I really used to go to Zara a lot, the New York Zara's are more fashionable and business casual than other locations. At this store in particular though the workers were on their phone and not helping with fitting rooms/on the floor, I had such good service a year ago and now it seems a little overwhelming being there and they misplaced the held items and said they were back on the floor when we checked they weren't in the sizes chose. Eventually they found them but we were only there for an hour and in that span of 40 min they decided to put our stuff back?! Really dissatisfied it seemed that the workers there were miserable and didn't care about the customers. read more

Always a long line, managers will not help and if and when they do they will take one person and the come off the line even thought the line is not cleared. They do not address the customers and offer an apology for the inconvenience. There system is messed up so be sure to look at the items that had been rung up before you pay because if not they will not return the item, when in actuality it there system ringing things up wrongfully. read more

BEYOND RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT & STAFF, especially the BALD GUY (sorry no one wanted give away his name). Walked in to do some shopping, browsed for 2 mins left, the only item I looked at hanging on the hanger and while walking out (while wearing a mink coat, Chanel hat and Dior bag) heard the bald sales professional in his 40s screaming at me with a very accusing voice "Hey, where's the sweater!?" I said "What!?" It's hanging right there! The Sales Professional, is super rude, negative, unprofessional, just a minute earlier when I walked by him he was being negative about his colleagues . He made feel so horrible like a criminal and when I asked to speak with the manager, they refused to call her ( Neda, Naeda they would spell her name). I had to go find her and she refused to tell his name and wasn't cooperative at all then he ran downstairs and literally grabbed her by the hand, trapped her in the stockroom and forcefully not allowed her to listen to me and no one ever came out to apologize for accusing me of stealing for no reason creating such a disrespectful, better said disgusting shopping experience. Haven't waked into Zara for years( thankfully I can afford no to) and def will not walk into that location! read more

Worst Zara I've ever been to. Line of ten people and people working here are chit chatting and taking 5-19 min per customer.

I was in dire need of new jeans. I had a pair that had a big hole in the crotch area and I had done my research before going to this location. I went downstairs to the men's section and I was helped by a salesperson (I didn't get the name) and the salesperson said that these particular jeans were made of higher quality fabric and meant to last longer than their normal (basic) jeans. I tried on a size 46 (36 US) and they fit perfectly! I promptly bought three pairs (2 black and 1 blue). I was so happy to find a pair of jeans that actually fit me since my size is very hard to find. Normally this location gets 1-2 stars but I haven't had any problems with this location and it is the closest for me. The staff were all wearing masks and they had a sign that said that masks were recommended but not mandatory if you were fully vaccinated. read more

The problems are a plenty at this Zara but one of the most annoying inefficiencies is that employees are required to button up, tag, and hang any and all return items AS they're processing the return. This makes absolutely no sense. It adds an extraordinary amount of time and leads to long, slow lines. Be prepared. Bring water. read more

Manager named Janeel is extremely rude . Came here tonight and apparently their policy is to kick people out 4 minutes after the store closes. While I was still browsing, and going to enter a different section of the store, she proceeded to tell me the whole area was closed off because they were closed. Never have I been kicked out of a store 4 minutes past closing. Additionally, a gentleman that was attempting to continue shopping at 8:04 pm was also told off as she followed him and expressed to him that the elevator up to the mens floor was "broken". DO NOT GO HERE! COMPLETE RIP OFF!!! Went to get my daughter some clothes & shoes on sale. Wasn't able to check the items til I got home- I realized that they charged the full price on toddler shoes. Went back & spoke to cashier but refused to honor the sale price! They said the red tags are not there but definitely they were from the sale rack.-- and there were red tags when i got them. I wouldn't have bought it for full price. Cashier talked in a condescending tone like you're the one who's clueless and at fault. Will never go back here. Line is always long, no matter what time or day you go. Can't find any associates on the floor to help & there's only 2 cashier stations on the main floor. There's a lack of urgency, racks are a mess, selection is lacking and too much of it is dirty or damaged . Go to another Zara. read more

Had to wait in line and watch an employee (f) berate another employee (m) in front of the entire store. Truly torture to watch the younger employee ask sincere questions early in training and just have them belittled and disregarded. So many nice shoes but TOO BAD that the Size 41 is really the fit of a 10. Sometimes it even feels like a 9 1/2. So frustrating & Zara is loosing money. Great location, however, they could be better as far as customer service! Sales, people (women) not friendly and not concerned about the customer, they will lawl away from you while you're still talking to them. Flat out rude! Ring up a customer, if the customer is having issues with their card their checkout terminals should be able to just suspend the sale until the customer returns with better payment method, instead they cancel the whole purchase of $550. and returned every item back to the sales floor??? Customer service not the friendliest. This is my second time here and had to deal with rude employees and long lines. I normally wouldn't comment over that but just had an interesting experience in this particular location. Standing in line returning an item the manager is behind the desk and I kindly ask her how far along she was pregnant because I am in my 7th month and love talking to other moms to be - she looked up at me and said " Far" and just walked away. Rude employees, defective garments and the worst customer service I've ever had!!! I purchased a turtleneck in LA for my trip to NY and the 1st time wearing it, I noticed two identical holes in the sleeves. I went to exchange it (with tags but no receipt) and they didn't have the same item so they let me get something else for the same price. I picked out a skirt without trying it on. Little did I know it was terribly made and the zipper doesn't lay flat. It bends & curves and is not flattering. I tried to bring it back again but they wouldn't let me exchange for something else. Tried calling customer service and they told me there is nothing they could do. Two different garments were defective and yet they won't give me my $40 back. I've loved Zara in the past but I'm never shopping there again. They should've at least told me it was final sale so I could've tried it on or went with the same sweater in a different color. Now I'm stuck with a shitty skirt that I'll never wear. No wonder the clothes are so cheap- bad quality. read more

After being to a few Zara stores throughout the country, this location is what I expected. No frills location with everything that you need. The staff was helpful and provided me with all the information that I needed. I was looking for a winter jacket and didn't really have an idea of what particular style would resonate with me so I proceeded to try on nearly every jacket that I came in touch with. That being said, when they actually have customers, you would think the "workers" would want the customers to buy and that the "workers" would have no issue helping clients. This location does not have a good selection like other locations such as Soho and Fifth Avenue. For my birthday I got a dress from Zara from a friend, without a gift receipt. I went to 4 different Zara stores to be told they no longer had this dress and the only thing they could do for me was exchange it for the same item since I did not have a gift receipt. At the 5th store I went to, they once again told me they no longer sold this dress and told me to call customer service. I called customer service, only to receive the WORST customer service I ever received by a MANAGER. She went on to tell me that there is nothing they could do since I did not have a gift receipt. However, I am not a rude person and would never ask someone who is giving me a gift to also provide me with a gift receipt in case I did not like the item or had to exchange it for a different size. This manager went on to tell me that I had no options since I didn't have the receipt. So now I am stuck with a dress I love but it is not in my size so I can't wear it, meaning I will have to just toss it away because they can't even give me store credit or provide me with any other options. This is the most ridiculous return policy. Every other store I buy clothes at, I can always return gifts for store credit or the same item. I was a loyal Zara customer for YEARS, yet NEVER again will I or anyone in my family step foot in this store. Thanks for the worst customer service experience ever!!!!! read more

I wish it was a way I could give this Zara establishment on 66th street a big zero instead of one star. I've been a frequent shopper of the brand for almost two years now, as I look to them to help style not only myself but artists that I attend events with. However, this location needs a severe shakeup in its staff. The women in here are rude, then when you go downstairs to the men's section, no one walks over to ask if you need help. This has happened to me on two separate occasions. The first occasion I happened to be with my girlfriend, no one asked her for help either. And the second time(today), they gave me a hard time over a pair of pants I returned due to a tear in the back pocket. The manager tried her best to convince me it's just extra fabric, but extra fabric and a tear is two different things. Common sense would be to provide good customer service and move along. Unfortunately, customer service is a lost art at this location. I'm trying to pull the race card here, but if your an African American male walking into a clothing store predominately filled with Caucasian workers and no one wants to help you, what else would you think? Everything I've ever purchased here has fallen apart after just a few washes and considering their quality, that fast fashion does not come cheap when you pay $100+ for a blazer that won't last you 2 months despite proper care... This place has the worst customer service. The sales staff are all rude and act completely indifferent when you ask for help. I bought $500+ worth of clothes at the Zara on the Broadway and 66th Street location today for my daughters but I seriously wanted to walk out in the middle of our shopping because of their attitude. The woman in the ground floor dressing room yelled at me "NOT ON THE TABLE!" for attempting to return clothes that did not fit or weren't right. There were other clothes pile on top of the table already so I just assumed that that was where the rejects were supposed to go. Then later she yelled at us again when we tried to give her more clothes without the hanger. She said, "NOT WITHOUT THE HANGERS, I MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT!" WTF? Really Zara? Is this what you call customer service? Later, when we went to check out, I asked a cashier if she thought a mark on one of the tops would come out. Ignoring my question, she immediately replied, "Zara doesn't give discounts for stains on clothes." I'm definitely not surprised by all of the negative reviews here. No matter what day or time, this location will have a slow line. The employees take their sweet time checking people out. 12 people on line & only 2 clerks at the register is not ok. I'm a huge Zara shopper and this is my least favorite location strictly because of this. I don't mind that it's one of the smaller stores, I just mind that there's no type of importance given to the client at this location.
