I was confused at first as to how I didn't already have a review then realized this was the other location. So I am friends with the owners son and with that being said, I am no stranger to Rodeo and it's been a staple in my life for as long as I can remember. I don't live there anymore but still will find time to go back when I can and eat here. When my bf is with me and we're visiting, we almost always want Mexican and will find ourselves here. This particular day we were extra hungry and wanted to stop before getting into Valdosta hence why we stopped in Lake Park. This was delicious! On a road trip and stopped at this exit from US 75 with little time to grab something decent to eat and get back to travel. I ordered the burrito Cancun with steak and guacamole online and it was ready and perfect in 15 minutes. read more

We are not from this area and looking for a good Mexican restaurant to have dinner at. A person suggested Rodeo Mexican restaurant and we did. The parking lot was full and if you're driving anything bigger than a F150 you need to park in the lot next door in a closed restaurant. We were able to get a table right away. The place was busy, they have margaritas happy hour 4-6 @ 3.99 each. Plus they have a Texas margarita specials on Thursday's all day long for 4.99. We tried both. They are really good. I got dinner special #6. Two beef tacos that came with beans and rice. Wife got the Taquitos. Both Came out looking hot and amazing The Chicken taquitos came out perfect and there were 4 of them. We probably could have shared them, they were delicious. I got 2 tacos with beans and rice. Super good. Just a great atmosphere very family friendly. I have been to 90% of the Mexican restaurants in Valdosta and this is by far, my favorite! The food and margaritas are the best! I absolutely love that they have chicken tamales. I have a hard time finding those anywhere else. Even outside of valdosta. I would recommend the one in Valdosta instead of Lake Park, though. read more

This was, actually, my first Rodeo. Rodeo Mexican Restaurant, that is! And goodness gracious. What was meant to be a brief stop off the highway for lunch turned out to be some of the best enchiladas (queso) I've ever had. Just. Wow. Creamy cheese, slightly crisped at the edges tortillas that were not soggy, the perfect amount of sauce to accentuate but not overpower. How in the world can this restaurant have anything close to 5 stars? We drove through this little town on our way from Ft Lauderdale and stopped at the Rodeo Mex Restaurant and we're excited. But that enthusiasm quickly dissipated. Maybe it was just a bad day (restaurants are allowed to have them) but the server (who was friendly and has a kind voice) was sitting down at the table in front of us ~80% of the time on her phone. The Texas margarita we ordered was probably the worst margarita I've ever had. We ordered a pitcher and couldn't even finish 5% of it. They did take the drinks back but after that you could tell the server who literally sat (again) in the booth in front of us was annoyed and started talking about us as if we made the awful drink. The flavor of our steak burrito literally had none. The chips were stale. We did unfortunately have more food that we ordered and I could go on with this review but I'll just leave it at: never again....ever. Sadly there's a Taco Bell across the street & I'm sure has way more flavor. read more

Stopped here for dinner on the way to my grandparents house to spend Thanksgiving. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's obviously a favorite with the locals because it was PACKED when we arrived. There's a decent sized menu with a great selection of food, from fajitas and burritos to quesadillas and tacos. 24 combination plates to choose from, and enough meat choices to satisfy everyone with steak, shrimp, chicken and seafood. They serve Pepsi products and it looks as though they've got a full bar, in addition to the usual margaritas and sangria. Chips and salsa when you sit, and the salsa is pretty good. It's no gourmet, but satisfying. I definitely ate enough of it to know. I ordered the Santa Fe Quesadilla with steak, and it had red onions, green bell peppers and cheese. A chipotle sauce was served on that side, but that was unremarkable. The rice and guacamole on the side were also pretty good, but nothing special. All in all, good food. It's no California or Texas, but it's darn good Tex-Mex for South Georgia. I'd definitely eat here again, even if I wouldn't write home about it. read more

Cute Mexican restaurant complete with Mexican music and all Mexican waitstaff and cooks. Incredibly good lunch specials. Today being Friday, we had the $4.85 lunch special of one enchilada, one taco and one quesadilla, all with your choice of beef or chicken. Tasty and so very much better than Taco Bell ever is (which was directly across the street). Great full bar, many drink specials, dinner specials, dozens of flavored margaritas. It being 10/18 they had the entire place decorated with Halloween/Día se la muerte decorations. Fast service, tasty food, free chips and salsa, and close to I-75. Felicidades! read more

This restaurant has a great potential! Nicely decorated in true Mexican style it has an expansive menu with lunch and drink specials as well as a happy hour. We ordered shrimp fajitas, one regular and one tropical style with pineapples. It came with a side of rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole and tortillas. The guacamole was not fresh, it tasted sour. I couldn't eat it and I love guacamole! My mango margarita was pretty good. The restaurant is conveniently located off highway 75 on the boarder of Georgia and Florida. We stopped to eat lunch here on our way to Florida and overall were pretty satisfied. The food is good just different Mexican than I'm used too, their Chile Relleno had a meat filling and I'm used to cheese so a lot of the dishes were good just not what I consider Mexican but maybe it's because I developed my taste in Juarez and Tijuana which I'm sure have American influences.
