Love this place, I love their chips and queso, and quesadillas. My husband gets the steak burrito. The people that service you are always kind. The price is a bit expensive, but worth it and it depends on what you get too. If I get a regular quesadilla and his burrito and chips and queso and 2 drinks, it's usually almost 50 dollars, so when we have extra money, we like to go there. read more

Surcheros Fresh Mex - Pulled it out of my togo order.... - Tex-Mex Near Me - Valdosta, Georgia

This one just doesn't seem to be as good as the others we've eaten at. We usually love our meals at Sucheros but it's when they're at the other locations. The past two have been at this one and both have been underwhelming. I live and work close to where the Alpharetta location is supposed to be coming. I sure hope it's run better than this location. read more

Eaten here tons of times and honestly love it. Great food and typically great service. I ordered the chicken taco special but was told I had to get soft shells instead of crunchy even though the sign clearly just said tacos. First time ever I was charged incorrectly for 3 different items. Since you only see amounts and not items it's hard to identify errors until you receive the receipt. About half way thru our meal before I realized the errors and they were busy I waited until we completed our food before bringing it to their attention. I had to explain the errors 3 different times - one of which was a medium queso that I ordered and didn't receive - I instead received a small which I was also charged for. Finally a manager was called who decided to give me a medium queso to go instead of refunding me. The other two issues (had a coupon got free small queso but was charged and was charged for extra meat but didn't order it - were never addressed. I asked about them again but just received a blank look. They did ask for the wrapper but one had been discarded and I brought the other that they never looked at. I was just over it at this point and left. Disappointing considering how often we eat there. A few simple overcharges that could have just been simply refunded (even on a gc) turned into something so complicated. Guess lesson learned to check receipts immediately. read more

I'd say I'd rate than -5 stars for food preparation and looked at the display of food and cheese in as in the salsa dish and the iceberg lettuce was browning and told me they have no cilantro rice and processed to put my order on wait for a online burrito and filled it with whatever was left over in the cilantro rice .. yeah don't order online .. also the guacamole was nothing left and asked if I wanted any I said we'll do you have more they said no ... they also got a b on the food inspection with food being wrong temps read more

Surcheros Fresh Mex - a drink in a plastic cup - Tex-Mex Near Me - Valdosta, Georgia

Very clean establishment. It was a busy Sunday lunch crowd but the line moved pretty quickly. The staff were very friendly and polite. The food was wonderful and tasted fresh. I went in thinking this was like chipotle, and in essence it is, but much better! Way more options than chipotle. I had the nachos with chicken and my husband had a carnitas burrito. Note: I did opt to have the queso for my nachos on the side because I don't like my chips getting soggy and also I'm lactose intolerant so I can minimize how much queso I eat this way. We also opted for the s'mores dessert quesadilla. The food was so good. The only thing I would change is the dessert option. I love all things s'mores so I was excited to try this option but I think something more like cinnamon/sugar tortilla chips with a fruit salsa would be better. The s'mores quesadilla just wasn't all that great but it's the only complaint I have. Overall it was a great first experience with Surcheros. read more

This place was filled with people, the line was slow, and the workers were deaf. I asked for my burrito not grilled and the lady grilled my burrito while staring at me the entire time. Before i could say something it was too late. The food wasnt good beside that, thankyou surcheros. read more

Been here multiple times but no longer. Shrinkflation is too much, when an ice cream scoop of steak is 5 bucks it's time to leave. No way a burrito with no drink and a measly amount of meat is 15 dollars with 0 extras. I will never come back, burritos down the road is a better price and you get way more. read more

I'll admit to being pleasantly surprised! The short version of this review - it's good. Go there, eat there. Let's get the comparisons with Chipotle out of the way first - because of course it's glaringly obvious that this is a South Georgian version of the nationwide chain ... BUT ... it's much better ... if for NO OTHER REASON than the fact that they offer "mini" versions of all their entrees. I don't WANT a humongous "THUMP" burrito. I want something smaller with fewer calories so I don't feel bad about myself after eating it. Surcheros has that in their "mini" burrito and I'm very happy with that. Please don't let the "mini" put your off - it's a perfectly normally sized burrito and they DON'T skimp on the toppings. We came there with the big family on a Saturday evening - the service at the Valdosta branch was quick and wonderful. The people making our food smiled and dealt with our numerous children and first timers who couldn't figure out what they want. They informed us about the "different" things than Chipotle (grilling my onions and jalapeños? yes please). All the food was great. I love it. This is going in to my regular rotation when I'm visiting the family in Valdosta. read more

Surcheros Fresh Mex - Everyone enjoying their meal! - Tex-Mex Near Me - Valdosta, Georgia

I got food poisoning from this place. I'm not sure what happened with the preparation of the food, but something went wrong somewhere. I have eaten at this location many times with no issue. Last night I ordered a burrito bowl and now I have food poisoning. I know it came from the food because I hadn't eaten anything other than surcheros that day read more

Surcheros coming to town literally improved my quality of life in Valdosta At least once a week, I order a burrito online. It's super easy to run in and grab my order and skip the long lines. Their ingredients are always fresh, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Try the Surcheros sauce and get your veggies warmed up on the grill - yum! read more

When this Tex-Mex place opened they were all the rage. The place was packed and rightly so, because they use high quality ingredients and make a really great burrito. Plus the place is always clean and most of the time, the staff is competent and helpful. The time I went before today, I found a long hair in my food. The manager was super cool about it, offered me a replacement at no cost. And then today.... really? We ordered 12" burritos and I've posted a picture of what we received. This is exactly half the size of what their 12" burrito used to be. When they first opened, they made the burritos that were actually 12", and we used to eat half and save the other half for later. The luster is gone and they are not as packed as they used to be. Sadly, they seem to be on the same path as the Cactus Flower. read more

Surcheros Fresh Mex - This should not be sold as a 12" burrito, Surcheros. - Tex-Mex Near Me - Valdosta, Georgia

Today was my first time eating at a Sercheros and I'm blow away. The food was amazing, I kept eating even though I was full. The food tasted so fresh. The workers all greeted us and had a smile on their face. The restaurant was VERY clean. read more

It's good. Really nice taste, but the portions are up for question. I ordered a burrito bowl online and customized it to my needs. The process was very easy. Because this is much like a Chipotle, next time I'll probably walk in and order to watch their portions and ask for more if necessary. read more

Not bad. A bit pricey. But the service is chick fil a quality. Guy remade my burrito because it looked off. Wish they sold more 1950s portions than the 2018 obesity epidmic portions that the former first lady failed to solve. Thanks Obama. read more

Everything was FABULOUS! Y'all know I love my Mexican/Tex mex so this was right up my ally. I had original plans to go someone else for lunch but it was way too crowded so this was our backup and it was meant to be. The Lord knew where we really wanted to be. There was a long line when we got there but it moved fairly quickly and it gave us time to finally, after going back and forth, to decide what we wanted. I'm usually all for the tacos but after seeing the pictures and realizing you only get 2 tacos per order, I was a little turned off and decided to go with the nachos and I'm so glad I did. I would say they have the usual choice of toppings but what caught my attention is that you can have some of them sautéed in a sauce of your choice. How yummy is that?! And the queso?! OMG. Talk about yummy!! I haven't had much cheese dip that tastes as good as theirs. Also, cheese dip comes automatically with the nachos BUT you have the choice to either have them put it on or get it on the side and they aren't stingy with it at all. I could live off queso so that little bit made my heart very happy. Everything was seasoned so perfectly and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Prices were reasonable and customer service was awesome, not just saying that because I know some of them. 5/5 id recommend Surcheros and I'll most def be coming back when in town again. read more

Surcheros Fresh Mex - Surcheros Nachos w/ chicken and the queso on top - Tex-Mex Near Me - Valdosta, Georgia

Way better than Chipotle in Valdosta. Surcheros actually has chips and doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

I'm so happy this place came to Valdosta!! Good, fresh food. The only down side is that at lunch time they are PACKED. It's in a good area so I think many people choose to go on their lunch break because it's convenient. I ordered online and it is way faster than going in and waiting in line. They have a salsa bar as well which is good. I've never actually eaten inside but there seems to be a lot of room. I really do recommend this place if you want a good, fresh and relatively fast lunch. read more

Great food, friendly staff, and very clean!! Highly recommend if you're in the mood for a healthy bowl!!

Tried a burrito bowl yesterday for the first time, and as a Chipotle advocate I was actually pretty impressed! I give them the edge over Burritos Mexican Grill in terms of freshness, I just wish they had more meat options (chorizo, barbacoa, maybe carnitas). The portions were smaller than than both a Chipotle and BMG, but the fact that it comes with chips/salsa makes up for it! Will def be frequenting Surcheros read more

Surcheros has amazing staff. They are always so friendly, kind, and make my day better. It has become one of my favorite places to eat especially when I need to grab something quick. read more

Visited this establishment for the first time with my family. Most of the people I've spoken with were more than excited about telling me about this place. SADLY, I guess I have taste buds that work because this food was bland as baby food. Only three choice of meat, but in reality steak and ground beef are basically the same so... only two choices I guess. So mostly I guess my review of for the people who like tasty food and not this sad excuse for a burrito, don't waste your time. read more

Very tasty and fresh. Reasonable pricing. Clean and friendly staff. I loved the chips which were made fresh and so thin and crispy. My husband and I both got a burrito 2 drinks and queso and spent under $20 with our military discount which was I think 10 percent. Before we left someone came around asking if we wanted a drink refill and more chips. Great food & great service. read more

Love this spot. Similar to Chipotle or Willys, Moes. Very clean, good service. Many, many toppings. We all had the burrito bowls. Everything is fresh. read more

This place blows other burrito bars out of the water! After Moe's changed their chicken, I thought I'd forever be deprived of a great burrito bar. (Don't talk to me about Barberito's or Chipotle.) But Surcheros gave me hope again! The menu is simple -- covers all the basics with all the fixings to make your order totally customizable. The grilled chicken quesadilla was the perfect size (the mini wouldn't have quite satisfied), and the mini nachos were more than plenty for a meal or a shareable. The toppings were all fresh and served up generously. The staff were so nice, as well. The cashier carried our food to our table, and another employee came around to our table to check on us. My only regret is not trying the s'mores quesadilla. Next time! read more

Chicken was dry but the veggies were fresh and the place was clean and staff was very friendly. The pico salsa was on the hot side!

This place is great! The food is always very good, though sometimes you have to wait in line. It is worth the wait to get fresh food and great service! The surchuros sauce is amazing and they always have good weekly deals! The garlic salsa is amazing as well!! The only down fall is the cheese dip which is also great, is kinda expensive. read more

This establishment is very rude. When I walked in for a pick up order I went to the area designated and while I waited I was asked by two separate employees if I was here for door dash. Yet, the person of a different ethnicity behind was not asked once. Then I was the last person to be served even though I had called a little while earlie (it's understandable they were busy). However, while I was waiting in the pick up area there was liquid from the ceiling dripping on me. Once I addressed this issue with an employee stated "yeah it's just something that happens". I finally about to pay but she had to finish putting away they put queso all over the take out cup so I kindly asked her to wipe it off and she had an attitude. I will no longer be supporting this company because of this behavior from the staff. read more

My first time at Surcheros was enjoyable! It was busy since my coworkers went at lunchtime but the service was quick. The employees working the food line were very friendly and gave me suggestions on which items to get for my nachos. I had the mini portion since I was told that the larger size is enough for 2 people and it was quite filling. The food is definitely fresh, as advertised and everything was delicious! No complaints. read more

I love the food don't get me wrong !! But the service always stinks !! It does not matter the time of day I go in. I am constantly rushed to decide what i want. There could be no one behind me and i still get a dirty look when i take longer than 2.5 seconds to decide. Customers want time to decide. I understand you need to move fast but please slow done and give your customers a little bit of attention. read more

Food is good, inside is always clean, skimpy of the amount of meat that is given to you. They load you with chips and vegetables to the top so there is a plus. The best part of this place is they give you guac, sour cream, and queso. They also have a huge variety of hot sauce. Overall would highly recommend and would not hesitate to eat here over and over again. read more

Decided to stop by this restaurant one day after going to Smallcakes. I was NOT disappointed. I got the burrito bowl with steak. The meat wasn't tough it was very soft and the rice was just perfect. The guac is really good and so is the queso. A small container with the chips cam really fill you up. The salsas we not watery. They are pretty thick and spicy. The lines move pretty fast and all the employees are very friendly. The only thing and i don't know if it is just me and my shoes but the floor close to the soda machine and near salsa bar is a little slippery. I will be returning. read more

Food was pretty good, but they are very slow and need more people on the line to make things a quicker.

This is one of my family's favorite places in town! We go there at least once a week. The food is consistently fresh, tasty, abundant, and DELISH! The customer service is outstanding. The folks are cheerful and can make suggestions if you want! They come around the restaurant offering more chips, refills, etc. I love Surcheros! read more

Pretty good and fast. They have different weekly specials as well which is nice. It's around 7-10 bucks a person which is bad either for the quality of the food. read more

The worst dining experience I've had in quite a while. All items that should have been warm were cool, cheese would not even melt over grilled chicken and rice. Cleanliness seemed far from a concern for the team behind the counter. Lids of beans and rice had hardened juice crusted on them, a mysterious liquid ran nearly the entire service bar. Along with a small patch of slimy brown film near the tortilla warmer. In the cold serve area, nearly every vegetable was contaminated by its neighbor on the bar. The sneeze guard was covered in a layer of dust and floor littered with chips. I will not be back no mater what is said in response as I've worked in food service and can tell this was not a isolated incident, but a lack of management and control. read more

Best burrito in town. Always fresh and friendly. Great family atmosphere. Haven't had a negative experience yet.

Beware of Surcheros now! They just started charging customers for a CUP of Water! To top that off, they try to "sneak" it on the register without even telling you! read more
