I had a very frustrating experience with Dr. Patel regarding a crown procedure. My first crown at…read morethis office done by a different dentist was completed perfectly no gum pain, no swelling, no sensitivity, and no bite issues. Because of that positive experience, I expected similar care with my second crown. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I had to return approximately six times for adjustments related to my right and left crown. During this time, I was unable to chew on my right side for nearly three weeks. As a result of compensating by chewing only on my left, my left molar filling eventually failed and had to be redone. The second crown procedure was extremely uncomfortable. After placement, I experienced ongoing pain when chewing, specifically along the gum line, as if the tooth was pressing into the gum tissue. It felt bruised or cut. I repeatedly requested that the crown be properly measured and adjusted not just the bite, but also the inside/top surface, which was rubbing against my tongue and causing a noticeable lisp. Although the bite was adjusted, the internal contour issue was not corrected despite multiple requests. Instead, the conversation repeatedly shifted toward discussing the possibility of a root canal. I found this concerning, as I did not have these issues prior to the crown placement. My discomfort appeared mechanical in nature (fit and contour), not nerve-related. I clearly communicated what I was feeling it is my mouth, and I know when something feels uneven. The crown on the right side feels smaller compared to the left when I run my tongue across it. Despite multiple measurements and visits, the problem remains unresolved. I am disappointed with the inconsistency in care and being transferred between different providers instead of continuing with the dentist who did my first successful crown. I expected precision and follow-through, especially after multiple return visits. Patients deserve to feel heard and to have fit-related concerns fully addressed before being advised toward more invasive procedures.

I get cleanings every 6 months and have never had any issues. Everyone is super friendly, it's easy to make an appointment, and I never feel rushed if I have questions. I live further away than I used to, but I'll continue coming here because it's hard to find a trusted dentist/doctor nowadays.

I later was told I can only be a patient if I do not cancel again. mind you we have been a patient for years w 0 issue. we paid the fee to be reinstate being a patients. we were all seen numerous times since w no issue. this past week I had to cancel again due to a medic issue. I spoke w receptionist explained and asked if this was ok due to what happened over the winter I was reassured no issue at all and she kindly resched. the following weekend received a certified fired from the practice again letter. I called this am to explain what had happened, the male receptionist could care less. hardly listened. I cancelled my entire families future appts. he said he'd get to it. medical emergencies are out of patients hands sometimes. as I was a patient there there were a few occasions they canceled appts due to weather or other circumstances which I understood and never once complained. this entire situation clarified my family and I were just a number in this place not patients they care for. we already found a new place who were kind and understanding. I explained what happened at this place and they said not to worry they would understand if medical issues came up. drumhill dental dentist would talk to me and my daughter about heir lives and their children while at appts, it's shocking this is how their staff treats patients.

I decided it was time to have them pulled and get dentures and eventually implants. I knew it would not be a walk in the park, I also know that humans make mistakes. After a full extraction, tori removed and then an alveoloplasty surgery. It was finally time to start my permanent dentures, which are signature elites. Spent 6 days in a row going in for castings, fitting ect. The day they were ready I went in and Dr. Zhiqiang Huang had left to see family in another country. So Dr. Alexandra Zarifis was the one to deliver my permanent dentures, which I am now in my bedroom crying from the pain that is radiating down the side of my face into my jaw, my gums are burning and I can not even think straight. Dr. Alexandra Zarifis Couldn't get my permanent in my mouth, but she kept pushing ignoring me saying "No please that hurts" She wanted to adjust them, which allowed them to go in but not without passing the through the pain and pushing past my bone. The next morning I screamed as I put them in, the pain I felt immediately after extraction and having to take them in and out. The jump everytime I talk and move, I can't eat again and now have problems swallowing. The ulcers, redness, bone I have had crack off my jaw last night, crying in pain, the constant throbbing. I NEVER thought I'd feel this again. I thought the painful, hard part was over. Did I expect to be sore, yes but this type of pain, absolutely not. She prescribed me ibuprofen 800 which don't even get rid of my headache. She told me that unfortunately that's all that Aspen allows. Ummm. I've had 19, PLUS Tori and then another surgery for alveoloplasty. I have bone ripping through my gums. AGAIN The pain is radiating down my face and now when I take them out, the pain doesn't go away. I can't eat even with my gums now. If she thought I would not go home and research Aspen dentals guidelines, she was sadly mistaken. How about a doctors code of ethics? I have those memorized from being my dying mothers healthcare proxy and caregiver. A doctor's code of ethics is not something Aspen can overrule. I'm willing to guess Aspen knows this from reading their GUIDELINES. I have dealt with far to many doctors saying things that are untrue, regardless if its intentional or not. I would like to add that Dr. Zhiqiang Huang and his other staff did everything possible to work with through this process.
