Really feel bad for the people who worked the night of June 22. I used the app to order for a family of 5, nothing too outrageous--a salad, quesadilla, tenders, & fries--around 9 pm. I gave them the extra time to make it, no rush. Showed up to pick up my order, they CANCELED MY ORDER. No message. No notification. No courtesy call. Had to wait in line over an hour in the drive thru to order and get food. I would have gone elsewhere after seeing that the line wasn't moving, but the family really wanted Zaxbys. They had a girl outside taking orders, not sure why bc it didn't speed anything up. Ordered extra sauces bc some in my family won't eat without sauce. Asked the girl at the window if the extra sauces were in the bag. She assured me she put them in. Got home, guess what?? NO SAUCES. ZERO. Not even the ones that were supposed to come with our meals. We stopped here on our final leg of our Drive Around America road trip. I am a fan of Zaxby's. It's a change from all the burger joints (but I like burgers). I always get the Blue Salad, but I substitute the sauce with a side of the Insane Sauce (.25 extra). Now that's a salad with a kick. Be careful, the Insane Sauce is for real. Use it sparingly. This place is filthy. Stopped in to get food and ended up not ordering food after visiting the men's restroom. Every door and window was also greasy with handprints. If the front of the house we can see is this nasty, one can only imagine what the back of the house looks like that we can't see. There were flies on the urinal and toilet. The store was empty with 1 car in the drive thru when we stopped. It is sad that a restaurant has gotten so used to not having to clean the front of the restaurant because all you did was drive thru business thru the pandemic. My wife picked up a Zensation salad and a Cobb salad to go. When she got home we realized the Zensation was missing the Asian slaw. Then we realized the Cobb salad was missing the eggs. I called and spoke to a manager and he confirmed they were not out of the slaw or the eggs, they just have poorly trained personnel who don't care about giving you what you pay for. I learned my lesson last night. Don't purchase chicken wings when the store about to close within the hour. Zaxby is one of my favorite and no matter where we are dependency of quality and consistent is expected. To my disappointment, yesterday, it was not. The chicken wings felt warmed which was strange. The color was off but being in a hotel where light is poor I didn't worry about it. I took a bite and it wasn't cooked through out. Raw chicken is a danger to everyone. Came in to have a quick lunch on our road trip and normally the food at Zaxby's is really good. Got cheddar bites and honey butter bacon sandwich and the Nashville hot sandwich. Well they rang up a meal for both I didn't realize till I got my food after waiting 15 minutes. Then the honey butter sandwich had too much sauce on it like dripping in honey. Came in here for the first time after a long drive from NC. Ordered the kickin' fried chicken on a Texas toast. It was wonderful, we also ordered mini chicken tender sandwiches and those were superb as well. The grilled chicken sandwich had raw chicken, my husband took it back, and got another kickin chicken. That one was also raw pink chicken. I took it back to the manager. He apologized, refunded my money and made me a new good sandwich. I understand raw chicken once but not twice with two dif types of chicken. I gave them 3 stars, one because the food really tasted good, and because the manager really apologized and made sure I know he would address the problem.
