    Rib eye fries. So delicious.

Cute indoor/outdoor restaurant in the promenade area of Loreto. We stopped in for dinner and drinks on a Friday night. Service - we were immediately greeted when we arrived. It was the night of the Mile Tyson/Jake Paul fight and soccer was on the TV in the bar. We asked if they could put on the fight and without hesitation, they did. Our server was attentive and offered great food suggestions. Food/Drink- we started with their West Coast IPA. Being an IPA Fanatic out of San Diego, I wasn't impressed. However, I have yet to find decent microbrews anywhere in Mexico. So, I switched it up to a Cadillac Margarita that was OUTSTANDING! We started with some chips and guac and their ribeye fries. The guac was good and the fried were glutinously delicious. Will need an extra workout. For dinner, our server recommended the rib eye burrito for me and my buddy got the fish and chips. My burrito was one of the best I have ever had. Lots of steak and simply delicious. The portions were huge. We barely ate 1/2 our dinner after the big appetizers. I'd skip the apps next time. Prices/Value- it is crazy how expensive some parts of mexico have become. We were in Ensenada the prior two nights for the Baja 1000 and prices there felt like NY. $15 margaritas. I own a home in cabo and tell people dining out is as expensive as San Diego down there. It was refreshing to get a REASONABLE bill. We had the two apps, two meals, 2 beers, 2 Cadillacs and a bottle of water for about $80. The value was excellent. I love Loreto and will be back to Zapatas.

This micro brewery has great local beers, excellent guacamole, and DAVID puts together a really great playlist of chill electronic music.

If you're looking for a cool spot to enjoy great food and fantastic vibe, this is it! I had a West Coast IPA and enjoyed the live music they have all summer long Thursdays and Saturday nights. You can hang with the locals and the few lucky ones who know this place is here. It's in the heart of the downtown night life with the Mother of Baja Missions right down the alley and several top rated restaurants all around. The owner is super chill and speaks perfect English as well as most of the staff in case you get stuck on words, but do try your best Spanish- they'll help when you get stuck. But asking for beer should be the first thing you can get! The owner said his breakfast was worth coming back for the following morning and he was right! French Toast to die for as well as chilaquiles-red or green, huevos rancheros with shrimp and of course avocado toast that's a meal alone! We even rented beach cruisers for cheap and took a nice cruise down the alley filled with restaurants and shops all the way to the beach and the marina. What doesn't this place have? I'm definitely making it my hidden spot--but now you know! Cool artwork that will keep you interested in every nook and cranny. I can't wait to return!

Great little bar and restaurant near downtown Loreto. It was right next to our AirBnB, so we stopped in every day of our trip. They were open every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was never too busy except for Saturday when there was some great live music. It is a slower time in Loreto though, and it was very hot outside. It's all open with no AC, but there are a lot of fans to keep the air moving. We loved the decor. Such a fun, but laidback vibe. The swing seats along the outside were a cute touch as well. Everything seemed clean and taken care of as well. For the food - they had tacos and burritos, along with apps and ceviche. We never had breakfast there, but it looked to be a good variety. We tried fish tacos, carne asada tacos, shrimp ceviche, and chips and guac. With tacos you got a great little carrier with different toppings like salsa and pickled onions. We got the ceviche and guac twice and both were fresh and flavorful. Chips are super thick and crunchy. The drinks were are favorite part! The margaritas and mezcalitas were perfect! They had just the right balance of sweet and sour, and I never left feeling like I was sick on sugar. They had a lot of margarita flavor options as well. I had the jalapeño one. Had a good amount of spice without overtaking the flavor. They had a good assortment of beers, and of course lots of tequila and mezcal options. Most of the servers were very nice. They don't speak much English, so be prepared if you don't speak Spanish. Everything is pretty simple to order though, so we didn't usually have trouble. Upon leaving our last day, we stopped one more time for lunch. One of the guys there was also nice enough to help call us a cab to the airport. Once we got home, we were already missing being able to stop at Zapata on our way back to the AirBnB. If we are back in Loreto again, we will definitely be back to Zapata!

The tacos were loaded with perfectly cooked meat, grilled onions, fresh pico, and then you get to hit the little salsa station to top it exactly how you like it. Great variety and just the right amount of heat. And the pescado... unreal. It was so amazing I didn't even get a photo because I basically swallowed it whole . That's how good it was. What really stood out though was the kindness of the people running it. Super welcoming, hardworking, and genuinely friendly. You can tell they care about what they're serving. Simple spot, amazing food, awesome people. If you're in Loreto, don't miss this place.

Went on a Friday around 9am, as Google says that's the opening time. It was definitely still closed…read moreand no one could be seen doing prep or anything. Came back after noon, and it was quite busy. It's a little confusing because no one greets you at the door, nor is there an order counter. But just grab a seat wherever you can find one, and someone will come to get your order. They had 4 options available that day. We got the fish and carne asada. Go with flour tortillas if you can. I usually prefer corn, but we got a couple of each, and the flour were the best. All the tacos were delicious and having the salsa/topping bar is great, so you can add whatever hot sauce, salsas, and veggies. There were only 2 workers there, but they were working their butts off. Definitely try it out - just be prepared to be patient - it's worth it. They are super nice and the food is great!
