Employee taking our order was very sweet, manager was up front helping out and over seeing things. Placed our order and got our beverages and picked out a booth to sit at. We had a short wait, 5 min and they called our name. Food was piping hot, made to order. We both had chicken sandwiches with crinkle cut fries. Chicken was juicy and the spices on the breading tasty, fresh bun. We both enjoyed our meal, fries hot out of the fry basket. We will return to this location again! I hate leaving 5 stars sometimes because you will get a great experience and then it mellows out but this location is usually promising. I looked in my app two days ago and saw a half off we miss you coupon. I decided to use it the last day and was undecided which location (EXCLUDING Presidential) to use it at. I'm so glad I came here. The salad is so fresh. I ordered 2 extra strips on the side which were piping hot. They didn't make it onto the salad. I ate them enroute home. The bacon strip was rendered so nicely. I loved that my bag had a fork and napkins and no assumptions were made that I was going home and didn't need it. Friendly customer service! I would not recommend this Zaxby's to anyone, ever. In the last two years, I haven't had one single correct order. I live nearby, and love Zaxby's food. However, every time I go to this location, there are problems. I went there today, to order lunch for myself. I stood in line for over 15 minutes, while the cashier took one person's order. When you go by a fast food restaurant, you expect minimal service and generally a polite "thank you" is the extent you can expect. Instead of a simple platitudes like this, this Zaxby's hands out attitude and treats you like you are asking them to go an extra mile when you are asking for a napkin when they've spilt excess coke all over your cup in the drive through. Perhaps it's just the employees manners or perhaps it's lack of training on the part by the management. Either way, here i am writing a review rather than enjoying the fine food that Zaxby's does indeed have. All it take is telling the staff that saying "thank you" or "come back" or even a grunt if that can't muster that. Seems like this place continues to go down hill. They were out of coleslaw, then asked if could replace with a side salad they said ok. When order arrived which was also slow, I was given double order of fries and no salad. Then went up and asked for ketchup, was told they are out of ketchup. It's a fast food restaurant so not sure how you run out of the most important item. I would skip this place! I have become increasingly disappointed with this ZaxBy's. The crew was very unconcerned about the fact that I had gone 3 times that day and never got what I was after. First, no celery and ranch with meal, then I had to go back because I ordered onion rings and got the fried chips instead. I went thru the drive thru last evening - orders 2 salads and 2 half and half teas. So we got home and the teas were 100% sweet and undrinkable. Clearly the young lady taking the order didn't hear my order of Half sweet half unsweet. I didn't feel like driving back at the late hour and it was pouring rain, so i saved the teas and thought i'd bring them back today for exchange because that's the right thing to do. after all , we paid more than $5 for them. FYI, this site has a history of old dried out fries and fingers but not making it right- that's a first for me. i have had issues before and been accommodated. They don't even deserve a rating at all. Management as a whole is piss poor and lack morals. Alex is unprofessional, narcissistic and gaslights customers. The food is subpar and if I were you I wouldn't give them service. If I was a health inspector I would shut them down due to the food being pushed out alone. They call themselves selling produce that's clearly way beyond expiration. The chicken is basura if they keep pushing out undercooked meat someone will be bound to get sick. Along with not listening to food preparation requests which can also get someone sick due to food allergies. It seems like all shifts can't work well under pressure. A work shortage is clearly present but it's up to management to make sure all employees can execute under any circumstances. It's no reason why it should take almost an hour to get food that's incorrect, undercooked and inedible. Then when the issue is reported to management they fail to come to a resolution. If someone wants a remake, refund or whatever they deem just for their inconvenience it should be granted. If a PAYING customer took the initiative to report BAD SERVICE and management fails to communicate that's on the employees. If someone paid $5, $50 or $100 the situation should've been nipped in the bud in a timely manner. Members of management shouldn't find it acceptable to gaslight customers like they did something wrong. Then to throw around the term "free meal" like you're doing someone a favor. That "free meal" so loosely being said is nothing compared to what was purchased. No sir, no ma'am I'm not in dire need like I'm desperate trying to get over on you for a meal. What I wanted is my damn money back but since nobody knows how to do their job I'm screwed over. If someone paid for something that wasn't right, went through reporting it and management failed to follow up then claim it's nothing that can be done is 100% BS. Came in and ordered 2 large fries at 9:35, a group of 4 people came in and ordered and received their food after me. (Again, I only ordered fries) when I got my fries they were cold and clearly old, I asked to have them remade and they told me I received old fries because I was "the first costumer to come in in the last hour"......so that means I get cold food? Then they were remade with NO SEASONING. the main part of coming to Zaxby's for fries is SEASONING. The girls up front as well as the manager we're very kind in fixing the matter but the kitchen needs to get it together. It is now 10:07 and I am standing outside the drive thru window waiting on a 3rd batch of fries and just now leaving due to the kitchen employees not doing what they're paid to do. Let me start off by saying that I love Zaxby's food. BUT, never go to this location on Zebulon Road. Every single time I go, something is either missing or not correct when I get home. You HAVE to sit there and take each item out and check it if you do not want to have to come all the way back to the store. And if you have to ask one of the teenagers who is working there a question, well, that is a problem. They know none of the answers! They ALWAYS have to get a manager for even simple questions. The food at the Zaxbys on Zebulon road has declined significantly. My food was not fresh at all. The fries were hard and stale! They literally looked two days old! I called the manager and he told me to come and get a free meal as a replacement so the next day I got the replacement meal and it was no different from the other meal! I live nearby so I have eaten here many times. The past several times we have eaten here, the chicken fingers have been overcooked and hard, and the fries usually lack much seasoning (and the seasoning they use is the only reason their fries taste good). The customer service is fine, but they need some work on consistently preparing their food correctly. We probably won't be back to this particular restaurant but still love Zaxbys. read more
