the future that I would need to bring it back up there. I told her there shouldn't be a in the future. I felt like she thought I was lying. I am confused at how individuals, franchise owners take the customers patronage for granted. I will NEVER eat at this Zaxby's ever again. Like I explained to Brent, this was the 3rd time my food was cold. The previous 2 times, I just said I wasn't going to grip. But, this time I felt it was necessary. Especially when you have the younger workers that work in the evening. My question to the Owner's wife would be this...You wanted me to bring the food back? Were you willing to pay for my gas to bring it back up there, since it was your restaurant's fault? OR would you have eaten the cold food? It would have been a write off regardless if I bring it back that same day or I came back 3 days later without the food. Definitely a lesson learned. First time visiting a Zaxby's. We had it "to go". I got the chicken fingers & my wife had the black & blue salad. The chicken fingers were good, not great. I did like the Zaxby's sauce for the chicken (I think they have different sauces for everything). Not a big fan of the crinkle cut fries. My wife's salad was really good. Visited there on 9/29/07. Had a 50% off coupon. The clerk handled this purchase ok. Then when I went back in the same time frame, I ordered two milk shakes for my wife and I. The clerk charged me once for the milkshakes at 1/2 price and then turned around a charged me full price for each shake. When we got the shakes, they were not even mixed up.
