When I joined this practice about 2 years ago, I thought I found the office I'd always dreamed of.. one that treats you like family and puts care and passion into what they do. Not sure why, but I've had some scheduling problems with Andrea, the front desk lady. When I was pregnant we pushed my x rays until June- my baby was due in May. A month later I got a reminder phone call about my past due x days. No... I was pregnant and we rescheduled. Fast forward. 2 hours before my most recent visit I get a call saying I owed a few hundred dollars for white fillings. That their office still offers silver fillings. I have my moral viewpoints on silver fillings and i refuse! Why are you telling me two hours before my a lot, when I've gotten a sitter for my baby, taken off work and moved my schedule to be available when scheduled! I then called my dental insurance and it's covered. What the heck? I asked to speak to Dr. Zauderer (with my sister on the phone as well) and i got YELLED at and told my opinions were - and I quote "bologna ". Well, I didn't ask you to scrutinize, raise your voice, argue and judge me for something that's important to me. Your practice already knows I refuse fluoride, why can't you respect my feelings and lifestyle choices? Needless to say, I've left this practice and won't return. I have been coming here for years and have not had a single issue! I love my hygienist Amanda she is so sweet and cares about the patient! As for Dr. Z, I had a major toothache and when I came in before the office even opened (by accident because google advertised the wrong hours) he was more than accommodating and took me in right away without question! My brother and I were extremely impressed with the care, respect and accommodation delivered by Dr. Zauderer and Amanda (hygienist). AND THEY TAKE MASS HEALTH! He had not been to a dentist in five years, and was feeling extremely anxious about this visit. Who EVER likes going to the dentist anyway? He was treated extremely gentle and respectfully, and all information (and there was quite a bit to explain) was explained thoroughly. He feels comfortable and confident to return next week, and for future visits for work to be done. Prior to the visit, Andrea was kind and polite and easy to work with to get the proper insurance information relayed, and to get a convenient appointment time set up. Doctor Z has been my family dentist for the past 15 years. In my opinion, he and his staff are top notch. Although most of my visits are for routine cleanings, any dental work such as fillings and crowns have been performed in a flawless manner. Doctor Z explains the work to be done and the results have been outstanding. He is truly a perfectionist and it shows in his work. My dental hygienist is the absolute best. She's so friendly and is very gentle and thorough with each cleaning. The reception and billing personnel are very friendly and easy to work with. He has a woman from Europe that is nice enough she gave me good advice on an electric toothbrush. She kinda ripped my mouth apart I really wanted to stop but she continued which was prob for the best but she was a bit rough. No problem with her demeanor as the Doctor actually saw me before the cleaning and told me my teeth looked terrible and after she told me they were fine he just want used to seeing people before a cleaning. Can't really recommend, or not recommend. They're friendly enough and I really like my hygienist. But, Doctor Z is rude and Incredibly condescending to all his staff, don't be surprised if he snaps at them right in front of you. He hums or sings along to every song, regardless of what he's doing, including while he's working in your mouth. He's also very very rough , my cheeks always hurt after leaving there. I've been a patient of Dr. Zauderer for years. Regarding cleaning, he and his hygienist staff are thorough and professional. Absolutely no complaints there. Most recently, I was fitted for a "Silent Nite:" a snore-guard appliance. Within a few days of making the request, I was in his chair for a fitting. A week after that, the appliance arrived, and he took the time to use his dental tools to make sure the molding was shaped perfectly (to ensure a natural bite) so that it wouldn't leave me with sore jaw muscles in the morning. The appliance works great (and my wife sleeps better), as advertised. Like another reviewer, I don't understand why his practice gets low ratings. I would recommend them. read more

Dr. Z is an okay dentist, but I have had multiple billing errors over the past 3 years my family has been with him. It is a total nightmare trying to get any *accurate* information out of Andrea, the receptionist, about whether a procedure is covered or not under insurance. I have been billed for what should have been 100% covered because they used the wrong code. When my employer switched insurance providers, I checked with Andrea if they still are covered, and she said yes. Turns out they were covered as "premium" providers. I ended up getting billed $340 when I should have paid $140. She offered to take $40 off if I paid cash. I refused because I would rather settle the bill properly in the right way instead of having the settlement not recognized and getting billed for it again. Their billing company is separate and independent. I STRONGLY advise you not to give them your business - it has been a constant irritant for 3 years. read more

I had some intensive work done by Marc and always had a pleasant experience with him and his office staff. Yes he does hum to the songs playing but that never bothered me in fact I enjoyed the oldies that were playing. I would recommend anyone to have work done there. If his staff had a problem with the way he talks they would be able to voice an opinion about it. The women working the front desk was always happy and helpful. First time I went was to replace a crown. They told me it would be $500 if I paid in cash. A couple days before my appointment his receptionist called and said I needed to bring the $500 in then. Why couldn't I just pay it when I come in for my appointment? Why make a special trip there to pay before my appointment? Very inconsiderate and inconvenient! But I made the special trip there to take the cash to her. Then I go for my appointment. At this appointment he tells me I need one filling. His receptionist looks up my cost for a filling. I make the appointment. At the appointment she again tells me the cost, the same as she told me the first time. I paid in full again. A few months later I get a very rude, unprofessional letter saying I had not made a payment on my account for awhile. What?? I do not have an account! I paid in full both times! I called the office three times to talk to the office manager and all three times she was not there because she left work early. So on the fourth try I reminded the receptionist I paid in full the two times I was there but I was sent this extremely rude letter saying I have a balance. So she says she will check on it. She calls me back and said there was two mistakes they made. The first one was an over charge on the crown so she took it off, the second one she said she told me the wrong cost on the filling. I said you looked it up before my appointment and at my appointment and gave me the same price both times. How did you make the mistake twice? Of course she didn't know. So paying in full at the time of service both times and they made errors both times. Dealing with all of that caused extreme inconvenience to me by the office staff. The dentist himself was very strange. He sang while he worked on me which I thought was unprofessional. He was much rougher than my previous dentist, (because of insurance changes my previous dentist was no longer in network). Unfortunately, I had to give one star because NO stars is not an option. I used this practice in an emergency for tooth pain. The procedure was very expensive. The entire time I sat there I had to listen to him be condescending to his staff and to me. I was told a follow up was no expense because it was "just a look", yet I've been charged up the rear end for one. This guy is a total jerk and out to take you for as much money as possible. I haven't completed my procedure, as I am currently trying to pay off what I had done here. When I can scrape the cash together, my teeth will be worked on elsewhere. Never again. read more

I have been a patient here for years, and have had great experiences every single time! The staff is friendly and Dr. Zauderer is a GREAT dentist. He's kind, wonderful with my children, and does meticulous work. I have needed a few cavities fixed in the last couple of years, and Dr. Zauderer's work was absolutely amazing, and the process was painless and quick. He also fixed a cavity for one of my kids, and he was great with her, working through her fear. She would not have made it through the process without Dr. Z's encouragement. His staff is also wonderful - from the kind and gentle hygienists to the wonderful office manager/front office staff. I'm telling you - I have never found getting my teeth cleaned to be an enjoyable experience until I became a patient here. They are quick and painless, and the hygienists are wonderful! I've never had a dentist tell me to shut up while I was sitting in the chair trying to explain my problem...that was a big red flag. That was one of the better parts of my experience. The employees who work the front desk are completely incompetent. I handed them two types of dental insurance and told them which order to use them. They only used one (the wrong one) and called and harassed us constantly to pay the remaining bill. Now, about a year later, all of the fillings Dr. Z has put in have chipped out or fallen out. I spent $$$'s in his office, and he always finds a new tooth to work on. After every cleaning I get a new problem, he did 2 crowns, he did 3 root canals for me, one of them on my front teeth, which is now becoming black. And now he has a new offer for me, to do the crown!!?? He said it wont turn black if he does the job well, now (a year later) is becoming darker and darker, and he has new ideas for me. I have been going to Dr. Z's now for almost 5 years and I would recommend him to anyone. Whether an adult or child he has the best care and staff in this area by far. He is able to get me in on time and minimize the time I take out of work to get my care. He has been able to diagnose any problems that I have had and fix each issue as they come up. He has also been able to provide me great preventative care by showing me early signs of potential problems down the line and help me to curve the habits. Saving me money in the long run. I had an appointment to get my fillings done on my front tooth and my bottom back teeth. We took x-rays and the Dr himself told me it would be a normal filling for them and wouldn't cost me anything out of pocket since my insurance covered it. He then tells me a few minutes into drilling that he has to put a post in my tooth so I won't lose my tooth. Which I later found out was a lie. When we were all done he tells me that my insurance won't cover since it was a different procedure. I told him that I couldn't afford the $350 dollars right there so he told me to pay $100 so I paid half and that I'd pay the other half on my next visit. That was another lie because I got hit with a huge bill for my filling. When I called to get a clarification it was very difficult and the ladies answering the phones were rude. I refuse to pay them a penny and I don't recommend anyone to this dentist. He's a snake. read more
