The worst customer service experience ever when it comes to in store pick up and return! The store didn't open on time, though there were roughly a dozen employees busying themselves, they chose to ignore the 5 customers standing outside the gate for nearly 5 minutes. Apparently they were redoing their displays hence the store being in complete disarray... Upon noticing a few of us carrying items, we are asked "do you have a return"? Returns are processed upstairs...so we all are invited to walk 3 floors up...even though there is an open register with 2 clerks doing nothing?! Take the walk of shame up 3 flights, thank you! Then, I also had to collect an item (purchased on-line for in store pick up) and now told, you have to go downstairs to pick it up, then come back up to return?! You don't have the email with the QR Code? OK, sign up for the Zara App to obtain it?! I mean seriously?! OK, sorry, will never shop here again... read more

I am extremely disappointed with Zara's customer service and policies. First, I went to the store during posted business hours, only to find it closed, which is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Second, I purchased a pair of shoes that turned out to be defective, and when I tried to return them (unworn with tags), I was denied because I was outside the 30-day return window. I didn't need a refund as I always shop there so a store credit would've been okay by me. The sales associate was unhelpful and told me to call customer service, which I did. However, customer service told me I needed to go back to the store to speak with a manager. This back-and-forth is unacceptable, especially since the store is 40 minutes away from my home. I was sold a faulty product, yet Zara gave me no viable solution and left me with misinformation and wasted time. Lastly, every experience seems to be right in par with this one. It's hard to find a sales rep and if you do they are so unfriendly and not helpful. I dread when I need assistance. I return because I do like the brand but I think this may be my last time. Well my YELPies, ZARA has done it AGAIN! I was browsing online and BOOM.. these pants spoke to me. I decided to do a mobile order and pick up in the store. It took less than a week and Zara was emailing me that my item was in. The email gives you a barcode and directions to the 2nd floor to mobile pickup. I was greeted by this beautiful human who asked for the bar code and quickly went to retrieve my item. I was asked if I wanted to try them on before leaving the store if so, they would make sure I got a fitting room. THIS is AMAZING customer service. When I tell you.. I ALWAYS love my shopping experience in Zara but, this experience solidified why they will continue to get my business and why I purchased other items while there. The quality of clothing and the aesthetic of the store is top notch and the prices aren't bad either. If you haven't stopped in Zara, you need to. I'm not sure why there are so many low rated reviews, but every time I've stepped into this store, it has been a decent experience. I will say that it's not customer service friendly with being greeted or helped, but their quality seems decent with some great textures and unique fabrics. Consider it being left alone to actually shop. Price is a but expensive, but that's moving into the middle/higher end of materials and designs. Summer line is released with a lot of natural and bright colors, definitely a lot of crochet items. They did have some broken glass in the front of their store on the men's side, but imagining someone got upset. read more

The customer service here is awful and it all starts with poor management. First of all, you can't tell who works there because they don't do anything to offer help or any type of customer service and those who were wearing uniforms were just in white t shirts and navy pants. No name tags or anything to make them stand out. Second, when we went to go try on clothes, the staff all talks to each other in another language and doesn't acknowledge the customer Red until it's time to tell them a room is open. No help whatsoever with different sizes or anything. My daughter finally walked out of her room to go find someone to help her and she asked if they could get her another size. The gal looked at the rack of returned items from the dressing room and told her no! That was it. She didn't even look in the store - only the dressing g room returned items. ‍. We ended up buying several items and after looking on our own for different sizes, we had to order one thing online at the register. Well, the gal ordered the size we gave her for reference instead of the correct size. We noticed it after we looked at the receipt a few minutes after leaving the store. My daughter went back and no one would help her so she called me and I went in. After talking to the gal who did the order (which by the way, she was the only nice person there) she needed help from her manager. The GM came over and said we couldn't get a refund and exchange for the correct size. We had to call a number to do it and when we did, they were closed. Then we were told we would have to get the item and return it back yo a store and try to cancel the order the next day. The issue was that we don't live near a Zara as we were traveling. They were not willing g to help us at all. I asked if they could order her the correct size and cancel the order themselves since it was their mistake and again, no help and extremely rude. The GM said she was confident we could still cancel it the next day and again I asked her since she was do sure, can they just reorder the correct size and cancel it - again it was their mistake and we caught it within minutes of our purchase! Nope! So I asked for her name so when I dud call, we could let them know is sho we talked to and she refused and said she is the GM and that's all I needed to know. We could not believe how rude she was. I snapped a pic of her so we could show corporate or whoever who we were talking to and she lost it and told us to get out of the store. We have never, ever had such a terrible customer service experience anywhere! We shop here in Cancun and other places our travels have taken us over the years and this was awful. We called the next day as told to go and of course, it was too late. The item is getting g shipped out in the wrong size and it's against policy to return it by mail. In store only. One of the only store in Phoenix area is located in the Scottsdale mall. This 2 floor store has women's wear at the lower floor and men's, kids on the top floor. The customer service is friendly, the design of the store can get confusing specially during the sale season. The collection is alright and you can find better ones online. The cost of the items are always the best during Zara sale. That said the best of the fits can be found for non sale items. I genuinely don't understand how this Zara location is this bad. It's the only one in Arizona, so if you want to shop here, you're stuck with it. The store is often a mess -- not just cluttered, but Walmart-on-Black-Friday levels of chaos. It's not always like that, but it's not rare either. Need help? Bring a folding chair, because you'll be ignored. If you order online for in-store pickup, the email will direct you to the wrong place. Despite what the email says they will send you to the women's changing room to pickup an online order, which is incredibly uncomfortable for a man to linger in. I'm sure the women undressing on the other side of the curtains don't appreciate it either. Meanwhile, multiple employees will stand nearby and pretend you don't exist. I once picked up an online order and discovered they gave me the wrong item. I waited 20 minutes in a return line -- on another floor -- while employees came and went, two of them literally standing in front of me, doing nothing, other than scrolling on their phones. One behind the counter loudly complained about customers. The employee who finally helped me took a personal call during the return process. I never got a confirmation email, so I went back, waited again, and learned he never processed the return. He allegedly fixed it -- but the email I received was for a completely different item I didn't even buy. Another time, after waiting in the checkout line for 30 minutes, the cashiers told us they were done for the day and kicked everyone out -- 30 minutes before closing. The fitting rooms? Same issue. Employees would rather pretend you're not there than help. These aren't one-offs. I've had multiple experiences like this. The staff here have been consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. This review isn't about Zara or its merchandise because I love Zara, both online/stores. I've shopped at many Zara stores in multiple states and countries. When I'm traveling, I almost ALWAYS make time to visit a Zara when there is a store located in that city. But Zara Scottsdale is by far the WORST Zara I've been to. Their customer service is horrible and don't even think to return an item in the store, because the line can be a mile long and only one unhappy person at the counter doing returns. I came to this store because there was a cologne my son liked. The price was ok but what despise is cocky, arrogant kids at the customer service area. Asked where to checkout, he rolled his eyes and pointed "here" with a look of making me feel stupid. This was one of our Zara experiences that we never thought it would be. First of all this store does not look premium at all for what Zara is famous for. Probably an old store. Anyways my wife started selecting the dresses she liked and when we went to the store room, we were asked to go to the 2nd floor as they were closing the 1st-floor changing room. On going above, another staff told that they are closing 2nd floor one too and there are no changing rooms. I wonder what was the reason. Mmmm.. the store seemed like it was being run by young high school girls or college students. It was dirty.. a lot of clothes lying around, unfolded, on the floors, so it gave the look of there being a recent stampede and no one had time to straighten out the store. Firstly you cannot return or exchange things in the store if ordered online so let me save you the time there. Secondly, you have to check out on your own. It's extremely impersonal. Lastly you're paying $35 for jogging pants... this place is a sign of what's to come for in store retail. Why not just buy online? We had ordered the expensive sweats for our daughter. We actually bought them on Christmas for her. She was with my ex until the second week in January. She tried on the pants mid Jan for the very first time. They didn't fit her, so I told her the next time we have her we will go to Fashion Square and return in store. We had no idea you couldn't do that and also didn't know you have 30 days to return or you're stuck with their garbage, I mean clothes. We called customer service as we were one day late to this window. It literally expired on 1/25 and we went when I had my daughter again on 1/26. They declined our request to return these pants. For the past 10 years most of my gifts and personal clothing I've purchased at Zara. I ordered a top and although it had the tag on it, there was makeup all around the neckline when I received it in the mail. I returned the top with several other items all with the tags on them. There was a pink halter top, a pink v long sleeve jacket; none of these items I received and returned had make up on them. If I tried all of them on how would I just get makeup on one top(?) Even though it should not matter after being a long time customer and never having this happen before, Zara should accept the return. Zara would not take the top back and returned it to me. After explaining if I had worn it with the tags on why did none of the other items have makeup on them. I am over 65 and I do not wear body make up or dark brown makeup on my face I have very fair skin,(which was the color of the makeup on the top). Even after explaining how unique this was that one item I'm returning had makeup on it and that it wasn't from me. Even after all the years of shopping with Zara, none of it mattered and I had to pay for a top that doesn't fit, I don't like, and it has someone else's make up on it. Recently, I was lied to by one of their cashiers that my item (online purchase) was outside of the return window when I brought it on the last day of the return period, and she instructed me to call Zara so they can send me a return label. Being that this conversation took place on Saturday evening, I wasn't able to call until Monday and was then told that they will not make an exception since my item is outside of the return policy timeframe - despite having been falsely instructed by one of their own. Dang! I had no idea that this store had taken such a turn. Like so many other people reviewing, I had been a loyal customer for about 20 years. Ever since they opened in the states, I've raved and referred them to friends and family. Until today. The arrogance of the register staff is astonishing. From 2:25 until about 2:50 pm on a Thursday, I waited to return a shirt. I chose this time so that I wouldn't have a long wait. Boy, oh boy was I wrong. Despite this wait, the shirt is still in its bag in my car. It will likely be at Goodwill tomorrow. I couldn't wait anymore. And as I turned around to leave, I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY to see that on this weekday afternoon, there were no less than TWENTY PEOPLE behind me patiently waiting. There is little doubt that these people will be in line for over an hour in order to be condescended to by one of the two cashiers that are laughing and joking with not a care in the world. Completely disregarding the fact that there is a massive disfunction going on around them. While in line, a young lady ahead of me was checking out with about 6-8 items. While checking out, she evidently recognized that she forgot to get something. With over 20 people behind her, this was seemingly OK with the guy at the register. It obviously meant "Break time" for him. So, she disappeared for about 5 minutes while he chatted with the other cashier about the weather or the Diamondbacks or god only knows what. One thing he didn't do, was address another patient customer or even hint to apologize. This was when I went up to them and asked if they actually "saw what was going on here..." The female cashier got snooty with me, explaining that "They are working as hard as the can..." That said, based on my 25 minutes of observations...Uh...NO...you're not. But either way, this a mismanagement at a grand level. THERE IS ZERO REASON THAT A LINE SHOULD EVER BE LIKE THIS AT ANY DAY OR TIME OF THE WEEK. For many years the register on the mens side is simply closed. Not unattended...don't get me wrong. Someone is always there. But you are always instructed to go elsewhere to check out. This is a given. There is no "wondering if it will be open or not?". It is permanently closed, despite the fact that there are 2 registers there and staff present. Additionally, there are a ton of employees milling about. I saw at least 4 people today pushing empty bins. The premise would be that they are stocking displays. But the bins were empty, and stuff is not flying off the shelves like this either way. Staff is everywhere. Just not doing anything at all to accommodate their customers. There is no way to call the store directly. And it is only when you call a customer service number buried deep in their voicemail message, that you get somebody that will patiently listen to you. Nonetheless, this person doesn't want your contact information and has no real function in assisting you. Just acting as a human box of kleenex for your tears or a sounding board. Nothing more. When I am in Mexico, I will visit Zara. Here, I feel like they actually care. But in Scottsdale...holy smokes are they mismanaged and filled with arrogant young adults that seemingly believe that they "Are too good to work at Zara". You know what? Maybe they are. Let them move on either by their own volition or by yours. Hire people that care, and reflect this in their work ethic. Either that, or have the decency to close. read more

I used to love the brand but what I have experienced in the recent visits make me not want to shop there anymore. 1) Only self-check out were available the two recent visits that I was there. 2) The two times that I was there, I had items that were not able to be scanned and need associate to help out. The sensors attached to the clothes are hassle and flawed. My worst self-check out experience ever! 3) when I return some of items, came to find out I was scanned or paid for one extra item that we didn't have. More often than not, the Mens section is messy to say the least, with clothes piled everywhere and left out instead of being neatly folded and hung on the racks. This has been a consistent issue ever since the store expanded their style to include more streetwear. I blame their new target audience, lol. In contrast, I have a much better shopping experiences at ZARA & Zara Home at Andares Shopping Mall in Guadalajara, Mexico. Andares is similar if not more upscale than Fashion Square. It's a night-and-day difference when it comes to quality in customer service and store upkeep, and a reminder that not all ZARA locations are created equal. While I appreciate the variety of clothing options available, the consistently messy men's section and lack of attention to detail make for a frustrating shopping experience at this location. read more

Disgusted by the service we received from Delia. First of all every register is self service. At the time it was crowded with a line she wouldn't leave our sight and wouldn't let us scan our own things I would say great customer service but the fact that she was rude and was throwing the clothes was disgusting. I did make a complaint to the manager for the most important reason of being rude to my 2 yr old grandson who I just purchased over $400 of clothes for him. I ordered jeans online. They came in and didn't fit. I returned them. They won't accept the return because they said I wore them. Which I didn't. They still had tags on them and didn't fit me. I guess a tag was cut out on the inside. (Which I didn't do) so obviously someone else bought them and returned them and then they sent them to me and I tried to return them and they wouldn't accept them. Totally screwed me. read more
